Anyone up for some civ 5 multiplayer?

Tue, 17 Jan 2012 10:37:11 GMT

I just wanted to see if anyone would like to play some civ 5 with myself and a few of my friends. We play civ 5 as well as other games, and would like to have some more people to play with.

We have our own ventrilo server, and have been inviting people to come on and play. I invite you to check it out. :)

The Rhys and Fall of the Colonial Powers

Fri, 18 Feb 2011 07:40:53 GMT

Hej Alla,

I am just curious about something.

I still get good mileage out of the Rhye's and Fall Mod, and by far, my favorite dimension of this game lies within the scope of the Colonial Powers, England, France, Spain, Portugal and the Netherlands.

So I am curious if anyone out there who has an interest in Rhye's might be interested in a little competition involving playing sequentially through all of the Colonial Powers scenarios and see who fares the best.

Just doing my part to give a little spark to this rather unused part of the forums! :D

The Rhysing Sun Dynasty

Sun, 07 Feb 2010 14:58:09 GMT

Let's try again shall we?

Oh, this'll be easy then, especially as it's set at Monarch and aggressive AI:w00t:

I'd like Genty to start this off if possible, then LC then me. This is to ensure everything is compatible after my little Spanish disaster.

Of course, anyone else is welcome to join in.

Let us begin. Hai.

Rhye's and Fall Dynasty

Señoras y señores, el juego comienza!

Three settlers - decisions, decisions. Guess access to the ocean would be good;)

A Rhye's and Fall (BtS) Dynasty

Fri, 23 Oct 2009 01:26:58 GMT

After visiting the Atomic Testing Museum and learning more about the Cold War, I felt somewhat inspired to revisit the Rhye's and Fall Mod, and run through some scenarios as the Russian and USA Civs.

Before I do that though, I thought I might check and see if there was any interest from anyone here doing a Dynasty game with me with one of these two Civs, similar to what Rish and I did earlier in the year with the German and Dutch empires.

Otherwise, I will go it alone.

Any interest out there for anyone who might still be playing Civ???

LC, Genty & Tones: Rhyes and Fall of Mother Russia

Tue, 01 Dec 2009 23:08:57 GMT

Alright, gents. I opted to go with Mother Russia. I've played the first 15 turns, I'll let y'all fight over the next 15. :)

UHV Points:

1. Colonize Siberia by 1700 AD
2. Establish the Apollo Program by 1950 AD
3. Never Lose a City Prior to 1950 AD.

Turn 26

1) Establish 4 townes
2) Explore the terrain

1. Turn 26- Moskva founded. A research path towards Civil Service has been initiated.

2. Turn 27- Caricyn has been founded.

3. Turn 28- A Viking Scout has been encountered to the NW of Moskva. In Moskva a common workforce has mobilized, leading to the creation of 3 worker brigades for the people of Russia.

4. Turn 29- Kiev has been founded.

5. Turn 30- Novgorod has been founded. We have discovered the eastern most boundary of a tribe calling themselves the Holy Roman Empire. Sounds Impressive, anyways.

6. Turn 31- A friendly tribal village to the far east has granted to us a warrior band for the Glory of Greater Russia!

7. Turn 32- Viking homeland has been discovered!

8. Turn 33- The Civic structure is taking a more defined role in Russian society as Serfdom and Hereditary Rule have been adopted.

15. Turn 40- Zzzzzzzzzzzz

2) Check

Alright Gentlemen. I have set us on a course to become the worlds leading scientific beacon with Libraries under construction in all of our cities. the Moskva and Caricyn libraries will soon be built. Other than that, we could use some more workforce to build up the terrain around our fledgling kingdom.

Who's next?

LC and Ness: Civ4 BtS - Utopian Dynasty IV

Sun, 09 Nov 2008 20:09:49 GMT

LC and NESS, DYNASTY IV Skill Level: EmperorWorld Size: HUGESpeed: MarathonClimate: TemperateGeography: FractalWater Level: Average CIVILIZATION: The Dutch The Turns: 1. 4000BC: We have founded the city of Utopia. We are rich in Gold, Corn, Incents, Wine, and Wheat. We will have to wait for the fruits and smells of some of these land bonuses, but compared to our last start, we are rich in resources. 2. 3985: I start our tech path towards Mining so that we may one day mass produce our gold. On a side note, I think we would do well to get an early religion in this game. 3. 3970: Our warrior explorers have found a small tribe SW of Utopia. They give us thier maps of the world. 4. 3955: 5. 3940: 6. 3925: 7. 3910: We have met an American scout. These seem pleasant enough. 8. 3895 9. 3880: Utopia builds our second Warrior unit. To make this happen as fast as it did, I worked a forested Hilly plains. I have now started building a worker. These early turns will see very little growth in our capital, but having an early worker will help exponentially in the near future. 10. 3865: We have been given more maps by local tribesmen. 11. 3850 12. 3835: Local Tribesmen 13. 3820 14. 3805: We have met a Carthagenian scout. It would appear that we have more than one competitor on our land mass. Possibly a heck of a lot more. 15. 3790 16. 3775 17. 3760: Our defending warriors have fended off a pack of lions. They are hurt in the battle and fortify to regain strength to fight another day. 18. 3745 19. 3730: With 8 turns till the discovery of mining, a local tribe gives us the secrets. A little crappy that it wasn't a different technology, but at a savings of 8 turns it is nothing to sneeze at. I start Mysticism so that we may one day master our very own religion. 20. 21. 22. 23. 3655: Our exploring Warriors have encountered a lions den. We hide in the forest and then slaughter them as they pursue us. We lost men in the millie, but the survivors come out of the battle with valuable experience. 24. 25. 3625: We have met a group of Babylonian explorers. They seem friendly enough, but we take caution. This seems to be a big world we live in, and its filling up with other groups fast. Our warriors that met the Babylonians also visit a local tribal village and discover that they actually keep prey, such as cattle and pigs, in inclosures instead of hunting them. What a novel idea. They call it Animal Husbandry. 26. 3610 27. 3595: We have met the English. Boy are we in for a dynamic political world. 28. 3580: Buddhism has been found in a distant land. I had no dreams of us discovering this first. But I was thinking about Judaism. 29. 3565: We have met the Portuguese. The world truly is full of culture. We will have to move into our most desired places fast and define our boarders before we get squeezed out into the ocean. 30. 3550: Our defending Warriors have been attacked by a pack of wolves. They easily repel the attack and are promoted to Woodsmen I Here is the entire map: And here is the area surrounding Utopia: Things are looking good, but if want success, we must play a near perfect game! Mayan Prophecy

Sun, 17 May 2009 14:55:47 GMT

Ok, here we go. After several restarts on account of bad starting locations, such as terrible surrounding terrain or close proximity to Aztecs :w00t:, I found one to my liking.

Starting Conditions (Include Tech Brokering Turned Off):

We are the Maya.

Our Starting Location:

I sacrificed the first two turns to move the settler towards the coast. We don't have any gold nearby, but if we push towards those silk plantations, there is much revenue to be found.

We have neighbours, we have encountered the Inca (Turn 20) and Greeks (Turn 23).

We've found two small tribal villages. The first, on turn 7, was hostile. This surprised me, because I've never seen a hostile village that early in the game. The second gave us a handful of gold as tribute for protection from the vile Greeks.

Our research efforts have been driven towards facilitating our Unique Unit, the Holkan, which is a rapid-response spearman that does not require copper or iron. Mission accopmlished, as we researched Hunting and Bronze Working and can now produce these fine soldiers as we please.

We are now invested in Animal Husbandry to take advantage of the wild flocks of Sheep near our capital city.

Our Capital City, Mutal has a Barracks in progress, unfinished, has completed a scout, and is now working on training a worker force.

We have a scout and warrior regiment exploring. I have marked the currently known location of a den of lions near our scout. The terrain surrounding Mutal is diverse and favourable for additional townships to develop.

I did not pursue early religion, but it has been my experience on Emperor level that Confucianism is quite attainable. Animal Husbandry will get us going on that path if we so choose to take it.

I now pass the Mayan Power Stick to the next Warrior Chief.

Sun, 26 Apr 2009 13:06:56 GMT

Welcome to the 1BC 2009 Dgame thread.

We've set ourselves a challenge and ANYONE is invited to participate. In this thread you'll view the continuing record of a Civilization game played out by successive "dictators" (all 1BC members) who are trying to beat the AI at Emperor level.

This is Montezuma (aka Onebigchoppah) of the Bigchop tribe, somewhere in the steamy lands of Rainforest World. Our task is to take turns leading this band of fierce warriors and fertile maidens to ensure their survival and victory in the undoubtably challenging years ahead.

This will not be an easy task. There are six enemy civilisations out there with random leaders, so we won't even know how they will behave when we meet them. The start position is not exactly spectacular either, but at least it's not jungle-bound. We have one settler, and one measly scout.

The enemy has significant advantages at emperor level so we shall be making the best use of our frightening Jaguar warriors that we can. I mean, you'd be frightened if you met this guy in the woods at night wouldn't you?

Anyone who wishes to "have a go" can participate. Terms will initially comprise 25 turns and you'll be expected to produce a report at the end (in this thread) detailing your achievements and post the current gamesave position which the next leader will then take up.

This is the ceremonial headdress each leader will be expected to wear; otherwise no-one will obey you. If you do well as leader (according to the tribal eldars) you will be rewarded with golden kudos. If, however, you lead us into trouble, you will become a favoured ornament for the altar...

A Lighthearted 1BC D-Game

Fri, 05 Dec 2008 08:37:19 GMT

A suggestion was made elsewhere (ahem) that now might be a good time to start a new, non-serious D-game on this site.

For those unfamiliar with the concept, it involves playing an actual game of CIV against the AI with all the decisions being made by an elected body of 1BC members with a President, King or Dictator actually playing the turns and reporting back progress, hopefully with pretty pictures and wit and not losing our warriors to a bunch of stupid lions.

Hand in hand with this (usually) goes a motley collection of off-game roleplaying laugh-a-minute reparteé and general silliness which some of us find amusing, especially when drunk (sorry psweet but, hey, you might be 21 by now!)

The problem in the past is that the D-game itself has become too serious/boring/easy and it has ground to a halt but I like Scipio's idea of a lighthearted, even weird game. This might involve playing a mod, or really mucking about with the settings.

If you are interested in becoming an all-powerful Dictator who rules the world with an Iron Fist and can throw fellow 1BC members in the dungeon with a mere nod, then put your hand up and post your megalomanical ideas here.

If this does take off, I think we may even see the return of Mr Fluffy and the 13th Axe, and Scip gets to have even more wives;)

Civ IV Internet Game Time Out when trying to connect

Thu, 29 Jan 2009 19:17:28 GMT

My Friend and I tried to play our first game over the internet.

He created a game, I tried to join. It timed out.

I created a game, he tried to connect. It timed out.

We both tried to connect to someone else's game and we could connect. Are we doing something wrong when creating the game? Do we need port forward or something?

howto resume saved multiplayer games

Tue, 03 Jun 2008 15:20:16 GMT

i play the multiplayer option with my wife using a simple 10/100 home network. it works fine. the question i have is how do we save the game when we need a break in order to resume it later. it appears that we can only play a game through to completion instead of saving and resuming at our convenience.

any assistance would be great.

Soooo I'm actually serious this time

Thu, 22 Jan 2009 15:32:52 GMT

Barring any unforeseen anomalies (such as my mother taking the internet down again...just because I live at home doesn't mean I don't except some quality of service from the landlords!...err nevermind), I will be able to play a pbem with anyone willing to stick it out.

I don't have many preferences, just keep it small, perhaps 2-4 human plays plus some AI. It can be either allied or free-for-all, doesn't matter to me. My specs are such that I have to keep the graphics to about medium, just fyi. HOWEVER, I do only own warlords patched to 2.whatever, so that's what I can play.

LC and Rish: The Dutch Empire, Incorporated

Sun, 09 Nov 2008 18:35:16 GMT

On account of several factors, including mismanagement, and a failure of the citizenry of the German Empire to appreciate the greatness of their situation, the Reich has collapsed. But that is not the end of the story, for out of the ashes of the German Reich come the Dutch Empire and all her Trading Companies.[IMG][/IMG] Our Fearless LeaderUHV Points:1. By the Civilization with the most revealed territory on your map at 1600 AD. 2. By the first Civilization to found a city in Australia. 3. Secure or get by trade seven sources of Spices by 1775 AD. 920 AD We are surrounded by tribal nations callin them selves, the French, British, Vikings, and Germans. We do not have much land to work with, but we will make the most of it. [IMG][/IMG]Our Starting LocationGoals: 1) Establish the Dutch metropole. 2) Explore, expand our knowledge of the known world. 3) Set a course for development of a "compass" and skills in the "optics" 1. Turn 33- the Dutch city of Amsterdam has been founded, and she is well defended. Our industrious settlers have gotten down to business in establishing the city center, as well as building a Harbor, Granary, Forge and Aqueduct. We are overseeing the instruction of training scouts, that they may soon seek out new lands and territories for the benefit of the Dutch Empire. We have also established Open Borders agreements with the Vikings. None of our other adversaries would agree to such deals. We will remember this. And finally we have initiated research to develop a compass device to facilitate steady travels across the open waters. 2. Turn 34- Christian missionaries have been welcomed with open arms in Amsterdam. Much to the chagrin of our peoples, we have adopted Christianity as official state religion. The people rebel, we descend into anarchy, but all will be well soon. 3. Turn 35- Order has been restored in the metropole, and we have met a tribal nation calling themselves the Russians. They reside east of the Germanic Holy Roman Empire. 4. Turn 36- Exploration persists. 5. Turn 37- Amsterdam Grows. Exploration persists. We meet a tribe calling themselves the Spanish. We know little about them, but their emissaries seem rather unfriendly. 6. Turn 38- Amsterdam Grows, and as such, her cultural borders expand. I am pleased to report that we have established our first Dutch colony, east of the Germanic city of Copenhagen. It sure would be nice if we could someday bridge that gap. We call the new town s'Gravenhage, also known as the exclave of The Hague. She is well endowed with the state-of-the-art infrastructure that can be found in Amsterdam, and her citizens have begun constructing walls to surround the city so that they may feel safe in in their environment. 7. Turn 39- Amsterdam grows. She also produces our first regiment of scouts. Their orders are to board ship and relocate to The Hague, where they may begin exploring eastwards. We now are set to train first class espionage agents, that we may explore the lands of our adversaries who will not grant us access otherwise. The fools. 8. Turn 40- Surprisingly, Amsterdam grows. Our scout is now in transit to The Hague, along with some of our finest Pikemen. 9. Turn 41- Yet again, Amsterdam grows. In fact, she has grown so much, as of late, that we now do not have the infrastructure necessary to accommodate our citizenry. As suc[...]

GameRanger: a new place to play Civ IV online

Fri, 14 Nov 2008 00:04:08 GMT

Hi all, just thought I'd let you know about a new multiplayer network I've created for playing Civilization IV (and Warlords, Beyond the Sword, and Colonization) online called GameRanger.

Basically, GameRanger makes it quick and easy to play your friends online.

It has full lobby support for over 500 different games and demos (including Civ IV, of course), without the hassles and headaches that usually happen with network connections (eg. routers & firewalls).

I'm really excited to be releasing it, and hope it helps boost the Civ IV community by allowing people to play that were unable to until now due to problems with opening ports, etc. The more barriers that can be removed, the more likely the community will stay strong, as new users won't be put off.

You can download it at

The Everlasting Reich: Rishubhav and Locus Dynasty (BTS, RFC)

Sun, 27 Jul 2008 14:13:12 GMT

This is a dynasty game Locus and myself have started, in the ever-amazing Rhyes and Fall mod for Beyond the Sword. We're playing the Germans starting from the 600 AD start.

Turn 1:

And we're off! First settler moved east to found Posen , and send both settlers east to found cities on the Baltic and Black seas. The army moves west to get Frankfurt to flip to us. I decided to pop a revolution early, so that by the time everything is settled the government is up and running

Turn 2: Movement

Turn 3:
Frankfurt flips, and with it comes 2 pikes and a catapult. I'd love to take Venice, but its defences are too scary right now, so the army moves NW to see if we can squat the Dutch.

Turn 4: Movement

Turn 5: Movement

Turn 6: Reval founded on the Baltic

Turn 7: Movement

Turn 8:
Laundau founded on the Black Sea. I know it seems out of the way, but it'll help us against Russia. Also, since all cities are founded I decided to go ahead and convert to Christianity

Turn 9: Holland spawns, and we prepare to send it straight back to where it came from

Turn 10: A busy turn - The Vikings decide to declare war on us. No clue why, but whatever, I ignore them for now. We finally finish Sailing and so I switch research to Civil Service, so that we can get a bit of a military edge against France. Posen finishes its Library and I tell it to make a Settler - there's a spot in Dalmatia that I want to grab. Finally, we declare war on Holland and move the army into its territory

Turn 11:
The war takes precedence, and we attack Amsterdam. It is a great battle - after some early losses we quickly take the initiative and kill all but one Dutch Pikeman. Our remaining troops regroup outside the city walls and wait for the next campaigning season.

Turn 12:
Our Axeman attacks the remaining Pikeman, kills it, and ends the short-lived Dutch civilization. The war took a sizeable chunk out of our army, but I think it was worth it, as it removed a competitor in Europe, as well as cultural competition for Frankfurt. We get a military instructor. There's no pressing need for him right now, so he's fortified in Frankfurt. Use him for whatever you want
Turns 13-15: Nothing much, just healing the army, and building the economy.

From here we have a bunch of options available to us, but seeing as ours is a militaristic UHV we should probably get warring soon. We should probably start preparing for a major war, either the conquest of Italy, France, or Russia... On to you Herr Locus!

Civ 4 Multi-player Tournament in Toronto

Fri, 10 Oct 2008 01:14:42 GMT

I'm conducting a psychology research study at York University, Toronto, to explore the personality traits among Civ 4 players. Similar studies have been done on MMORPGs (i.e. World of Warcraft) but not much attention have been given to multi-player turn-based strategy games like Civ 4. Here are the facts so far:

1. There will be a tournament held at York University (1 day event, some time early 2009)

2. You will be asked to fill out a questionnaire for the study.

If you live in or near Toronto, and is a fan of Civ 4 and would like to find out what Civ players have in common, you can support this project in a number of ways.

1. Take part in the CIV 4 TOURNAMENT DEBUT @ York University. (this may never happen again, so seize the opportunity). You don't have to be York University student. All levels of play are welcome!

2. Give me some pointers on the technical aspect of holding a multi-player tournament. I do have several questions:
a. What's the max # of players can play in one game?
b. Optimal system requirement to support multi-player.
c. Suggested length of game (sufficient for players to show their skills).

Since I recently rediscovered the charm & wonder of human opponents, I want to get a PBEM going. Who is willing to jump into the ring?

My pref settings:

4 player game (have to be willing to dedicate time @ start to sit down & get the 1st 50 or so turns turned over in a weekend. Normal pace after that)

Small Map, Pangea, normal/quick speed

No tech brokering, Ancient start.

No AI (Emperor/Immortal setting for health/happiness restraints. Since no AI, this wont matter except it will handicap everyone equally & make barbs a factor.)

Le jeu Dynasty; vive La France

Hello all,

I started a game playing France with De Gaulle as a leader.

Each player has 20 turns. Here is the players order:

Good luck to all; bonne chance!

I have yet to try an emperor difficulty setting game. I've done several monarchs and they have gotten less challenging over time and I'm ready to pick up the notch a little.

Would anyone like to play the same game? I thought I'd post one here and if anyone would like to try it with me, I'd enjoy hearing your strategies and where you're at. Perhaps this could be an epic failure and we can embarass ourselves by posting a losing game here. :P

I picked Darius of Persia. I wanted a civ with the potential for big income to make up for the bigger research costs on Emperor difficulty setting. If you just played the 1BC Multi-Team battle, no wise-cracks on this civ choice, Omegan scums! :D

Emperor difficulty. Hemispheres. Large world. Marathon setting (yep, gonna be a long one). All victory conditions on.

If you drop a city in the starting spot, you'll get this:

Pretty nice starting location. Probably about perfect for Darius and his financial/organized traits with the river there. I plan on building hamlets all over those flood plains.

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

Informal BTS 3.13 (Bhruics) Feb GOTM

Fri, 18 Jan 2008 09:02:36 GMT

Since I've finished a couple 'practice' Prince level games now (both the Sumeria Dynasty with Leo, and the BOTM 1 at Civ Fanatics [got a cultural victory in 1975, but actually reloaded once so won't submit my score of ~14K]) I wanted to try an SP as my favorite Civ and favorite map: Alexander, Terra, Large, High Sea, Temperate, No Tech Trading (a double-edged sword), Epic speed, Permanent Alliances enabled, all victories enabled except Time. I have Bhruic's Mod installed (link in the Two-On-Two Locked Alliance thread), and this is patch 3.13. AWESOME start location.

Anybody wanna join in?

No spoilers, no reloading. I plan to take this one really slow (no binge sessions where I make stupid mistakes and wind up reloading), so the end of Feb deadline might prove to be flexible; but will definitely try to finish.

Timed out?

Sat, 05 Apr 2008 01:17:51 GMT

Ok, my friend and i tried to play each other and suddenly we could not play games with each other saying that the host was "TRimed Out." What does this mean. Quick please, I would like to play him this weekend.

Dynasty Game: The Three Musketeers

Thu, 22 Nov 2007 03:27:00 GMT

Bolan Longpants

Comedy Dave

Zigeuner (the fourth musketeer:P)

BTS3.13 Set up, random, random standard size map monarch difficulty and we received: The Romans. Our leader is named Cesar and we can make a good salad.

Quickfire BTS Dynasty Game

Mon, 17 Dec 2007 10:16:33 GMT

I'm looking for two or three like-minded souls who would like to take part in a dynasty game and who can promise:

1. they are not about to disappear off the face of the earth with no explanation.

2. they can complete 25 turns* within three days maximum, then hand on to the next player and produce a report/synopsis of events to be posted on this site.

I am proposing a BTS game with the latest patch at QUICK speed, either STANDARD or SMALL world at a reasonably challenging level (monarch?) against multiple AI opponents, playing as a random or chosen Civ; all other settings normal.

I would like this to be able to proceed over weekends as well, although the forthcoming Christmas period is obviously exceptional and will involve something of a hiatus.

Fast and furious is the name of the game, with no regrets or recriminations, but wit and fun are mandatory. I don't even mind if we lose, as long as it doesn't drag on forever.

But winning would be better.

*number of turns to be on a sliding scale decreasing with game complexity

Game of the Fortnight

Tue, 15 Jan 2008 07:10:05 GMT

Not a game of the month, but if you're bored and want this game along with me.

Americans (Washington, Charismatic and Expansive)

Prince level (Beyond the Sword, v3.13)

Shuffled map

Low sea levels

Temperate climate

Locked modified assets, no reload rerolls.

No tech can only trade what you've researched yourself.

I don't know about the viability of the map or start location, I've simply started the game myself like you would at home. I did, however, regenerate the map till I got this looked good to me.

All victories enabled, Good luck! Game ends 1/31

Prince Dynasty Game

Sat, 05 Jan 2008 09:38:41 GMT

Still have not won a Civ4 BTS 3.13 on Prince difficulty. In honesty, I was in no hurry to ramp up in difficulty too fast. I like to milk Civ for as much replayability as possible. I've finally got to the point where Noble Difficulty games have become tedious because winning seems to pretty much always be a foregone conclusion. However, I've started and failed to finish several Prince games so far, and feel it is finally time to try to make that step up.

I read guide to "Getting Your First Win on Prince" and have tried implementing it playing the Sumerians. It was quite helpful, and I did do well up to about 400 AD, but started to get into trouble with overexpansion I think. Anyway, I've had enough trial runs that I feel I'm now in range to actually win. I thought it might be more fun if 2 or 3 of us had this "First Win on Prince" experience as a Dynasty team?

Never played a Dynasty game, so not fully clear on how it works. My impression is that one guy starts it, plays 25 turns, and posts reports of what happens during those turns, then posts the saves and the next guy plays 25, and this proceeds in round fashion?

My Build:

Civilization IV "Beyond the Sword"

Civ Version: 313

Save Version: 301

Build Version: (81539)

Build Date: Fri Sep 21 2007

Mod Name: NONE

My suggestions:

1. Obviously we need at least two, but preferably three players. I think three is a good limit.

2. I would prefer if NONE of us have as yet won a random Ancient Start, "Epic" game in BTS on Prince Difficulty Level, exceptions for things like past Prince wins with mods or scenarios perhaps excepted . . .

3. 25 turns, pace of progress need not be blazing, but lets not just disappear off the face of the planet . . .

4. We play Gilgamesh, Sumeria, Prince Difficulty

5. Our opponents . . . I initially thought 6 AI all random, but then rethought that. It rubs my realist's fur the wrong way when Roosevelt is going toe-to-toe with a leader from the ancient world . . . so instead I picked out the six that are as close to being truly ANCIENT civ leaders

Hammurabi (our nemesis)

Asoka (neighbor?)

Ramesees II

Shaka (hopefully a far away tribe :w00t:)

Mansa Musa

Qin Shi Huang

6. Pangaea standard size with Natural shoreline, Temperate climate, High sea level, Normal speed, Cylindrical wrap, Standard resources

7. No Tech Brokering, New Random seed on reload, Lock modified assets

Balanced Map in multiplayer games

Wed, 26 Dec 2007 11:51:47 GMT

I chose 'balanced' as the map i wanted in two different multiplayer games and both times ended up with a Pangea type land mass in the middle of a vast ocean.

Is this a bug?

warlords pbem anybody up for it?

Sat, 15 Dec 2007 14:08:30 GMT

Hi guys I aint new here but aint been on in a while. Had a kid about a year ago and responsibilities have taken up most of my spare time. He is becoming a bit more dependent now and I can find myself able to get on the computer every now and again. So I was wondering if anybody is up for a pbem with me? The more the merrier :D

SJTR "issues" thread

Sun, 11 Nov 2007 13:52:28 GMT

Just thought it would be good to have a thread to discuss technical issues with the game/emails/absenses, etc.

Apparently my emails are taking a super long time to get to Tones and it seems to be getting worse. It's probably something that can be solved by yelling at someone but at the moment, I just don't have time. If it starts affecting my work the I'll likely need to do it anyway though so we'll see. I'll try sending the save again to Tones but I'm not sure it will get there before the other one. Frustrating, this technology stuff.
