2011-07-06T11:07:41.666-07:00

http://www.miernikdesign.com/ is really good at hot rod design artwork, illustrations, models etc etc.

Remarkable artist who does photo quality airbrush paintings of hot rods

2011-07-06T11:07:41.667-07:00

Click on images for the full sizeRemember that I was taking these pictures at a bad angle so as to not let the artist know I was getting his images for free instead of paying for them. Turns out I was right, he doesn't have any full size images on the internet we can save for free to our computers for good wallpaper.http://www.guytempier.com/cadre.aspFrom a hot rod website:"French artist, Guy

San Diego cruises pull a big variety of vehicles

2011-07-06T11:07:41.667-07:00

Serious about off roading, this even has an inclinometer to check what angle it reaches on it's side Would someone tell this guy to park for pictures? And I do not the believe the hood emblems that claim only a 383... not likely.

This awesome Mustang now has a dedicated period perfect hauler

2011-07-06T11:07:41.667-07:00

I've taken more photos since this first gallery, for the most indepth and extensive: http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2008/08/tour-of-les-hauler-and-boss-302-much.html Last year this car was trailered around like most... but now? Enviable, classy, one of a kind ride in style! For more photos I've taken of Les Werling's hauler and Boss 302, http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2008/06/

Long miles are behind this Oldsmobile

Great custom... lots of cool features

2011-07-06T11:07:41.668-07:00

Check the dash for all the cool stuff, a door handle above the glovebox, custom airduct outlets, terrific shifter in the middle of the dash, great speedometer, and a Mack truck horn button

Stuff that caught my eye at the Escondido cruise

2011-07-06T11:07:41.669-07:00

Like the small Von Dutch "Flying Eyeball" between the Caddy headlights How cool is this custom exhaust dump cover! Its the only custom one I've ever seen.

Speedometers I like that were at Escondido

2011-07-06T11:07:41.669-07:00

Both of these are in VW micro buses, so why is one an 70 and the other a 80? Why waste budget on 2 models?

1969 Road Runner convertible

2011-07-06T11:07:41.670-07:00

Plymouth made fewer than 2000, so this is a very rare one, or a tribute. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plymouth_Road_RunnerPlymouth only paid Warner Brothers $50,000 for the licensing rights to the cartoon, and $10,000 to develop the distinct horn sound.

1927, when they built to last!

Cruisin' Escondido is fired up for 2008, starting with the featured marque Willys

2011-07-06T11:07:41.670-07:00

Vets like me may get a kick out of the mil spec number on the speedometer Notice that the aboce speedometer is a 90 mph, look here http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2008/03/willys-overland-still-truckin-in-good.html#links for a Willy's 140 mph in the same style. I like the font style. This 70's cb is still in the Willys, and I haven't seen old equipment like this in a long time... also, the engine

Also in the parking lot at the Bella Italia show

2011-07-06T11:07:41.671-07:00

The Camaro left the lights on, which drew my attention to the very nice restoration

The best towing in town for flat bed service... the only company Ferrari of San Diego uses, and I got that verified

2011-07-06T11:07:41.671-07:00

Something went wrong with a gearbox fluid... it happens.

Bella Italia... only happens once a year across from San Diego International Airport... a feast for the eyes

2011-07-06T11:07:41.672-07:00

I love the wind wing on the inside of this window.. far nicer design than the American vent window of the 60's

Desoto... concept car built by Ghia of Italy
