Have you had any sensible response from google? At one time I couldnt comment on my own blog, but never had probs getting on to blog, well no more than usual with blogger !
Hope you get it sorted. Your blogs are a gift, but maybe with lighter weather, universe is giving you some time off - much love.

Glad you are back I was wondering where you went on Saturday. I totally agree about tv. My kids watch very little. I am shocked how much tv kids watch and people having tv in kid's room.

How annoying! I'm addicted to your blog & need my fix! As usual I agree with what you're saying. Do you believe that having a TV for the last 6 months influenced your girls' decision to go to school? Also why do you still have a TV if you have noticed the negative effects? Do you think that TV is unsuitable for young children but all right for adults? I once saw a t-shirt depicting a TV with the slogan "Weapon of mass destruction"! I thought it very apt. Our TV died two and a half years ago but I don't miss it at all. For me personally I don't feel that the very few "good" programmes actually make it worthwhile all in all, given that the vast majority of programmes are just drivel & promote a destructive, violent & self destructive culture. I just don't want that negativity in my home but each to his own.
Changing subjects, is there going to be a Mother camp this year? My friends have been asking. We would truly love there to be one.
Thank you for your honest blog. It reflects much integrity on your part & it's just so good to link up with someone who has such wholesome ideas.
Love & blessings,
Kalyani.

we made the decision when we moved house to swap our usual sized tv for a portable that fits inside a cabinet. it means it's not the focus in the room and if you close the cupboard the kids forget it's there! they used to need a daily fix of neighbours & home & away, now it's just occassional tv use. they've gone from when they got home from school watchers to almost never (they're now HE so they also don't feel the need to keep up with what everyone else is watching)

saying that we do have the occassional tv day though when they all just veg in front of the telly. i know they're not getting anything out of it, they know they're not getting anything out of it but it does happen

Thank you for reaffirming me as well as reminding me.

My husband and I have never had a television in our time together so saying no to tv at home is not an issue (just watch them turn into zombies when we see it at other people's houses though). The no tv thing was made for our benefit, the kids came later so your blog affirmed what a great thing no tv is.

I have a laptop which I generally only use when the kids are in bed.
I am guilty however of breastfeeding while at the computer and I hate to admit it had not given much thought to rays on my baby, so thanks for making a difference there.

I like to think I am intelligent, yet sometimes I wonder how I miss such obvious things at times. After reading your archives I have made the switch to cloth menstrual pads and now I have two daughters I wish to start the "red box" for each of them too.

Thanks for your blog. It was wonderful to discover as I felt like I had found a more articulate version of many of my own thoughts. You put into words much of what I know in my heart and head already but it's refreshing to read it so simply yet effectively put.

Hi Veronika,

Firstly, I love TM. I wish it were monthly. Secondly, I am now reading The Birth House and love it. Thirdly, I am still feeding my son at 18 months DESPITE everyone thinking I'm odd. My daughter self-weened at 13 months (prob due to me being pregnant)and I intend tolet Josh do the same when he is ready. And finally neither my 3 year old or 18 month ld has EVER watched the TV. I rarely watch it despite having been a TV producer for 12 years! I have now traded that in to write as I want to be a full-time mum. My children are far in advance of many of their TV watching peers when it comes to speech and vocabulary. They are inquisitive and love to use their imagination. One friend said "I can't believe you haven't discovered the telly nanny yet". When I told her I actively do let my children stare endlessly at the box she thought I was depriving them. My computer is tucked away in my attic office which is out of bounds to the children as I have so many papers lying around... filing is something I also hate! I wish I lived closer to you; I think you have a lot to teach.
Love and please continue in your excellent work,
Antje xx
