Commented Issue: No longer works with .NET 4.0 [28995]

Thu, 14 Jun 2012 14:32:06 GMT

The Diagnostic APIs have been deprecated for .NET 4.0 and replaced with the ICLRMetaHost interfaces. Any chance of updating MSE to work under .NET 4.0? Thank you.

"Basically, if 4.0 is on the machine they need to use ICLRMetaHost. From there they can enumerate installed and/or already running runtimes via EnumerateInstalledRuntimes or EnumerateLoadedRuntimes, respectively. Each of those returns one, or more, ICLRRuntimeInfo interfaces from which they can create an instance of ICorDebug via the GetInterface method."

Use following tool for .NET 4.0 stack
Search Google for "CLR stack explorer"
Development for this tool seems to be dead

Created Issue: When attached to debugee process MSE leaves open process handles on itself [32638]

Tue, 01 May 2012 21:09:09 GMT

The problem could be easily seen in Task Manager or SysInternals Process Explorer (detailed). If MSE auto-refreshes stacks and threads in the process A, one can see in Task Manager that Handles count is climbing up. In Process Explorer could be seen that these handles are handles on MSE process.

New Post: All Threads have Status=Wait

Fri, 04 Jun 2010 19:34:49 GMT

MSE 1.0 is showing me that all of my threads have Status=Wait.  I know for sure that some of the threads are running, so the status is incorrect.  Why is this?
