Great post! My husband went into business for himself last year and we're dealing with all of the tax issues related to that. He thinks that he probably won't be able to make it work, and it'll be solely because of the taxes. Sad, really. How many people never even try to start businesses because of the utter ridiculousness of the taxes involved? Way to be stagnant, Italy! .-= Karen´s last blog ..Diversion =-.

I know, and I barely scratched the surface. It helps explain the lack of work ethic and motivation that cripples Italian business.

Great article! As a jazz singer, I have to give the companies who hire my band a fattura with our fee + IVA. It's incredible how much money goes to taxes wihout getting much in return. If you look at the taxes in Switzerland and all the services they enjoy, you realize how far money can go. It makes you wonder whose pockets all those taxes are really going into. .-= Glenys' Rome & Beyond´s last blog ..The French Riviera’s Chic Cities: Saint-Tropez, Cannes, Nice & Monte Carlo =-.
