Brazilian GP: Qualifying disappointing for Williams Martini

Sat, 11 Nov 2017 17:00:41 +0000

Qualifying for the 2017 Brazilian GP would turn out to be a somewhat disappointing session for the Williams Martini team even with one of their drivers making it into the final period. For Lance Stroll he would get out late in the first period after an engine change but would only set a time good enough for 18th. For team-mate Felipe Massa he would quite easily make it into the final period only to have to abort his first run after getting mixed up with another car and then only managing 10th on his second. A somewhat disappointing result especially in light of the fact that it is Felipe's last Brazilian GP and to start higfher on the grid would have been great for the Brazilian.

Brazilian GP: Frustrating FP3 for Williams Martini

Sat, 11 Nov 2017 14:24:33 +0000

The final practice session for the 2017 Brazilian GP would be a frustrating time for the Williams Martini team. Firstly they would have to cope with the retirement of Lance Stroll out on the track with a loss of power. He had yet to set a time prior to the failure. As for team-mate Felipe Massa his final option tyre run would be ruined when he was to come across another car that had spun forcing him to abort his lap. Felipe would finish the session in 12th. Not the results that the team would have hope for going into qualifying.

In what was a productive session for the Williams Martini team the second Friday practice session would see Felipe Massa again finish in the top ten this time being 8th. For team-mate Lance Stroll he would drop down the order a few places finishing in 14th. Hopefully the team can find some pace overnight as find those few extra tenths in order to maintian their position in the midfield.
