Wiring Tech
MACHINE OPERATOR-WIRE WRAPPING. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:Wiring Technician
Pay rate: $12
Agency $16.09

Assemble and install electrical metering, relaying and transforming components into medium voltage (5KV through 27KV) switchgear assemblies as well as device wiring for performing the following duties:

Using Electric and air powered tools to drill, grind, etc. in a craftsman like manner as required to fit parts together to form a final assembly.

Positions component parts according to knowledge or by reading a material list and blue prints.

Assembly includes a wiring task whereby it is necessary to stand, sit, bend and in general, assume a number of different positions throughout the day.

Wire lungs are crimped on each end of the wire and is done with manual crimpers and strippers which requires considerable hand and arm strength.

Wire looks need the be neat and wiring must be accurate.

Point to point wiring diagrams are used to install all wiring. Routing of the wire from one point to the other is as task requiring the abiltity to plan ahead to avoid rewiring.

Installs wires by the following point to point wiring diagrams.
Crimps on wire lugs to each end of the wire.
Assists in general housekeeping of work area.

EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or GED

Preferred: 1-3 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Mathmatical Skills:
Ability to add,subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Ability to use standard hand tools, electric and air powered tools, crimpers, and strippers.
Employee is regularly required to standm, walk, use hands, and frequently stoop. Regularly lift and/or move 10 lbs and occassionally up to 50 lbs.(image)

Install modular rail systems to residential staircases (indoor, outdoor)
Install and test transformer wiring and power supply.
Install carriage and seat to rail systems and complete diagnostic checks.
Troubleshoot and service any/all components of carriage/seat/rail system.
Track and maintain bar code based inventory control system for all vehicle inventory
Complete work reports for each field visit and liaise with installation and tech support department for adequate reconciliation of payments, parts and service.
Provide exemplary customer service to Acorn standards.
Perform annual service visits and completes preventive maintenance and testing on all systems.
Complete all initial and recurrent training modules to maintain authorized Acorn training standards.
Conduct sales presentation consistent with customers? needs.
Measure customer?s staircase(s) and body accurately, to ensure proper installation in accordance to Acorn?s standards.
· Work with inside sales representatives (liaisons) to keep account activities and literature up to date.

Complete all post-sales administrative activities.
Build and maintain a rapport with local mobility shops and pharmacies to generate new leads.
Customer networking coupled with the ability to produce referrals through proper customer follow up.
Must be able to work a minimum of two Saturday?s a month.
