Open Question: i found a potential dinosaur fossil...what do i do next?

Sun, 10 Aug 2008 22:29:00 +0000

Open Question: i found a potential dinosaur fossil...what do i do next?
do i go to a near-by museum to find out its value if any? Where would i go to find that info? Suggestions?

Open Question: why did god give us science to just contradict the bible?
science has given us some wonderful things. just imagine your lives without science. we would not have any telephones, televisions, automobiles, electric power, artificial light, air conditioners, stoves, microwave ovens, clocks, buildings, roads, and the list goes on. because of science we have seen some incredible things like nuclear fission, the mapping of the genome, stem-cell research, creating synthetic materials, we can even arrange atoms at our will. if god created these wonderful laws that we have been able to use to such incredible lengths, then why did he create them to go against what is written in the bible. examples are: the age of the universe. every sign scientists have show that the universe is 16 or so billion years old, not 6,000. we even have carbon dating which goes by specific scientific principals of radioactive decay that show that the earth is far older that 6,000 years. creation. scientists have fossil remains from over a dozen obviously different species of humanoids that were definitely not monkeys that have existed through the last 4 million years. evolution. evolution has been seen in fossil remains over both the short and long terms. we have seen species that have changed certain characteristics over periods of time. the t-rex for instance evolved a narrower snout and widened head to increase vision. on the short term we can see insects that become resistant to insecticides and bacteria that become resistant to antibiotics. the great flood. in order to have the earth flood , the ice caps would have had to melt, yet we can analyze core samples of the caps that date back millions of years. if you have any doubts to the validity of this, look them up. there is no way i can provide all the information in a small column to validate this. so if you have questions, look into it. information is free. as you can see, this column is already too long =P there is so much more, why would god create science to contradict most of the bible?

Own Your Own Meteorite
Later this month, several small meteorites will be auctioned off by a major auction house. Purchasing space artifacts has become big business, says Robert Pearlman, an expert on space-related collecting.

Pilot Reports/Sightings of UFO's:Black Box Evidence (Part 5)

Fri, 08 Aug 2008 21:13:00 +0000

Pilot Reports/Sightings of UFO's:Black Box Evidence (Part 5) This is a definite must see for any individual out in this very large World to view and ponder upon. It goes into great detail on Pilot sightings of Unidentified Flying Objects throughout our recorded history that we know of by Airliner, Air Force, and Military trained pilots who have witnesed these phenomenal anomalies in the night sky while they were in the air on flight missions or simply just flying from state to state. This set of videos has a very large amount of evidence that is proof that things that the mainstream public does not know about that are flying in the skies and also even trailing flights of civilians as well as Military pilots. Black Box recordings are played back and discussed by the many credentialed individuals who overview them and explain UFO's and their nature of flight. Astronaut recordings are also heard and analyzed and I believe those are the most startling because they are reported by experts who know much about objects in the skies of our Earth as well as miscellaneous objects such as space junk, shooting stars, and mini-meteorites in the night sky and in the vast blackness yet star filled skies of Outer Space. Our so called World Leaders/Government officials try to cover these things up and they put a lot of work into hiding it away from the public's eyes. The TRUTH MUST come out and this program helps us "Truth Seekers and Spreaders" to step up so to speak on the ladder to the ultimate reality that these things are real. Please Visit The History Channel: http://www.history.com/ Author: tidus11087 Keywords: ufos black box secrets aliens astronauts outer space flying saucers pilots air force extraterrestrials UFO Added: August 7, 2008 Ancient Vegetation, Insect Fossils Found in Antarctica (Fox News) Further evidence of tundra climate near South Pole millions of years ago. UFO crushed IN Needles Las Vegas A large object with a turquoise hue plummeted out of the sky earlier this summer and plowed into the earth south of Las Vegas near Needles, California. Eyewitnesses say this was no meteorite, especially since a bunch of helicopters came looking for it and then hauled it away. The object was seen in the early morning hours of May 14. It appeared to crash into the ground just west of the Colorado River. And that's when things got interesting for residents of the area. Somewhere in the rough terrain just west of the Colorado River and south of Needles is a point of impact, maybe some burn marks, created by something that fell from the sky. Frank Costigan saw it because he got up at 3 a.m. to let his cat out -- a fiery object that flashed across the sky, but it wasn't a meteor he says. "It was bright, bright enough that it illuminated the ground," he said. For seven years, Costigan worked as the chief of airport security at L.A.X. He says the mystery object flew out of the north east, heading southwest, traveling very fast, but at one point it slowed down, then sped up again. "It went behind a hill, and I waited to see if I could hear it crash because as big as it was, it was bound to make noise," he said. But he didn't hear a crash. Hours later, David Hayes, the owner of KTOX Radio in Needles, was coming to work when he spotted an odd formation of dark vehicles getting off the highway. He drew a picture of the lead vehicle, a large truck with a dome on top and a black structure that reminded him of a stealth fighter. "It seemed like it was some kind of surveillance vehicle -- four-wheel drive. It had government plates, U.S. government plates and behind it were a couple of vans that looked [...]

President Bush Lifts Off-Shore Drilling Ban, Blames Democrats for Energy Crisis

Fri, 08 Aug 2008 07:33:00 +0000

President Bush Lifts Off-Shore Drilling Ban, Blames Democrats for Energy Crisis Today President Bush lifted the executive ban on off-shore drilling first enacted by his father is 1990, and had the audacity to blame Democrats for the high price of gas. No, I’m not kidding.  Download | Play   Download | Play  Bush’s cynicism on this issue is simply breath-taking. He’s trying to exploit the anger Americans are feeling over the crushing price of fuel by blaming Democrats and challenging them to allow a vote on a bill that would have ZERO immediate impact on fuel costs, but would be very difficult (politically speaking) to oppose. Just like the Republicans do with every possible issue, they feed off voter resentment and play cynical politics with a very serious and complicated problem. The fact that opening up off-shore drilling sites won’t yield more resources for at least a decade doesn’t matter. What matters is that Republicans can use the issue as a political bludgeon to bash Democrats with, all the while just prolonging our addiction to foreign oil. Shameful. Nicole adds: And for all the talk that drilling would provide a psychological boost and drop prices, it’s noteworthy that oil is slightly up today at more than $145/barrel. You’d think such a presidential announcement would provide a nice drop — even if short-lived — if there was a psychological element to this. Nope. Senator Obama: If offshore drilling would provide short-term relief at the pump or a long-term strategy for energy independence, it would be worthy of our consideration, regardless of the risks.  But most experts, even within the Bush Administration, concede it would do neither.  It would merely prolong the failed energy policies we have seen from Washington for thirty years.  Check below the fold for more responses and a thorough debunking on this farce George Bush and John McCain call an energy policy.  Carol Pope, Executive Director of the SierraClub: “This is the most cynical of political ploys.  Even the Bush administration admits that offshore drilling will do absolutely nothing to lower gas prices, today, tomorrow, or even a decade from now.  This is nothing more than an attempt to exploit the suffering of hardworking Americans in order to pad Big Oil’s bottom line. […] America simply cannot afford another president from the Grand Oil Party.  Speaker Pelosi: Once again, the oilman in the White House is echoing the demands of Big Oil. Progressive Accountability put together this fact sheet: McCain’s Voting Record And Policies Favor Big Oil McCain’s Tax Plan Gives Top Five Oil Companies $3.8 Billion A Year In Tax Breaks. According to a study conducted by the Center for American Progress, “The McCain plan would deliver approximately $170 billion a year in tax cuts to corporations, including some corporations that are very large and profitable. Just one of the proposals-cutting the corporate rate from 35 percent to 25 percent-would cut taxes for five largest U.S. oil companies by $3.8 billion a year.” [Center for American Progress, 3/27/08] McCain Voted Against Reducing Dependence On Foreign Oil. In 2005, McCain voted against legislation calling on the President to submit a plan to reduce foreign petroleum imports by 40 percent. [Senate Roll Call Vote #140, 6/16/05]   In 2005, McCain Voted Against a Windfall Profit Tax on Oil Companies At Least Twice. McCain voted against a measure that would have provided an income tax rebate to Americans by taxing enormous oil com[...]
