I'm looking for a ride from San Francisco Friday AM

Tue, 25 Jul 2006 02:37:12 +0000

Until recently I was an SF resident but I now live on the East Coast and I'll be in visiting without wheels.

If you are heading down Friday morning from San Francisco I would greatly appreciate a lift.

If it is your own car I'll cover gas if it's a rental I'll contribute.

Thanks!

I need a place to lay my head

Tue, 11 Jul 2006 16:13:57 +0000

Does anyone have room at the hotel for someone to either share the room officially, or I can bring sleeping gear and make a cozy nest on the floor?

I will be there from Thursday afternoon until Sunday morning, so it's for 3 nights.

Let me know if that works for you. My number in LA is 310-455-0627.

thanks!

Adopt a canuck (or two) for pre or post-conference funtimes in SF

Fri, 07 Jul 2006 20:40:44 +0000

Hey all,

So it's Mir, volunteer coordinator, speaker and also a Canadian.

I and a videographer friend of mine named Mél will be arriving in SF on the 26th and sticking around in the bay area until August the first following the conference.

I was wondering if any SF area bloghers happened to have a guest room or a floor Mél and I could should share for the extra days book-ending the conference?

The actual nights I am talking about are the evening of the 26th and then the 29th 30th and 31st.

Of course you don't have to offer your hospitality for the duration of our vacation, if you had a one or a two night floorspace we'd happily take that.

In exchange for your kindness we'll cook you a dinner, buy you a bottle of wine or some other fancy treat - and of course teach you how to say 'about' the right way.

If you are a generous stranger to travellers you can get in touch with me at mir@flinknet.com

thank you in advance.

Need a place to crash after the conference - mon/tue

Tue, 04 Jul 2006 14:21:27 +0000

Hi,

I've just gotten a gig to live blog another fabulous conference - the National Conference of Diaglue and Deliberation. The catch is that it doesn't start until wed after blogher. So, I'm looking for a place to crash in SF for Monday and Tuesday night. (Bay area) I'm low maintenance. July 31, August 1st

May I crash somewhere for a night??

Sun, 18 Jun 2006 14:28:27 +0000

OK, I reserved my rooms for the BlogHer before I even ponied up for the conference.. but I've run into a little catch.

It looks like I should be down in San Jose Thursday evening. The Hyatt doesn't have rooms at the conference rate.. and I'm not willing to fork over $150 or more for one additional night there.

Is there anyone in or near San Jose who might be willing to put me up for a night? I'm fairly low maintainence.

Help - SF airport to BlogHer?

Mon, 24 Apr 2006 07:02:32 +0000

Hihi Bloghers all

(Excuse me if this is way premature, just let me know and I'll pop back in my box...)

I'll be arriving at SF airport from Sydney, Aust. on the Friday morning of Blogher.

Is anyone driving from that neck of the woods, and who wouldn't mind a tag-along waif?

Failing that, can anybody suggest the best way for me to get myself there from the airport. (I've never been to the U.S. before, so it's all a vast mystery.)

Cheers and thanks
Kt

People Going Solo?

Wed, 25 Jan 2006 21:21:52 +0000

Hi there. I was wondering if any folks were traveling alone to the conference and whether they wanted/needed to share rooms/rides?

Maybe this would be a good thread for people to hook up with other folks who want to share transportation or a room.
