I agree with your list completely, but oh, so many I'd add, from delightfully cheezy:

Hardcastle & McCormick

To the even more delightfully cheezy:

Greatest American Hero

To the stolen from the movie soundtrack:

The Odd Couple

But, seriously, you must have been going from the seat of your pants if you left out this one:

I agree about Perry Mason being #1!

I agree with you that it is really expensive, but if it is really effective and really helps you, I'd rather cut other expences but managed to buy it

I got First World Problems when it was free, as well! I saw it on Freebooksy ( - which site did you see it on? I thought it was hilarious.

Yes I would have to agree. Philanthropists dont go around telling people they are philanthropists.

Really, though, that's another part of the bait-and-switch subtitle title; he doesn't deal very much at all with the supposed "death" of music radio.

John, thanks for the tip.  I'm sure the mistakes will frustrate me as well.  The suggestion that music radio may be dying, however, is very much premature.  In spite of satellite radio, Pandora, iProducts, etc.; radio remains the dominant provider of music-oriented programming - by a mile.

I found this very interesting, and the meaning absolutely relates to what I am going through right now!

Oh, excellent. I can tell I'm going to spend a lot of time browsing that site. Thanks so much for the tip!

I still look at daily. It's harder to find the really good stuff but I tend to find better things there than from the cherry-pickers like Pixels of Ink and Faith Based Fiction and Daily Deal. Those sites are all great but much more limited in scope.

So John what the Hades happened to Buck and Dottie's marriage? I have often thought that her back surges and bad health made him dump her,so what's the scoop?

Re: Paging the Doctor

Thank you for an incredibly thorough update!  I combined what I learned here with your History of Doctor Who in Six Minutes video...and I think I am up to speed enough to watch an episode and not be totally lost.  A great read...I appreciate it.

Re: It’s time to get things started on The Muppet Show tonight …

The movie was great, and Frank Oz is just wrong. If you get a chance, listen to npr's fresh air from this week. Terry Gross interviews Segel and the other writer and it's a lot of fun. I could watch the movie a few more times just to catch all the jokes that they piled on.

John, this is an great discription of the AIM programs.
I value the times I have spent "on the mountain" especially my 8 years with the Kaleidoscope program. I just wish my health would permit me to continue to spend two or three weeks each summer and fall in mission with Mountain TOP and AIM.   "Uncle Ben" Neal

I have to say, I'm still tearing up a little over last night.  The spiritual hymns were incredibly touching...and beautifully performed.  The showtunes (including one from my all time favorite, "Les Miz") took me back to a different time and place in my life.  Nate's gift at the keyboard combined with Sharon's incredible gift of voice was better than anything I've heard in a long, long time.  I definitely visited the donation jar...and I hope many were able to as well.  I hope they find it in their schedule to do this again...and again.
