Bullet Train Development: Developer with Ruby on Rails Experience

Thu, 23 Feb 2017 14:56:35 CST

We are looking for a freelance or part-time remote developer to add to our team. Our shop builds web applications and websites for clients throughout the United States, and our primary development framework is Ruby on Rails. While you do not need to be a Rails expert, you should be comfortable working within Rails applications.

You will be responsible for implementing website and web application updates requested by our clients. You will also be responsible for building out new websites using our custom-built content management system. Most of the time, we will provide the HTML templates for integration on our CMS; but sometimes, we will ask you to build out the HTML for splash pages and other simple projects.

You need to be very familiar with HTML, CSS, jQuery, and git. You need to be comfortable working with Rails, as we have legacy projects on older versions of Rails that still need love and care. You will be jumping between projects frequently. We want you to be available 10-20 hours per week.

We are builders. We don’t use pre-made website templates and love designing and building custom solutions for our clients. If you share our passion, we want to hear from you.

Apply: If you are interested in this opportunity, please send a cover letter, links to any projects you are proud of, and your hourly rate.
