I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Stratford. The trip there and back was stimulating with great company and conversation (thanks to Wayne and Jan Marie from the Kopu Cluster). The hospitality shown by Rachel and her team while we there was wonderful. Such a friendly group and so relaxed considering the pressure of both the regional meeting and a cluster conference in one hit. The content was

A big thanks from the Riverside Cluster for the great hospitality and quality regional day. We enjoyed the presentations from both Bruce Hammonds and Jamie McKenzie. It is always refreshing to visit Taranake schools.
There was lots of interesting discussion in the van on the way home.

Yes, Saturday afternoon's session perhaps wasn't what we expected to be, but it put us in the position of the learner and there is something to reflect on there-how often might we expect our pupils to become involved in activites when a). they haven't the prior knowledge of the process b). the directions were oral only (don't suit all learning styles) c). the topic doesn't interest them..........
