Panic! At The Disco, Twenty One Pilots And Linkin Park All Nominated For Billboard Music Awards

Tue, 17 Apr 2018 17:11:00 +0100

The 2018 Billboard Music Awards nominees have been announced, and some of our favourites have scored themselves nominations. The 2018 Billboard Music Awards will see Panic! At The Disco go toe to toe with the likes of Linkin Park, Imagine Dragons, U2 and Portugal. The Man for Top Rock Album. An especially interesting group of nominees, given that Panic! At The Disco's nominated album 'Death Of A Bachelor' wasn't actually released within the nomination period. And then in the category of Top Rock Artist, we'll be seeing Twenty One Pilots face off against Linkin Park, Imagine Dragons, Portugal. The Man, and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers. The biggest snubs for the awards though come in the form of Paramore's incredibly well received 'After Laughter', and Fall Out Boy's 'MANIA' which debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200 Album Chart earlier this year.  Check out the full list of nominees for the 2018 Billboard Music Awards below: Top Artist: Drake Kendrick Lamar Bruno Mars Ed Sheeran Taylor Swift Top New Artist: 21 Savage Camila Cabello Cardi B Khalid Kodak Black Billboard Chart Achievement Award: Camila Cabello Cardi B Drake Sam Hunt Ed Sheeran Top Male Artist: Drake Kendrick Lamar Bruno Mars Post Malone Ed Sheeran Top Female Artist: Camila Cabello Cardi B Halsey Demi Lovato Taylor Swift Top Duo/Group: The Chainsmokers Coldplay Imagine Dragons Migos U2 Top Billboard 200 Artist: Drake Kendrick Lamar Ed Sheeran Chris Stapleton Taylor Swift Top Hot 100 Artist: Imagine Dragons Kendrick Lamar Bruno Mars Post Malone Ed Sheeran Top Streaming Songs Artist: Cardi B Drake Kendrick Lamar Post Malone Ed Sheeran Top Song Sales Artist: Imagine Dragons Kendrick Lamar Bruno Mars Post Malone Ed Sheeran Top Radio Songs Artist: Halsey Imagine Dragons Bruno Mars Charlie Puth Ed Sheeran Top Social Artist: Justin Bieber BTS Ariana Grande Demi Lovato Shawn Mendes Top Touring Artist: Coldplay Guns N’ Roses Bruno Mars Ed Sheeran U2 Top R&B Artist: Chris Brown Khalid Bruno Mars SZA The Weeknd Top R&B Male Artist: Khalid Bruno Mars The Weeknd Top R&B Female Artist: Beyonce Rihanna SZA Top R&B Tour: Bruno Mars Lionel Richie The Weeknd Top Rap Artist: Drake Kendrick Lamar Lil Uzi Vert Migos Post Malone Top Rap Male Artist: Drake Kendrick Lamar Post Malone Top Rap Female Artist: Bhad Bhabie Cardi B Nicki Minaj Top Rap Tour: J. Billie Joe Armstrong is a man on a mission with his new side-project The Longshot.

So here's what you've missed, to get you up to speed.

01. Two weeks ago, Billie Joe Armstrong was teasing a project on instagram called The Longshot, but it linked through to a locked instagram account.

02. Last week The Longshot dropped their debut single 'Love Is For Losers', by sending it in an unmarked box to a Bay Area radio station. They also unlocked their instagram account.

03. The Longshot dropped four tracks on YouTube the same day.

04. Over this past weekend, The Longshot had their live debut at an Oakland record store. We also found out who the other members of the band are.

Now, because Billie Joe is on a mission, The Longshot have dropped an additional two songs 'Kill Your Friends' and 'Body Bag'. At this stage, by the time The Longshot drop their debut album we'll have heard all the songs. Not that we're complaining.

Too Close To Touch Have Parted Ways With Two Members

Tue, 17 Apr 2018 10:23:00 +0100

"We are at once excited yet uncertain - elated yet melancholy."

Too Close To Touch have parted ways with guitarist Thomas Kidd and bassist Travis Moore.

They'll be continuing as a three-piece, and have revealed that they're currently recording new music.

"Too Close will be continuing as a 3 piece with Keaton, Kenneth, and Mason," they wrote.

"We wish our brother Travis all the best in building his incredible family as he’s expecting a child this November and learning to take over his family business. We wish our brother Thomas all the best as he continues to explore music and personal growth outside of Too Close in what was a deeply tough/personal decision for him to arrive at."

"We want to make clear that there is absolutely no bad blood and we cannot stress enough how much value, commitment, creativity, and love that Travis and Thomas have added to this band and community of the last 4 years. Sometimes life must take precedence and we all must listen."

"With that said, we can now formally announce that we are in Los Angeles recording NEW music. We’ve never been more passionate about the songs we’re writing, and we’ve never been more confident in what we’re going to be sharing with you both in your headphones and live on stage."

"The best is yet to come for this band and community. Stay tuned."

The band released a trio of songs through late 2017 into 2018.

First, 'Leave You Lonely':
