Formula One, also known as F1 racing began as early as the 1920s. The unique racing car sport originated in Europe and was initially called Grand Prix Motor racing. The sport underwent many changes in its rules and the essential formula after World War II. Grand Prix Motor racing was given a new formula - known today as Formula One around the mid-twentieth century, which gave precedence to the later established, Word Championship racing rules and the first Word Champion race in 1950. The introduction of team sponsorship and some technological upgrades to the race cars themselves over the years turned Formula One racing into a billion dollar industry.

Buddy Baker drove like the wind and was a NASCAR giant in his day. Buddy had a legendary 36 year career that started in 1959 and finished in nineteen ninety four at age fifty two. Baker ended his career with very impressive statistics. Baker had a total of nineteen wins in his career. Add to that 43 second-place finishes, 58 third-place finishes and 52 fourth-place finishes. All this in 699 career races. Richard Petty, Baker's good friend, is known to believe that with a little luck Buddy would have won 50 races. Baker's career winnings exceeded $ three,500,000 in an era when the purses were small by today's standards.

Ralph Dale Earnhardt Jr., was born October 10th, 1974 in Concord, North Carolina with the Earnhardt fire in his belly. Although his parents were separated when he was still a toddler, he is still very close to both his parents. A fire that burned down his mother's house forced him and his sister, Kelly, to live with Earnhardt Sr. and his new wife, Teresa, while his mother moved to Virginia.
