Uploading photos and videos from your cameraphone

Thu, 27 Jul 2006 07:13:36 +0000

Came across this great software for uploading and sharing photos & videos using my camera phone. Take a look at the photos/videos I took using PixSense on http://beta.pixsense.com/citygirl

All you need is a supported phone (http://beta.pixsense.com/whatis.htm) and a GPRS (internet) connection on your phone.

Great stuff! Try it out by registering on http://beta.pixsense.com and see for yourself!

SF Women's Building hookup

Thu, 15 Jun 2006 03:36:51 +0000

I was talking with some people today about feminist think tanks, and it occurred to me that BlogHer might hook up somehow with the Women's Building in San Francisco. Maybe have an event there, or a party? Or just feature it as a place that visiting BlogHers might want to go?

Connect some different frameworks of feminism, etc.

I'd also like to get Bay Area BlogHers to run some classes there with me. We could have very low-cost classes on blogging for business, education, organizations, or personal use!

Suggest including your titles

Tue, 21 Mar 2006 19:14:55 +0000

Hi,

I would suggest putting your official titles beside each of your names at the following page:

http://www.blogher.com/node/936

E.g., Elisa Camahort's BlogHer title is "President, Events & Marketing".

(Nice touch putting the photo from the Thirsty Bear event in there - it's a great shot of you three.)

Google maps

Sat, 21 Jan 2006 02:42:48 +0000

Hi - I see there's a Google maps facility loaded on the new site.

There's a slight conflict here:

- Contributing editors (and other registered users?) are asked for their zipcode, but told that this will be kept private...

BUT -

- Their location can be viewed by everyone via the Google Maps toy.

Having Google maps at this site is fun (don't get me wrong), but it does reveal where people are located. So an anonymous user could unwittingly reveal where they're blogging from if they entered their zipcode during the registration process.

I love The Beatles and tea, btw. Hope my credibility doesn't go down with that last statement...
