AYMEN! I will be the first to flip comcast the finger and jump on the fiber bandwagon. My biggest hope: If they REALLY want to kick Comcast in the balls, don't give us download caps. I would jump ship for that alone even if the download speed wasn't as fast. I am getting tired of having to worry about my HD movie consumption. I have 4 computers in the houe all used by different people. My wife is from Ukraine and streams TV from a site we pay for. Add to that a Slingbox, Xbox 360, Wii. . . we come close every month to that 250 gig limit.

Such cases are for some lucky chief litigators to show their legal expertise and for some unlucky defendants who, from time to time, fall into the grips of law. On the internet there are hundreds of sites which are real slaughter houses of the intellectual property and they cannot be sued. To my opinion the concept of copyright must be world- wide reconstructed, along with its means of protection.

DIRECT BUY IS A SCAM - BUYS OUT INFOMERCIALSCAMS.COM TO COVER ITS TRACKS ! infomercialscams.com was strong-armed by direct buy and had to remove nearly 1,000 complaints about the direct buy scam. Why you ask. Cause when you google 'direct buy' the informercial scam site was ranked #2 by google. All that is left on the site is the fake reviews by direct buy. I would say to be very careful with dealing with a company that is afraid of what it customers post about it on the internet. This company is a scam. Go there, read the contract, its all in the contract. The contract basically states that direct buy is bound to nothing and you are bound to paying the $5,000 member fee. SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM fortunatly, the postings on the net never go away, just check archives http://web.archive.org/web/20080203104709/www.infomercialscams.com/scams/direct_buy_scams is this starting to sound like organized crime ?

Comment on 2008, the year D.R.M. hits your T.V. by sasquatc4

well if you have purchased it recently (within the past few years) you should be alright. Just check your manual and see if it mentions anything about hdcp. But just about any tv made in the past couple years supports it. The main issue is for those who purchased them more than 5 or so years ago, they usually have only dvi ports which may or may not support hdcp.

So, wait... Does this mean that the tv my wife saved for 5 months to buy me as a 'new house new toy' (we had recently purchased a new house, it was a suprise) may not work properly, and soon?

As a result of several threatening letters which Dozier Internet Law sent on behalf of their client Inventor-Link we have been busy at InventorEd over the past week. This is documented on www.CyberTrialLawyer-SUCKS.com and on www.InventorEd.org/caution/inventor-link/. Be sure to revisit the above referenced web pages as we are constantly updating and expanding the material. We are looking for a volunteer lawyer to draft ethics complaints on our behalf. We firmly feel that the attorneys at Dozier should have to explain their conduct. Frankly I wish that more of our invention promoter adversaries would hire firms like Dozier Internet Law. I think that they are real buffoons. Ronald J. After the 8/17 EPB board vote, TCTA ran color ads on 9/4 and 9/5 in the Chattanoogan blasting EPB's FTTH initiative. At the public meeting at EPB on 9/5 Ms. Briggs accused Dalton, GA; Bristol, TN; and other utility FTTH businesses as reporting false subscriber counts to "whomever", whereas Comcast reports accurately to Wall Street...like Adelphia and the Rigas' did???? She kept comparing EPB to Memphis which as a Chattanoogan I truly resent. To add insult, TCTA filed a frivolous lawsuit against EPB on 9/21 claiming they're breaking the law! I'm mad as hell at TCTA and Comcast for trying to stall EPB's entrance into FTTH. Thank God EPB's board and the City Council know a good thing for our community and are supporting this initiative. More of us need to continue to speak out in favor of EPB.

Comment on Free our Cell Phones! by Peavey

How is AT&T crippling applications and limiting what you can do and where you can go on the internet with the iPhone? It is Apple that has kept it closed and prevented people from writing applications for it, and the iPhone is the first mobile phone to support any and all web sites (if not all web content) rather than just mobile websites. Of course, there isn't a mobile phone that I know of that can play flash videos on a website. And I agree with RipRap. If you don't like having to use AT&T don't buy the iPhone. Personally, I have been a happy AT&T/Cingular customer for over five years, so you won't hear me complain.

Not to mention that another company's building is shown in the background of the image. I doubt that Holiday Inn got their permission to show that building in the background. They just don't seem to have any idea about their own hypocrisy, or stupidity.

Well now, look closely at that image. What do we have here? Did they hotel ask permission of the car company, landscape designer, construction contractor, architect, sign maker, paint company, asphalt company, or tire mfg. Oh, wait, there's one most important "person" here to ask permission of... God - the ultimate copyright holder of the sky. Copyright abuse? Yes, they are abusing the right to put he word "copyright" on this image. You be the judge - look at the zoomed in image. Who would even want to know what this image is, much less "steal" it.
