"guess it's time to have another :)" Haha, that's exactly what I said!
Yep, you can get Mother's Milk at almost every grocery store in town. I actually hate the taste of it, and thankfully never had to use it.

Thanks Hannah :) So can you get Mother's Milk tea at Freddy's or do you have to go to Rainbow? I went to my local health food store and they only had one kind of Mother's Milk tea and it seemed pretty expensive... our Kroger store has really good prices so I wanted to check there too.

So true about the convenience of breastfeeding! And sad about Felix... guess it's time to have another :)

Great post Xela! Mother's Milk tea or fenugreek should help up your supply.
I seriously don't understand women who choose to formula feed before even trying to breast feed. The boob is so much more convenient!
Felix just self weaned within the last month (at 17 months)and it made me so sad. He's just too busy to want to sit and nurse any more.

Ok, so I can't figure out how to reply to individual comments, but CONGRATULATIONS LIZ! That's so exciting that you're having another baby :) We're still trying... hopefully it will happen soon because Gigi keeps saying she wants a baby sister!

And yes, I totally understood that you meant to say NOT :) You are seriously so amazing for being able to overcome all your breastfeeding obstacles and keep nursing as long as you have! Didn't you say Mother's Milk tea helped with your supply? I actually have that on my shopping list for tomorrow, because for the past couple days (for the first time in 21 months) I've been feeling like I don't have enough supply. It's been a rough couple of nights for Gigi :(

Oh, and when we get ready to homeschool our girls, we'll be able to turn to my good friend "a." for advice :)

a, I remember thinking that was the coolest thing when you told me that you were able to breastfeed c. after you adopted him! So sad to hear you had such problems after you got pregnant. But at least he was able to get 5 1/2 months worth of breastmilk... 5 times more than most adopted babies!! If I can get my milk supply back up, I'm going to try to find a milk bank to support other mommies who are forced to stop breastfeeding!

YEP! YEP! YEPPPP!!! I totally even nursed my adopted baby AND my 19 month old at the same time for a little while. It was crazy, but well worth it. I had to go to bottles when I got super sick being pregnant for with E - I cried and cried because I didn't want to stop, and he was only 5 1/2 months old. So sad and hard for me as a momma. Top that off with bottle feeding being HELL for me. He was allergic to everything, even the hospital grade preemie stuff. Cost an arm and a leg and STILL didn't fix his problems - whatever people may say, I'm convinced it is NOT the same as breastmilk. Love this article, now I'm going to read all your other postss!!!!

totally agree, Xela. great post!

i remember having a hard time with Dinah around 3 months; i was very dehydrated and hungry all the time and the milk was letting down fast enough so she would get impatient and cry. i decided to get some herbs to boost my milk production and i upped my carbs and just ate more in general. i remember thinking if i could just make it six months i'd be happy. it didn't take long before things were back to normal. we happily passed the sixth month mark and are still growing strong.

Ben and i just found out we're pregnant again and so far, nursing is still good. i feel pretty confident that Dinah will ween herself when it's time.
