Comment on Wild rice chicken mushroom soup in the crockpot by Stacy @ Stylin' Stacy

This has a lot of flavor, and easy to just throw it all together. I realized I forgot to say that I added some cream at the end, but you don't really need it. It was still very thick and tasty and before I added that into the pot. There is a specialty olive oil place by 50th and Xerxes, too. The one I linked to is in Chaska. She actually gave me the little bottle of truffle oil for free since I already bought a bunch of other olive oils and vinegars. I love to cook with the good stuff!

My husband does the vast majority of cooking around here, but once in a while I will do a crockpot meal and this one looks perfect as it is gluten and dairy free! Plus I love chicken wild rice soup and we have a large crockpot and leftovers around here is no problem.

What a wonderful cat party! All of your ideas are awesome. The cat adoption is a super adorable idea! I totally did not recognize your girl, amazing how face paint can do that. How nice that they created cat toys for the local shelter. I will have to keep all of these ideas in mind for future reference as we have a cat lover in our household, too :)

Thanks! Now, I just have to remember to post my family stuff here. :) I do a big photo book every year, and the last few years I haven't had as much to document since the pickings have been slim. I need to photograph more than just the things I have made LOL!

I never get sick of sewing posts :-)...just have to get around to reading them :-D I REALLY like the little vest. That sets off the skirt so well and I can imagine it would go with quite a few things. I am going to be heart broken when she hits 14-15 and announces that only shop bought clothes will do hahahahaha. Don't worry though, then the round of proms will come and you can start creating again! Has Anya shown any interest in learning to sew herself? The BA was vaguely interested once but was totally put off after she pinned the pattern onto the shantung (evil, slippery stuff) without folding it in half. I haven't managed to get her back into it since then :-( Hope you have better luck.....

What a sad story about your friend. I wasn't expecting that ending; I was expecting that you had broken up so it was awful to hear what happened to him. The top is interesting. I see what you mean about the quilting cotton 'sticking up' too much. The horse stencil turned out very well. What are western wovens? Anya seems to have survived the freezing photo shoot. She looks happy enough with her new top anyway :-)
