@Josh — I really enjoyed the summer season of Eureka. Well, except for the finale, which I still haven't watched. I'm hearing very mixed things about Heroes this season and I just never bothered to start watching it (I deleted the season premiere, unwatched). Maybe I'll catch it on Hulu, but I'm finding that I have little patience for most fiction on television these days; it might have something to do with the upcoming Presidential election (which seems to have developed several interesting fictions all its own).

I stumbled on this post a little late but let me chime in. Eureka 08 summer season is great so far. Super bummed that Reaper is a midseason Jan 09. Heroes: Origins? Gone. Heroes fall 08 awsome. Super stoked on Joss Whedon's Doll House midseason Jan 09.
I have watched all of Torchwood and would like to "diss it" wholeheartedly. I still haven't gotten around to watching the premiere, and I think I may have missed the second episode because I didn't set up the Season Pass on my TiVo. C'est la vie, I guess.
How do you know Torchwood is a poor man's BPRD if you actually haven't watched the show? You should at least watch one episode before you diss it.
Comparing the Torchwood Institute to the BPRD wasn't a "diss", it was a joke.
