WHO SHOULD INVESTIGATE MAJOR CONSTRUCTION IN A LIVE-IN ELDERLY -DISABLED HOME? HOW LONG SHOULD IT TAKE FOR ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECT

Wed, 21 Mar 2007 21:23:23 +0000

HOW LONG SHOULD IT TAKE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION TO INVESTIGATE A HEALTH THREAT UPON 215 FAMILIES LIVING IN A "ELDERLY/DISABLED AMERICAN RESIDENTS" ON SOCIAL SECURITY...?
fOR OVER 30 DAYS, THE BUILDING MANAGEMENT HAVE BEEN ENGAGING IN MAJOR RE-CONSTRUCTION THAT IS LEAVING OUR APARTMENTS FILED WITH MULTIPILES OF SAND-LIKE SUBSTANCES OVER OUR BEDDINGS AND OTHER FURNITURE. MANY OF THE SENIOR-CITIZENS AND DISABLED RESIDENTS ARE FORCED TO HIRE DOMESTIC ASSISTANCE FOR INDEPTH HOUSEKEEPING. THERE ARE COMPLAINTS MADE DAILY AND YET NOTHING IS DONE FOR THE MAJORITY OF THE 215 RESIDENTS. SPECIAL RESIDENTS THAT ALSO WORK FOR THE BUILDING MANAGEMENT ARE GETTING SPECIAL OPTS... WE NEED SOMEONE TO INVESTIGATE THIS PROBLEM AND OTHERSTHAT ARE CAUSING US MORE HEALTH AND LIVING PROBLEMS. IT'S WRONG. BUT, NO ONE IS COMING TO OUR RESCUE. WE LIVE OUR LIVES FREE FROM TROUBLE, STRIVING TO LEAVE EXAMPLE LIVES FOR OUR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN. EVERYDAY, YOU HEAR POLITICIANS TALKING ABOUT CARING FOR THE ELDERLY AND DISABLED AND POVERTY-STRIVEN AND THOSE WHO DID GOOD TO GET US TO THE BEAUTIFUL AMERICA WE YET HAVE TODAY, INSPITE OF THE PROBLEMS... YET, WHEN THE SHOE IS ON THE OTHER FOOT, NO POLITICS, WE, ELDERLY AND DISABLED AMERICANS ARE LEFT TO BE TRAPPLED OVER. AND, OUR HEALTH CARE IS A CONCERN ONLY FOR THOSE WHO CAN USE IT FOR SELFISH GAIN. I DON'T WANT TO BELIEVE THAT MOST OF THE PEOPLE IN HUMANITARIAN POSITIONS DON'T GIVE A 'RAT'S HAIR' ABOUT US. WHAT I REALLY WANT IS FOR YOU TO PROVE ME WRONG.
CARE FOR US. SEND AN ENVIRONMENTALIST TO CHECK OUT THE UNHEALTHY CONSTRUCTION AND LACK OF UNPOLLUTED AIR AT: ST. ANDREWS TOWERS 24 HARRISON AVENUE PANAMA CITY, FLORIDA 32401

Olympics Poll

Thu, 11 Jan 2007 05:22:50 +0000

I'm curious to know how many women are actively interested in the Olympics. Would love to hear some of your thoughts.

Do you watch the Olympics? How much, just one sport or all of the events?

What do the Olympics mean to you?

I personally am moved by the unity that these events appear to create worldwide. I also enjoy watching the competition and the sheer endurance that these athletes display. I don't find a lot of other women that are into the Olympics...I know there are some true fans out there though!

Obtaining an Interpreter for the conference

I am interested in attending the Blog Her conference but I'm wondering how to request a sign language interpreter for this?

Cussing kids? - how best to handle this situation

Wed, 22 Nov 2006 22:32:13 +0000

My sweet innocent little baby boy (6) defaced school property by writing a string of cuss words on his desk. I was actually embarrassed, to see how he used the words and believe me, that takes a lot. I have no idea where it came from. I don't speak like that in front of him and I didn't even know he knew these words much less how to write them. Besides grounding him forever and taking away privaleges (done) I have no idea how best to address this situation - any suggestions?!

Born Again Christians

Thu, 21 Sep 2006 19:10:35 +0000

Are there any born again saved Christians out there?

Stupid Question, but I ask because I am still grieving

Sun, 30 Jul 2006 07:49:57 +0000

my inability to attend.

Any chance that those of us who paid for passes but were unable to attend the conference due to health problems could still snag some of the free swag (like the nifty sixapart/blogher tote bags, etc.) that was given to conference attendees?

I think I'm just feeling sad that all that money went to waste. And even though I offered, I was unable to even GIVE my passes away, and I had a pair of them. :-(

Am I Registered?

Thu, 27 Jul 2006 06:27:18 +0000

I received a pass from a friend last week, so I never registered online (it was already closed). I have this paranoia that I will show up there to check in and nobody will know what I'm talking about. Can somebody reassure me that you have my information?

Thanks!

Stats for BlogHer 06.

Tue, 25 Jul 2006 01:47:21 +0000

Can someone tell me (or point me to information somewhere about this) how many people are coming to BlogHer this year? And how many people were at the conference last year?

Thanks!

Waiting list for day one?

Wed, 12 Jul 2006 17:21:28 +0000

Will there be a possibility of attending a day one conference if there are no-shows? I will be there Friday afternoon, it would be great to have a waiting list for last-minute openings.

Live-Casting BlogHer?

Thu, 25 May 2006 17:09:53 +0000

Hi all,
It's looking increasingly like I won't be able to attend BlogHer in person - jury is still out, but the press is predicting a no.
This has me wondering. Is there a framework for remote attendance/participation? What will it be? Will the conference be LiveCast in any way shape or form?

Thanks much,

Pam

Choose before?

Sun, 09 Apr 2006 20:15:59 +0000

About the schedule for BlogHer: is any parts of the Program running at the same time? If so: shall we choose and book which part of the programme we want to listen to before the event?

BlogHer Scandinavia

Sun, 09 Apr 2006 13:13:15 +0000

We are planning to arrange a conference for women-bloggers in Stockholm, Sweden.
Yesterday we hade the first meeting for planning this conference.
When we discussed the name for our Conference, and we want to call it BlogHer Scandinavia, because we think the name BlogHer is perfekt and we want to show that we are inspired of this BlogHer.
And we are trying to make our Conference of interrest for all Scandinavia: that is Denmark, Norway, Iceland, Finland and Sweden.
What do you think about this name - is it alright to use that name?

world outreach

Wed, 25 Jan 2006 01:38:32 +0000

I wonder about invited speakers and trying to be inclusive and look outside of the U.S. Could we especially invite some of the amazing bloggers from outside the U.S... I mean, I know that I can just write them email and say "Hey, you should take a look at this conference and try to come!" and perhaps that's best. But what about having some panels of women bloggers from other countries/languages? Connecting across countries, or something. Or invite them to participate in whatever panel fits their specialties - that would be much better.

I would particularly like to suggest:

Iria Puyosa (Venezuela, though she's in the U.S. now I think) http://rulemanes.blogsome.com/ and http://resteados.blogsome.com/ . Political blogger and blogger-about-tech. She writes for Global Voices, and studies or teaches on social networks and digital media.

Carolina Moro (Chile, http://www.lullaby-lullaby.blogspot.com/ and http://carolinamoro.blogspot.com/
Writer, film critic, journalist

Gabriela De Cicco (Argentina, http://pont_des_arts.blogspot.com/ and http://lalesbianaargentina.blogspot.com/ )
Writer; feminism and arts blogger, feminist activist

If other Blogher World contributing editors could make suggestions too, then maybe we could help the organizers do some outreach across cultures and languages.

Question on adding content

Sat, 21 Jan 2006 19:44:09 +0000

Hope this is the right place. I have a question (or a suggestions) about creating content here.

Will there be a way to save content in a draft configuration? Currently, you write it and either publish it or lose it.

Nightlife forum...?

Sat, 21 Jan 2006 02:36:47 +0000

Hi,

What is the "Nightlife forum"? Does this have to do with arranging to get together and sing "Kumbaya" at some local watering hole at Blogher 06?
