Of course, another outstanding library blog is this one of your own! Cheers for all the helpful tips/advice/walkthroughs that have been really useful.

Ah, I think my lady at bus-stop might be your 'Lady in Red'. Detailed descriptions of these characters would be most helpful, today I saw a man on a Schwinn, so not pink and not a lady...maybe a variation on a theme?

Goth lady and holding hands couple? I shall keep my eye out for them.

I'm not sure about a fat lady at a bus stop, we have Lady in Red who is a large lady in a red anorak, usuallly seen walking up Histon Road away from Nasreen Dar, she may wait for a bus further on.

Some of them defy description. Reluctant dog- now a real rarity- is an paunchy labrador who is reluctantly taken for a walk, or perhaps a drag woud be more appropriate? Moonwalker was initially spotted in moon boots cf. silver boots on Vote for Pedro x2, she has since been spotted in a variety of comfortable shoes.

I think we need detailed descriptions. We've already added a new one since this list was published: Happy-Skippy Man, the happiest man to cross Gilbert Road- always a good vibe to start the day with!

I need to leave for work earlier to see more of these! Do you have fat lady at bus stop or holding hands couple (although haven't seen them for ages) on your list?

Aw, thanks, Ange. I'm blushing, which is a weird sensation given that I'm also retching because of that disgusting picture you've posted... :)

I have only seen German Army Helmet Dude once or twice, but mostly on Gilbert Road on my way home, I saw lady on a green bike with pink helmet this morning though.

There is always Goth Lady, all in black with mega long hair who pretty much walks my entire route in.

I am intrigued by some of your people specially Reluctant dog and Moonwalker, I'm pretty sure I have never seen them...

I'm so glad it's not just us! A colleague put me on to German Army Helmet Dude, but we only see him on his bike if we are really late. As you've spotted AJ/MM have a look for the the lady on a green Schwinn style bike with pink helmet.

Hawaiian Santa is one of my favourites: sometimes it's blue prints, sometimes red, but with that beard he's unmistakeable.

You'll have to share your top spots with us- welcome to a new level of geekery!

I cycle down Histon Road every day and think I recognise a couple off your list, my favourite is Alternative jogger (or Metal Man as we call him) after months of seeing him we have worked out that he must work in Histon as we seem him jogging back down Histon Road in the evening, he makes me feel really unfit...and you got to love Santa, he comes in the library most days and is quite lovely.

Some folk are destined to fall off the list as we haven't seen them in a long while, e.g. Tall Reader and Orange Monk. Actually quite worried about them. We do care about our Histon Road regulars you know!

Hah! Typography is also one of my strange (and sadly ill-informed) interests. Should we have a geeky trip to St Bride's Library sometime?

Mwah! Love the KISS philosophy. Especially in this day and age where there is so much information about, KISS helps you keep from overloading.
Like your point about checking web content in different browsers. I often forget to do this.

I love this. Thank you.

esclib:

Sadly I'm rather boring and prefer black, white and perhaps grey if I'm feeling a little outgoing. FoxTabs is one of my occasional tools, particularly useful when giving presentations when nerves can sometimes make it difficult to find the tab you're after, it tends to look a bit impressive too. I just wish they would make one for Chrome.

Thanks Beauty,
I installed fox-tab on one of my profiles home ubuntu machine and loved it, so installed it on main profile at home & work and promptly forgot about it. Will revisit what looked like a good idea at the time.
Do you have colorful tabs too?

Sarah

myfav.es looks and sounds amazing--just what I was looking for! I've been using the Chrome 'launch page' but having a maximum of 8 options just isn't good enough! thanks for bringing it to my attention. just a pity it's spelt so crazy... :)

This looks interesting.

I use the MyBookmarks add-on in Firefox. It allows you to open a group of bookmarks with the click of a button in secondary tabs, while keeping the bookmarks page open. Works brilliantly.

Done :) Thanks

It's definitely home time for me, managed to mess up my reply to your Doodle poll by making them all yellow (I can if I really have to) rather than green (yes please).

Hangs cam23 head in shame.

Thanks - I've added it too!

My holy trinity is the wheel click, Alt + Tab to tab between windows and Ctrl, Shift + T to resurrect the tab you inadvertently closed on Chrome or Firefox. I love keyboard shortcuts!

Glad you both like myfave.es, visually stunning and achingly simple.
