Amazing insight into the world of politics awaits any reader at pibgorn ... from a Demon's Nest of Sentiments written every Sunday ... Feb. 15, 2014 entry "Politicians, in word and deed, are indistinguishable from a brood of maggot, except in the sense that the maggots will not pander for campaign contributions. This demonstrates not so much verbal superiority on the part of the politicians as pride on the part of the maggots."

Homefield is Dynegy. Dynegy is Ameren. There Charging You twice for the same energy. Do you really thihk $.04 per kW is sustainable? Nor is it duplicatble. Some people in your communities are telling you what you can and cant have. Most people don't even know what they are paying. More taxes and fees are on the back end of that price. You have been dooped once again. My energy supplier is number 1 in the country and 14 world-wide!! I also received an 2 night stay in a 4 star resort just for singing up for the service. I also receive free energy every month on my bill. What does your energy company do for you??

Also does anyone remember the Velvet Freeze located on Jefferson St, up the street from the Warner Homes. My oldest sister worked there in the late fifties. I also remember the old Waugh's Mkt on SW Adams, next door to the Kroger's on the corner at Griswold St. Stores closed on Sundays then. SouthEnder

I flew economy class to Hong Kong for Christmas vacation, which is a 14 hour flight. When I got back from my trip I decided to watch "The Hobbit" not only in 3D, but on a large screen, so I choose to finally go to the Riverfront Museum. It seemed to be a mom-and-pop operation with regards to ticket sales and concessions. However, I do like that I did not have to wait in any lines and on-street parking was free at night (what you'd expect from any other theater in the area). The ticket price was around $14 since it was both a large screen and 3D. However, I didn't opt for the later showing which also including high frame rates. Well, I was very uncomfortable as the seats are a step-up from metal folding chairs. Mind you, I am perfectly capable of sitting for a 3 hour movie -- I've flown to Hong Kong several times and its 14 hours each way. However, I do not like the seating at the Riverfront Museum and will stick with going to Willow Knolls, Rave, or some other place in the future. The city of Lisle (next to Naperville) in the Chicago suburbs has an IMAX theater with the same pricing, but has far better seating, and the concessions and ticket sales are more mainstream. So, I gave it a shot, but don't care for this theater due to its poor choice of seating material.

your blogging will be missed but i know that your spirit of fairness will remain alive in your other endeavours; and while less visible, these good works will continue to bend the arc of the moral universe toward justice.

Of course the Chronicle is done: Screw you. The Chronicle is one of the best researched blogs I've ever read.
