They come in Mahogany Cases in very good condition. The gauges are in pristine condition. Both boxes have working key locks. Meyers doesn't offer this set in these boxes anymore. They now have steel boxes made in China I think. No machine shop is complete without a set like this. Bought this used a few months ago, and have used it for one camping trip. Changed starter battery after I bought it. Not sure of number of hours on it, but condition shows about 500-600. Runs/starts great, every time. Has 120Volt 15Amp "house" plugs as well as a 120V 30A twist-lock plug for things like trailer air conditioners. Comes with the Yamaha RV connector so you can go from the standard RV connector to the twist-lock plug. Unit has had good maintenance, and regular oil changes. This is NOT one of the bargain-basement LOUD generators from Harbor Freight/etc that will seize after part of a season. This is a high-quality, VERY quiet, long-running generator that you can sleep next to or hold a normal conversation near. New, this is a $2400 generator because of the power booster. It is intended to run 15000btu Air Conditioners, which most 3000 watt units can't because of the need for extra power when the compressor kicks in. It EASILY runs my 13500btu A/C unit, and can be run even longer than smaller generators on smaller a/c units when you put it in the self-monitoring economy mode. Beware of the many "incredible deals" on rental generators or refurbished generators. Most people treat the rental generators with absolutely no care, and they're usually poorly maintained. The refurbished generators are often leftovers from floods that have been dried out. People on EBay are especially bad about selling refurbs and rentals at surprisingly cheap costs, but they're usually in terrible condition. This is a well-maintained generator that is in great condition, and will continue to run for a very long time. If you want a quiet generator to run anything, this is the one to have.
