Love the hamburger tree. You should write a children's book about that...and have it really grow.

Bub-a-Lard? Perfect and painful. I like him already.

I love it! Hamburger tree! I wish someone would grow that cause that's one tree I wouldn't kill with my black thumb of death.

Gosh now I'm hungry. I need a burger!

Alert the media! It's official!

Stuart Neville, my Prince of Darkness, and the writer formerly known as "Conduit," has landed an agent - and not just any agent - but literary powerhouse and legend, Nat Sobel.

His agency, Sobel Weber Associates, New York, represents a few scribes you might have heard of: James Ellroy (L.A. Confidential, The Black Dahlia, American Tabloid), Joseph Wambaugh (The Choirboys, The Onion Field, Hollywood Station), Pulitzer winner Richard Russo (Nobody's Fool, Empire Falls, Bridge of Sighs), F.X. Toole (Rope Burns - adapted for the screen as the multi Oscar winning Million Dollar Baby - and Pound for Pound), Robert Jordan (the Wheel of Time series), Tim Dorsey (the Serge Storms series), and many more.

Oh, Nat also loves him some cats. My kind of guy.

And how did Stuart get on the Uber agent’s radar? I’m going to steal a bit of Stuart’s thunder and reveal to my blog peeps that Mr. Sobel scouted him on the Internet. That’s right – a big name agent was scouring the online crime magazines and plucked our man from obscurity. (of course I’ve been singing Stuart’s praises loud and clear since last fall when I first read his work in Agent Nathan’s Bransford’s writing contest). To those of you that don’t believe agents are poking around the world wide web looking for The Next Big Thing – here’s your proof. Here. Is. Your. Proof.

So do stop by and give a big shout out to the literary world’s best and brightest rising star!

*shake my booty*

Having already read Stuarts’s manuscript (it already holds the distinction of being only one of four books I liked well enough to finish this year) GHOSTS OF BELFAST, I can tell you it’s nothing by clover ahead for this blessed son of Northern Ireland.

Believe it or not, I woke up this morning wondering if you were reading and if you were what you thought. Yes perhaps I do have too much time on my hands! Thanks for the shout out!!

As for the hamburger tree, I now have a new "favorite thing" to think of when the dog bites, when the bee stings and when I'm feeling bad.

Maybe your sons could marry Ello's daughters and breed a species of superheros with fantastic humor as their superpower?

Give him a couple quarters to bury in the back yard for a money tree. ;)

Make sure you send him outside nightly to water it!

I love the kid comments - those are always my favorites!

Don't get me wrong, Bub-A-Lard sounds ... enticing. Maybe you should write a Hamburger Tree into the story for him!

A hamburger tree sounds perfect!!
It got me thinking about things I believed in when I was a kid, which now I am nearly grown up I realise was a silly thing to believe in, My grandad was forever finding money on the ground, I spent a huge part of my life looking down at the pavements looking for my share of the bounty. I must have been around 13 before I realised he was 'finding' his own money!!!

*snarf* Oh, dear dog! Planting sesame seeds to grow a hamburger tree... it's too cute!

But you shouldn't be supporting the idea, Travis. Beef growing on trees would make the beef a vegetable or a fruite. >:-D

Okay, Travis. I won't call you pervy, if you don't harass me about the fact my recent romance reading means any phrase with "massive girth and thick..." sends my mind a completely different direction than the delightful Bub-A-Lard.
