Katekyo Hitman Reborn!

Reborn!, known in Japan as Katekyō Hitman Reborn! is Japanese manga written and illustrated by Akira Amano. Reborn! has become one of the best-selling Weekly Shōnen Jump manga with several of its volumes becoming top-sellers in Japan. The Reborn! story revolves around a boy named Tsunayoshi "Tsuna" Sawada, who is chosen to become the Vongola Family's boss due to him being the great-great-great-great grandson of the first Vongola boss, who had moved to Japan from Italy during his time. He is told by Reborn that he will become the tenth (Italian decimo) Vongola boss. Also, the other candidates for the position of the head of the Vongola Family have died. For these reasons, Tsuna is the only remaining heir. The current Vongola boss (Timoteo a.k.a. "Vongola IX",) thus sends his most trusted member, the titular character and infant hitman, Reborn, to train the future boss. Tsuna then unwillingly undergoes training from Reborn. Reborn's main method of teaching Tsuna is the "Dying Will Bullet", which will make the person be "reborn" with a stronger self intent on fulfilling his dying will. Through his experiences, the initially clumsy and underachieving Tsuna unconsciously becomes stronger and more confident, which ultimately makes him better suited as the Vongola Family's boss despite continuing to reject his Mafia inheritance. Tsuna gradually becomes a more confident person and leader, while Reborn slowly recruits members into Tsuna's own Mafia family, which mostly includes Tsuna's schoolmates. Tsuna goes through many predicaments in his progress of becoming the Vongola boss including fighting against escaped Mafia convicts posing as Kokuyo Junior High students. Though they encounter new allies in the form of other hitmen and mafiosi, they also attract attention from those who want to annihilate the future boss of the Vongola Family. The Varia, Vongola assassin squad, claim the right for their boss, Xanxus to be the true Vongola boss, and start a competition to decide it. To defeat the Varia, Reborn recruits most of Tsuna's schoolmates to become the Vongola guardians: Hayato Gokudera, a dynamite expert who wishes to be his right-hand man, Takeshi Yamamoto, a baseball player who thinks the Mafia is a game, Ryohei Sasagawa, the energetic captain of the school boxing club, and Kyoya Hibari, the deadly head prefect. Lambo, a weak infant assassin who came to kill Reborn, and Chrome Dokuro, a girl who has a mental and physical link with the criminal Mukuro Rokudo, joins them as well. When the story later shifts into an alternate future, nine years and ten months later, in which some of the characters are transported into, they have to adapt to a world where every Vongola member, as well as their allies, is being hunted down by a powerful rival family of that era, the Millefiore. They also find that all the Arcobaleno are dead except for Reborn from the past. As Tsuna and the Vongola Guardians from his time fight the Millefiore they learn that Shoichi Irie, a comrade of Tsuna's future self, was the one who sent them to the future as the future Tsuna said they were the only ones who can defeat the Millefiore leader Byakuran. It is later revealed that Byakuran has gained knowledge from parallel worlds and that he wants to obtain all the Mafia rings in order to obtain a power similar to omniscience. After defeating Byakuran, Tsuna and company return to the present where they learn that Tsuna is to undergo the inheritance ceremony to officially become the 10th boss of the Vongola Family. However, the ceremony is attacked by the Shimon Family, who have sworn revenge on Vongola Primo for supposedly betraying the first Shimon boss. Using the power of the Shimon rings, they have destroyed the Vongola Rings, left Yamamoto hospitalised and kidnapped Chrome. However, a man named Talbot reconstructs the Vongola Rings into the Vongola Gear, and Tsuna and the remaining guardians go to Shimon's hideout where they must face the Shimon family in battles with their pride on the line. In addition, whoever loses in either side will be taken away by Vindic[...]

Avatar: The Last Airbender

Avatar: The Last Airbender (also known as Avatar: The Legend of Aang) is an American animated television series that aired for three seasons on Nickelodeon and the Nicktoons Network. The series was created and produced by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, who served as executive producers along with Aaron Ehasz. Avatar is set in an Asian-influenced world of Chinese martial arts and elemental manipulation. The show drew on elements from traditional Asian (mainly Chinese, Indian and Japanese) culture and Indian religions (Hinduism and Buddhism), while blending the styles of anime and US domestic cartoons. The series follows the adventures of the main protagonist Aang and his friends, who must save the world by defeating the evil Fire Lord and ending the destructive war with the Fire Nation.Season One (Book One: Water)One hundred years before the start of the series, a 12-year-old airbender named Aang learns he is the new Avatar, the only person in his generation capable of manipulating all four elements to his will and the one tasked with maintaining peace between the Four Nations of the world. Fearful of the heavy responsibilities of being the Avatar, coupled with the coming separation from his beloved mentor Monk Gyatso (to complete his training), Aang flees from home on his animal guide, a flying bison called Appa. Caught by a fierce storm, they crash into the ocean, and Aang's protective Avatar State freezes them in a state of suspended animation inside an iceberg. Right after his disappearance, Fire Lord Sozin, realizing that according to the Avatar cycle the next Avatar will come from the Air Nomads, launches a genocidal campaign against the Air Nomads. This way he can ensure that the next Avatar will not try to foil his plots for world domination as the last one of his kind.Aang becomes unfrozen by a young water-bending girl named Katara, and her older warrior brother, Sokka after being in the iceberg for one hundred years. The three travels to the North Pole so Aang and Katara can learn waterbending. While on their journey, Aang and friends visit the Southern Air Temple, where the new Avatar has a tragic encounter, discovering that the Fire Nation has indeed wiped out every last member of the Air Nomads except for himself, and meets up with the only known remaining "winged lemur" while there, that Aang names "Momo", who joins Aang's group. The trio is constantly being pursued by Prince Zuko, the exiled son of the current Fire Lord Ozai, who can only return to the Fire Nation and reclaim his honor and throne if he captures the Avatar. Zuko travels with his uncle Iroh, a legendary Fire Nation general and older brother of Ozai.Season Two (Book Two: Earth)After leaving the North Pole, Aang finishes mastering Waterbending under the instruction of Katara, who has mastered the element faster than he has. Aang and friends travel to the Earth Kingdom city of Omashu to master Earthbending. Their initial plan is to learn under Bumi, king of the Earth Kingdom city of Omashu, but they discover that he and Omashu have been captured by the Fire Nation and Bumi is waiting for the right time to strike. Searching for a new Earthbending teacher, the group meets Toph, a blind Earthbending prodigy who becomes Aang's second teacher and teaches him, amongst other things, her unique ability to use earthbending to "see" vibrations with her feet. After discovering a hidden ancient library, the heroes discover information about an upcoming solar eclipse which would deprive the Firebenders of their bending and open to invasion, giving Aang his chance to defeat the Firelord. They struggle to reach the Earth King with this vital information, but are detoured by Appa's kidnapping. Azula, Zuko's sister, and her two friends Mai and Ty Lee chase the group as they struggle to reach Ba Sing Se, the Earth Kingdom capital. By capturing and then impersonating the Kyoshi Warriors, Azula engineers a plan to manipulate a secret group of earthbenders called the Dai Li to instigate a coup d'état that allows the Fire Nat[...]

LaMB is an animated film produced by Animax directed by Ryosuke Tei with the original script written by Carmelo S. J. Juinio. LaMB actually is the first Animax’s original anime production project based on the script submitted by a Filipino writer, Carmelo Juinio for the 6th Animax Awards in 2007. Instead of "LaMB", the original script title of this animation is "Laminated Woman: To the Sand Planet Cerra" (what a mouthful title). Although it didn’t win the Grand Prize (only regional winner), but it really impressed the judges so much that they decide to turn it into a feature length animation too. It is also the first and biggest Animax original production. It featured the French-Canadian band Simple Plan and the American band The Click Five that provided two different songs for the opening and ending themes of the movie. The film was storyboarded by Yasufumi Soejima, whose work as a 3D director can be seen in Last Exile and Gankutsuou.Basically, this story takes place in distant future in a desert planet called Cerra. One unique thing about this planet is its imprisonment system without walls. Prisoners has to go through the “Lamination” process where they will wear the cybernetic laminated skin-tight suits and then they can move around the place and do slavery job that cannot be done by machine or robots. The laminated prisoners are called LaMBs. One of the LaMBs is Eve (voice by Medicorp DJ, Petrina Kow), an ex-weapon specialist who has accidentally taken innocent lives while doing her military operation job.The story of LaMB centers around the life of the protagonist Sara Integra known as (Eve1135) Eve, who can barely speak nor make her own decisions – she being one of the many felons sealed in a "laminated" suit. The virtual slavery that is Lamination ensures that those convicted of serious crimes remain productive, if not free, members of society, making both jails and the death penalty unnecessary in a world where human ingenuity, creativity and labor continue to be precious commodities that cannot be replaced by robots or any form of “artificial” intelligence. Eve was charged with manslaughter and then sentenced to 200 years in the virtual imprisonment behind the laminated suit. It is a fate that Eve met with Dr . Jack Griswold (voice by Vanness Wu, a JVKV or F4 member), a scientist specializing in advanced botanical engineering from another planet who is such a workaholic in order to forget the tragic loss of his dead wife.Dr. Jack Griswold is another protagonist in the story. Inadvertedly, Jack gets pulled into the politics behind the system of "Lamination", and a romance with Eve.[...]

Pumpkin Scissors

Pumpkin Scissors is a manga created and authored by Ryoutarou Iwanaga. An anime adaptation of Pumpkin Scissors has been released, produced by Gonzo and AIC, which began airing on October 2, 2006 across several Japanese televisions stations and ended with the 24th episode on March 19, 2007.The main female protagonist in the story is 2nd Lieutenant Alice L. Malvin, she is the second in command and field leader of the Pumpkin Scissors. An inexperienced soldier of noble origin who graduated in the academy just before the ceasefire (the ceasefire was announced literally in the middle of the graduation ceremony for the class of officers she was in at military academy); Alice's hot-tempered and reckless demeanor tends to sometimes put her and her subordinates in danger. She has a strong sense of duty and justice and tries to live up to her family's military traditions, contrary to her father and sisters' belief that she must assume a more feminine behavior. While she is the current heir to her family, she will likely lose this position once her younger brother comes of age.Corporal Randel Oland is the main male protagonist. He is a retired soldier who joined the Pumpkin Scissors to aid in their war relief effort. He was part of the secret 901 anti-tank-trooper unit, which basically consisted of foot soldiers trained to take down enemy tanks by them. This unit, known also as the "Gespenster Jäger" (German for "Ghost Hunter") was part of the "Invisible 9". They are specially trained to ignore pain and fear in order to engage tanks and armored vehicles at point blank range. While the division was secret, all tank crews were warned to be wary of soldiers carrying a blue lantern. Despite his impressive stature (well over six feet tall), and a body riddled with scars, Randel's nature most of the time is kindhearted and ingenuous. But when he is in trouble he turns on his blue-steel lantern marked "901-ATT", and he becomes a fearless and vicious combatant. He is capable of defeating even heavily-armored foes with his 13 mm anti-tank gun, known as the "door knocker" (highly reminiscent of a Thompson Contender pistol).Due to his reckless style of combat, Randel is frequently hospitalized during the series. These hospital stays lead to a running gag about the size of the corporal's penis, and the inability of the hospital staff to get a urine container that will not break. In the story you will encounter a lot of interesting characters that will make the story much more colorful. Now that the main characters are being introduced, here comes the synopsis.Set in a region strongly resembling Western Europe, in which a catastrophic war has just ended similar to that of the two world wars that occurred in the early parts of the 20th Century, the Royal Empire and the Republic of Frost have declared a ceasefire to end the war indefinitely. The Empire is plagued by starvation, and pestilence, with former soldiers turning to thievery, banditry and others forms of crime, forming into gangs to survive the post-war period. To aid the people of the Empire in the war relief effort, the Imperial Army State Section III, also known as the Pumpkin Scissors unit, is established. The name for the group was an idea from one of its officers, the 2nd Lieutenant Alice L. Malvin, according to her, in their war relief effort they must "face the threat of corrupt people who protect themselves behind lies, power, and money like the rind of a pumpkin", and Section III must act like a pair of scissors cutting through those layers and delivering justice for the people. This is a constant message which ripples throughout the series. The units are, however, berated constantly, considered propaganda tools used by the government, and are seen as an insult to the war relief effort by many within the army as well, as the Empire's citizens. Randel Oland, a veteran soldier with a mysterious past, joins their ranks and steadily the Pumpkin Scissors unit begins to be taken more seriously as the[...]

(image) The story revolves with Tsukushi Makino, a working-class girl and the F4 (flower four), the most popular and rich children of the Eitoku Academy.

The F4 leader and son of the wealthiest, most powerful family in Japan, Domyouji Tsukasa, takes an interest in Tsukushi, because she is the only girl at Eitoku who does not fawn over him. However, his hot-headed nature and bullying ways is originally a major turn-off for Tsukushi, who has her sights set on Hanazawa Rui. Hanazawa Rui, Tsukasa's best friend, is a quiet and cold guy, but he has a soft spot for his close friend and Tsukushi's idol, the model Todou Shizuka, whom he harbored feelings for since childhood.

(image) The other two members of the F4 are Mimasaka Akira, the laid-back peacemaker of the group, and Nishikado Sōjirō, an unrepentant playboy. They both usually have at least one girlfriend at any one time; Akira prefers older women because the women of his household (his mother and two younger sisters) are quite silly. Sojiro is happy to be in casual relationships with many women, although we later discover that at one time he was in love with a childhood friend.
Over the course of the series, however, Tsukushi's feelings evolve, and she begins to appreciate the degree of change that occurred in Tsukasa once he fell in love with her. He becomes fiercely loyal to Tsukushi and believes in her beyond all doubt, and slowly gets her to see him in a different light.

This is the best love story I’ve ever seen. The series is a combination of drama, romance and comedy, also a bit of action. The mood can be slow and gentle, or intense and frightening. All characters are interesting and the music is great. The series is much like a teen soap opera. The voice acting is interesting, and the character designs are unusual. The color scheme of HYD is unusual as well. The colors are very muted and soft. There are lots of pale yellows, cream, grays, blue-gray, and browns. I think this lends the series a greater sense of reality. Anyway, if you should come across this series, I highly recommend checking it out.

Jyu-Oh-Sei (Planet of the Beast King) is a manga series created by Natsumi Itsuki. The story started at the Balkan star system, located approximately 150 light years from Earth. Thor and his twin brother, Rai found their parents murdered in their house. Unknown masked men gas the children knocking them out after witnessing the suspicious death of their parents. The two 12-year-old young twins awake to find themselves on Chimera, a secret planet used as a penal colony where day and night last 181 days each and the planet marked by extreme weather patterns. Chimera is also known as the Planet of the Beast King. Given only a beam knife and a smelly satchel, they wander together in search of civilization on the primarily plant based world. The boys are not only attacked by the planet's carnivorous plants, but also by a group of humans whom they eventually learn are the "Wildlings". After a chase, the leader of the hunters, Zagi, orders his man to back away so he can give the brothers a tour of the planet. He explained that their group contains mostly younger adults and kids who were abandoned by the Rings. In Chimera humans are divided into groups called Rings based on their skin color, these Rings are the Ochre Ring, Sun Ring, Blanc Ring and Night Ring. In order to escape this planet, one has to become a Jyu-Oh, which is the King that lords over all four tribes. The Wildlings beat Rai after he spills water, a precious commodity there. When Zagi warns Thor that Rai will hold him back and that the others will "cull" him during the next night phase, the boys leave. While trying to escape an attack from the Ochre Ring, Rai is killed by one of the plants. Thor is rescued by a woman named Tiz, who along with a man named Third, take him to the Ochre Ring. After treating his wounds, they explain the planet's politics to him. He learns that each ring is led by three people: the Top, Second, and Third, with the Top as the leader. He also learns that due to women making up only 20% of the population, they are considered extremely special, live apart from men, and are the ones who get to choose their husbands during the "Month of Joining", a request a man is generally not allowed to refuse. Despite his refusal, Tiz chooses Thor as her first husband.Tiz was originally the Second of the Sun Ring’s female clan. Immediately after meeting Thor, she takes a liking to him and tries to make him her husband, much to Thor's disappointment. Tiz even left the Sun Ring, after Thor fought with Chen and won, just to be with him.Thor and Tiz decided to form their own ring but they need at least 3 members, Third in surprise volunteer himself to be the 3rd member of the group. This guy is known only as Third as he is the third in command of Ocher Ring. He acts as a supporter of Thor when he declares that he intends to become the Beast King. This guy is very mysterious and his motive will be revealed at the last few episodes of the story which is using Thor to complete a mission given to him by his commander so that he could go to Earth. He will be very disappointed at the last part when he will discover that Earth had been destroyed 130 years ago. He will commit suicide in order to force Thor into escaping from Hecate. There are lots of exciting scene in the whole 11 episode so better watched it. There’s lot of twist in the story in Thor’s life. I feel so sorry for Tiz, especially as Thor’s immediate infatuation with Karim was quite rapid and perhaps unintentionally amusing. The whole story is great, there’s so much adventure in it but I feel not so happy with the ending. I think the ending is not complete there’s something missing in it.[...]

xxxHolic which can be pronounced as “holic”, but often pronounced phonetically “ex-ex-ex-holic” or “triple x holic”, is a seinen manga series planned and presented by Clamp. Clamp’s genres vary widely, from childish and comedic to much more dramatic and teen-rated series. The storyline of xxxHolic crosses over with that of a number of other Clamp series. The story revolves around the life of Kimihiro Watanuki a young boy with a cursed gift. He is a typical high-school student living on his own. He has the ability to see evil spirits who are magically attracted to him. The spirits are invisible to others, the only one can see them is him. Encounters with these spirits are extremely troublesome. One day, Watanuki stumbles into a shop that grants wishes, and encounters Yuko Ichihara, a beautiful mysterious woman. Yuko is a very powerful witch, mostly known for her ability to send people to other dimensions and times. She also has an ability to grant any wish in exchange for an equal cost. For a price, she offers to grant Watanuki’s wish to be rid of the spirits. The price, according to Yuko, must be of equal value and so, as payment, he temporarily becomes Yuko’s part-time employee. Yuko discovers that Watanuki is very skilled with his hands and a hard worker. When he begun working in Yuko’s shop, he discovers that in that place, nothing is what it seems.Shortly afterwards, other characters become involved with Watanuki’s position, including his love interest, Himawari Kunogi, and his rival, Shizuka Domeki. Despite Watanuki’s annoyances with Domeki, the three become increasingly close to each other. Domeki, occasionally join Watanuki in his work as per Yuko’s request. In the reason that he has the ability to rid evil spirits and is immune to most curses, mostly due to his ancestry and his upbringing in his grandfather's temple. Apart from Domeki and Himawari, Watanuki does not seem to have any friends at school. In fact, Yuko teases him about being unpopular.Watanuki’s growth and change will happened because of his experiences of meeting one person. Yuko, according to a fortune teller in Volume 2, is the one that will change Watanuki. Yamato Nadeshiko (The Wallflower)

Yamato Nadeshiko (The Wallflower) is a manga series written by Tomoko Hayakawa. Nippon Animation adapted part of the manga series into a twenty-five episode anime series. Yamato Nadeshiko is a common term used in Japan to describe the ideal beautiful woman. The story revolve around Sunako Nakahara, a girl called “ugly” by a boy, who happened to be the first and only person to whom she confessed her love because of this incident, she losses her sparks in life and change for the worst. She became reclusive and generally developed a fear of pretty boys of which she refers to as “dazzling creatures”. She became a lover of solitude, gore movies, anatomical dolls and objects that reflect the ugly side of life as she puts it. Sunako’s aunt who has a big concern to her and was the owner of a beautiful mansion ion where four very handsome students live, offers the guys free rent if they can transform niece, Sunako, into a “perfect lady” but if they fail, the rent goes triple. Due to these handsome boys confidence in knowing how to deal with women, they agree. Before anything else I would like to introduce these four handsome guys. Kyouhei Takano, the most popular of the foursome. He is very loud and bossy when it comes to his needs. He was forced to leave home because all of the mobbing and harassment by his fans were taking a toll on his family. As the story goes he will have unsorted feelings for Sunako which he demonstrates by constantly provoking her rage. Next is Takenaga Oda comes from a very wealthy family and is quite serious in nature. He is the brain and logic of the group often trying out logical strategies to make Sunako become a lady. He has a love interest in “Noi” Kasahara, but his shyness gets in the way when he wants to express his feelings. Another is Yukinojo “Yuki” Toyama, he is shy but sweet and has a very loving nature. He is the most innocent of all the characters, often crying and becoming scared when he enters Sunako’s room. Last but not the least is Ranmaru Morii, the playboy of the group. Ranmaru comes from a wealthy family and is an only son. He is very extroverted and a lover of older women. He has a very sexy nature and extremely high self esteem. Now that you know these four lovely men let’s back to the story. When the guys first meet Sunako, they begin to realize that their lovely living arrangements may soon be in jeopardy. Although the four are able to make Sunako physically attractive the difficult part is with her personality. Sunako has no intention in changing her tastes, her love for all things macabre (gruesome and horrifying content) is a difficult challenge that the boys must face. Eventually, Sunako will develop an especially mixed feelings about Kyouhei, and as the storyline progresses, their relationship becomes more solid and intimate. There’s a lot of adventure and funny moment in the story that the boys faced just to encourage Sunako to change but still they failed. The boys managed to convince Sunako’s aunt that her niece is indeed a lady befitting the mansion in which they live (and prevent the rent from skyrocketing to triple the required amount). However, in reality, Sunako has not changed considerably. In the last part of it you will see Sunako change her physical appearance in to a lovely lady and that is so exciting. The story is a combination of comedy, drama and romance which can catch viewer’s different taste. It is composed of handsome boys, which I can say that this was made intended for male audiences. The series deals with the extravagant life of a group of bishounen characters who cause nose bleeds to girls where ever they go. It’s a shojo series with lots of sparkles and flowers that can be enjoyed by guys just as much as girls. The most interesting part is mixture of horror and comedy in the plot, it’s like Sadako meet[...]

GetBackers is a manga series written by Yuya Aoki and illustrated by Rando Ayamine. The manga was adapted into an animated television series in 2002. The series tells the story of Ginji Amano and Ban Mido, a pair of super powered individuals known as the GetBackers. The duo operates a freelance repossession service, their job is to recover any lost or stolen item for a client with an “almost 100% success rate” for certain amount fee. The plot mostly revolves around their adventures, often complicated by the pair's convoluted, individual pasts and a mysterious place known as the Infinity Fortress. Ban possesses two special powers, the “Snake Bite” (his hands have a gripping power of 200kg) and the “Evil Eye” (anyone who looks into his eyes will be locked into a powerful and nightmarish hallucination). Ginji, on the other hand, has the ability to generate thousands of volts of electricity from his body. He was once the fearsome “Lightning Emperor” and the leader of a gang called The VOLTS in the Infinity Fortress. He received the title “Raitei” (literally, Lightning Emperor or Thunder Emperor) because of his ability. They have some colleague like Hevn, she is the negotiator for the Getbackers, providing them with new, often dangerous, jobs. Even more ironic is that with the GetBacker’s money luck, they often end up getting no pay for any of Hevn’s dangerous jobs. And Natsumi, she was the GetBacker’s first client in the series and because of that Paul was introduced. He is the owner of the Honky Tonk, which is where the GetBackers often loiter and build up their tab. These people share good bonding to Ban and Ginji in their adventures and fights. Also adds happiness and excitement in the story.Ban and Ginji claim a 100 percent success rate in returning lost or stolen property to its original owner. Their claims are put to the test in the series' first five episodes, as a high-school girl hires them to reclaim her precious handmade stuffed cat; a homeless man requests they rescue his daughter, who’s fallen into yakuza hands; and a wealthy businessman sends them to retrieve a stolen strongbox. The story became more intense when they encounter and fight against some equally talented freelance “transporters” who have been hired to defend the lockbox from the likes of Ginji and Ban. Among their enemies are “Dr. Jackal”, a quick-moving sadist who can manifest razor-sharp weapons out of his bare hands, and “Lady Poison”, a girl with phenomenal chemical weapons and a secret connection with Ban.Then the next episode would then mainly revolve around the Mugenjou (Infinite Castle) and the battles that Ginji and Ban went through inside it, trying to solve its puzzle and mystery while at the same time saving the friends Ginji had there. A lot of philosophy about existence would surface later.GetBackers is a lively, colorful series, with a lot of intense, graphic action and nicely animated motion, but the clear sense is that Ginji and Ban are both deeply tragic figures with a great deal of history. Ginji was once a feared gang leader, which leads to oblique flashbacks in which shadowy figures describe him as an “invincible being” and “the emperor of this limitless fortress”. Ban’s connection to Lady Poison, aka Himiko, spawned a complicated grudge that seems to stem from an even more complicated promise. Even the first meeting between Ginji and Ban is briefly hinted at in an explosive-looking scene that sets the stage for intense drama to come. This anime is a composition of action, drama, romance and comedy. Also it shows good moral value and the importance of friendship. The story has lots of twist and turn that add to its spice.[...]

Death Note

Death Note (Desu Nōto?) is a Japanese manga series created by writer Tsugumi Ohba and illustrator Takeshi Obata. The series focus on a high school student, Light Yagami, who discovers a supernatural notebook that allows him to kill anyone by writing the victim's name and picturing his face. The plot follows his attempt to create and lead a world cleansed of evil using the book, and the complex conflict between himself and those assailing him that results.Light Yagami is an extremely intelligent young man who resents the crime and corruption in the world. His life change when he discovers a mysterious notebook, known as the "Death Note", lying on the ground. This notebook has a terrifying powers that can kill or control anyone whose name was written in it. The Death Note's instructions claim that if a humans name is written within it, that person shall die.Death Notes all have rules written on the Note's first page. The basic rules are as follows:* The human whose name is written in this note shall die.* This note will not take effect unless the writer has the subject's face in their mind when writing his/her name. Therefore, people sharing the same name will not be affected.* If the cause of death is written within 40 seconds of writing the subject's name, it will happen.* If the cause of death is not specified, the subject will simply die of a heart attack.* After writing the cause of death, the details of the death should be written in the next 6 minutes and 40 seconds (400 seconds). There were additional rules written in the notebook which was done for some purpose to elaborate the story better. These rules often serve to clarify the more esoteric uses of the Death Note that the characters discover on their own. Official Death Notes contain over 40 pages of how to use it, consisting of both those written in the Notes and those shown in as eyecatchs.Light is initially skeptical of the notebook's authenticity, but after experimenting with it, Light realizes that the Death Note is real. Light realizes that L will be his greatest nemesis, and a game of psychological cat and mouse between the two begins.Light's father, Soichiro Yagami is a police officer who was assigned to lead the Kira investigation team. REC is a Japanese manga written by Q-Tarou Hanamizawa, an anime adaptation was animated by Shaft and consist of nine twelve-minute episodes in an unusual format. The anime's opening theme is "Cheer!~Makka na kimochi~" performed by Kanako Sakai, written by Hiiro Misaki, and composed and arranged by Kōhei Koyama. The anime's ending theme is "Devotion" performed by BRACE;d, and written, composed, and arranged by a.k.a.dRESS.This is the love story about a common man and a girl who has a dream to be a voice actress. The story begun with Fumihiko Matsumaru, an average salary man with no girlfriend, he is outside the movie theater waiting for his invited colleague Miss Tanaka to arrive. Suddenly his date didn't arrive and he crumples his movie tickets in frustration. As he is about to toss the tickets into a trash can, a girl approaches, and in the "voice" of the tickets, implores him to not waste them. It convinced him to used it and they watched the movie together which is Roman Holiday and take a dinner. During the movie, he notices that the girl is reading the subtitles out loud and at the dinner he find out that the girl is twenty-year-old aspiring seiyū, her name is Aka Onda. After that Matsumaru escorted Aka going home and found they live in the same neighborhood. Matsumaru goes to bed, but he can't sleep. In the darkness, he hears the sounds of sirens; there is a fire in the neighborhood. When he goes to investigate, he discovers that the girl's apartment has burned down. Having nowhere else to stay, Aka moved to Matsumaru's place, and the two had started a "more than friend but not yet lovers" relationship under the same roof while keeping this secret from their employers. After a day that Aka's apartment burn, Matsumaru's proposal about the marketing concept "Nekoki" as the mascot of the snack product called "Ha" was approved. This is a big success for him and they conduct an audition for the voice of that mascot. Furthermore, Aka is chosen to voice Nekoki. They decide to keep their live-in relationship a secret from their employers due to Aka's worries about an appearance of impropriety. She also insists they are not a couple just from having slept together once in a moment of weakness, and that she will merely be lodging with him. The series is heavily concerned with the developing dynamic of their relationship. As the story goes, there's a lot of trials in the relationship of the two. One of those is when the second proposal which is the sequence of the concept "Nekoki" for new flavor came. Matsumaru's proposal disapproved and the project goes to his co-employee. While Aka's career became brighter and brighter, she got a lot of offer and became popular. This situation gives a strong impact to Matsumaru. He felt useless being disappointed in his job and to Aka as well. However, Aka manage everything and made a right choice in life by choosing the man he really love. This anime caught my interest in the way how aggressive the character is. I didn't expect that Matsumaru and Aka is both pervert by sleeping together in one night even though they didn't know each other a lot. That seems stupid but it happens in reality somehow. I think what happen to them is a so called "one night stand", the only different is their relationship continue as a friend and further develop as a lover lately. The story is based more on real life than fantasy. I'm also fascinated on how the character was made Aka is absolutely gorgeous, sexy and hot. One thing that I learn in this anime, "that love sometimes came from nowhere and suddenly will hit your heart and will make you crazy".Here are some of my favorite scene in the anime:[...]

Then there's Yoichi, the devious, scheming quarterback whose skills on the gridiron and knowledge of football strategy is sometimes overshadowed by his fondness for shooting off powerful weapons to convince others to see things his way. Although both Ryokan and Yoichi are talented players, the Deimon Devil Bats are a woefully understaffed team, with only two full-timers and a ragtag bunch of miscellaneous athletes that Yoichi manages to blackmail to convince to play on their team on game day. Now that they have Sena on their side, the Devil Bats finally have a chance to win (if they can ever teach him how to play the game). The team initially takes part in the Spring football tournament (at the beginning of the Japanese school year) hoping to win with through the strength of their new "secret weapon". Hiruma, Kurita and Sena regroup and slowly build a real team from other misfits and students looking to define themselves, with the goal of reaching the championship. The series follows the building and growth of the Deimon Devil Bats and its members, as well as various rival teams encountered through their games and tournaments, as they all strive to achieve their goal of playing in the Christmas Bowl. Can Sena's golden legs overcome his lack of knowledge of the game of football, and can this mismatched team turn their dreams into championship reality?[...]

His life change when an unexpected incident happened, some guys bully him and used to flush him in the toilet. His head get dunked in the toilet but surprisingly he sucked into it and ends up in another world. When he reach mysterious land, he sees some people dressed in medieval costume and speaking in some weird vernacular. There he meets Adalbert von Grantz who uses some form of magic so Yuuri understands the local language. He also meets Conrad Weller and Günter von Kleist who rescue him and take him to Blood Pledge Castle, the residence of the Maoh, where he soon finds out he is the new Maoh or Demon King will rule over “Shin Makoku” (True Demonic Kingdom). He is declared the 27th Maoh of the Mazoku (Demon Race) because of the strange power that suddenly transforms him into the Maou, deliverer of justice, this form can be recognized mainly by the longer hair and demon eyes. At first encounter with Wolfram von Bielefeld at the Demon Kingdom, he ends up engaged to him due to a mishap. It is because Wolfram get angry that Yuuri has been chosen as the Maou so he makes the mistake of insulting Yuuri's mother which earns him a slap. Unfortunately there is a noble rule of a Mazoku propose a marriage, it is by slapping another noble on his/her left cheek. Actually the slap was considered as unmanly but it is explained that Yuuri slapped Wolfram because he has a beautiful face, otherwise he would have punched him. Incensed by this insult, Wolfram challenges Yuuri to a duel, which is also mistakenly accepted because of Yuuri's unfamiliarity with Mazoku custom (he picked up the knife that fell off the table). During the duel Yuuri transforms into the true Demon King for the first time, proving that he has a right to the throne. Throughout the story, Yuuri gets dragged between the two worlds at inconvenient times. He also constantly confronted with the results of even the smallest choices he makes. The series is predominantly made up of good-looking young men which lead to an assumption of being a shōjo (anime and manga written for a female audience). The series is often mistaken for such boys love because of its calm acceptance of homosexuality in the setting such as an early plot point that ends with two male characters becoming engaged, accurately the series can be called a “male harem”. Romance is not a main theme of the series, though it has a flourishing fan-community dedicated to various romantic pairings. As the series goes it reveals that it is more about justice and friendship. [...]

Inuyasha: The Castle Beyond the Looking Glass

InuYasha: The Castle Beyond the Looking Glass is the second movie of the InuYasha movie series. In this film, the character designs are virtually identical to the Rumiko Takahashi versions, from the original manga (rather than using the Yoshihito Hishinuma designs, from the TV anime). The film begins with the battle between Inuyasha and Naraku, Inuyasha's biggest enemy. Together with his colleague, they finally defeat Naraku. There is a doubt whether Naraku is truly dead, however the disappearance of Miroku's Wind Tunnel and the return of Kohaku's memories are the proof that Naraku has finally been laid to rest, also Kagura's heart is in her body again. So the gang turns their efforts to their individual concerns and try to go back to normal lives. Kagome briefly returns to her time period to catch up in school and happens to be learning about the legend of Princess Kaguya. She was a maiden from the moon, found by a bamboo cutter in the forest. As suitors proposed to her, Kaguya presented to them impossible tasks before returning to the moon. The legend was true, Kaguya is a so-called fallen angel (it is never specified if she is truly an angel, or a mere demon who thinks she is) who desires the Celestial Robe, which can make her immortal and rule the world. However, long ago Kaguya was sealed away in a mirror that seems similar to Kanna. Meanwhile, Kagura and Kanna, the two surviving incarnations of Naraku, are somewhat restless now that Naraku is dead. They come across a mirror in a hidden shrine and awaken a Celestial Maiden Kaguya, Princess of the Heavens. In exchange for freeing her, Kaguya promises to give Kagura her true heart's desire, freedom. To set the maiden free they must gather five items and drop them into the five lakes of Fuji. So Kagura and Kanna set out to recover five items that will free Kaguya from her mirror completely. The five items are the Jeweled Sprig, Crystal from the Dragon's neck, the Cloth of the Fire Rat which a half-demon wear (Inuyasha’s robe), Swallows Cowrie Shell and Stone Bowl of Buddha.Sango returned to her village to search for his brother. Kohaku has returned to Sango's village without any memory as to who he is. He was found by her sister Sango and taken to their old house. While Miroku returned to his master, Mushin, and it's presents him a task that is to be given to the surviving descendant who defeats Naraku. This is to destroy a yōkai who threatens to cast the world into eternal night, at which the first sign of the yōkai's appearance for the first time in 50 years is a full moon shining for many nights. In this movie new character were introduced his name is Akitoki Hojo and he is the ancestor of Hojo, the boy who has a huge crush on Kagome. He is a clumsy, naive but very sweet young man. He was first seen wandering through the woods as he stumbles upon Kagome, Sango, and Shippo at a hot spring. When Shippo finds out later, however, this information is used against him. He is the keeper of a celestial robe which his family has commanded him to cast into Mount Fuji, lest it fall into a demon's hands. He joins Inuyasha's group, partly because he has a bit of a crush on Kagome and partly because he is being blackmailed by Shippo for an earlier incident.Kagura and Kanna find already find the Jeweled Sprig and Crystal from the Dragon's neck and drop it in the lake. One of the remaining item is the Cloth of the Fire Rat which was the rob of Inuyasha. Pet Shop of Horrors

Pet Shop of Horrors is a Japanese horror manga created by Matsuri Akino. Madhouse produced a 4-episode OVA adaptation of various chapters of the manga. In an unusual move for an OVA series, the anime first aired as a miniseries on the TBS television network. The series focuses on the eccentric Count D, proprietor of a mysterious pet shop located in the heart of Chinatown, and the numerous patrons who visit his shop. The customer has typically under gone some sort of personnel loss, and Count D attempts to sell them an appropriate pet to fill the void. Each pet purchased from the shop comes with a contract with three major points. These points differ for each animal sold, and breaking this contract usually results in dire (and sometimes disturbing) consequences for the buyer, for which the pet shop claims no liability. Individual chapter usually introducing one or more new characters in each chapter. The detective Leon Orcot is used to tie the chapters together into an ongoing plot, usually in the form of a subplot within each chapter. Initially he suspects Count D of malicious criminal activity and using the pet shop as a front for drug trafficking. As the series progresses, he learns more about the pet shop and Count D himself, entering into a strange friendship of sorts with the Count as he works to uncover the truth. Episode 1: Daughter A rich couple has lost their only daughter, Alice. The bereaved couple comes to the shop and Count D offers to sell them a rabbit, a rabbit that looks exactly like their recently deceased daughter Alice. The couple is overjoyed and wants to takes the rabbit home. The Count has them sign a contract, explaining that 1) no one else may see Alice, 2) incense must be burned at all times, and 3) feed Alice only water and vegetables. If these terms are not kept, the shop cannot be held responsible for the consequences. The couple agrees and leave with their new “pet”, unaware the vigilant Leon is watching them. The pet brought so much happiness to the couple and entirely forgot that their daughter died. Once then, Alice begs for sweets, and ignoring their contract, the couple gives in. Their love for Alice makes them breach one of the contract's terms. A bat-winged creature (the Count's pet) informs him of the situation. The Count can only shake his head in sorrow. Meanwhile, Alice writhes in agony and to the couple's horror, her stomach explodes. The couple is overrun by bizarre creatures and the mother will have to face up to the real reasons behind her daughter's death. Their daughter (the real Alice) died because of her drug addiction, pushed over the edge by the last bit of cocaine her mother reluctantly gives her. Again, she dies because of her mother's love. A repeated mistake led to the loss of her daughter, again. Episode 2: Delicious The popular idol singer Evangeline Blue and her manager Jason Green are about to be wed on a luxury ship when Evangeline “accidentally” falls overboard, her body never to be found. The heartbroken Jason travels to Count D's to pick up a pet that Eva had supposedly ordered. His “pet” to purchase also resembles his lost love, but this time the doppelganger is in mermaid form. He was surprised that the pet turns out to be a mermaid who looks exactly like Eva. The contract for this pet instructs that no one may see her, she must be kept in clean salt water, and, most importantly, she must never go hungry. Leon thinks that Jason killed his wife and investigates further, eventually learning the truth of what happened that night. Meanwhile, Jason might just be giving new meaning to the term “sleeping with the fishes”. Episode 3:[...]

Blood+ (pronounces as Blood Plus) is a franchise based on 2000 animated film, Blood: The Last Vampire produced by Production I.G and Sony's anime production arm, Aniplex. Blood+ is the story of Chiropterans (the name of the order of biological classification that bats are in, this is the most likely reason for the vampiric creatures being called "Chiropterans" ) and Chevaliers (a vampire like creature) on how they inhabit the earth and their motives of living. It all begun so many years ago when Joel Goldsmith set up the “Zoo” near Bordeaux, France and presumably begins “Joel's Diary”. The mummy of unknown life-form named SAYA is transferred to the Zoo and is later identified as Chiropterans. Extracted from its pregnant belly are two cocoons, which react to drops of human blood. Extracted from the cocoons are two children that are human in appearance, the one is named Saya and raised as a normal human in the Zoo, and the other remains unnamed, is locked up in a tower, and is used by Joel for experimentation purposes. Experimentation on that unknown child presumably continues, with Amshel, a member of a branch family, acting as an aid to Joel. Saya ceases aging and Joel becomes aware of the special properties of her blood. A 12 year old boy named Haji is introduced to Saya to investigate her reproductive potential. Saya, upon discovery of the unknown child in the tower in 1863 she named it Diva because of its brilliant voice. She told Saya that she wants to go out of that tower, so Saya promised her that she will find a way to let her out. At Joel birthday, Saya releases Diva from the tower to sing at the birthday party. And along with Haji, they go to the cliff to find flower for Joel but unfortunately Haji falls into the cliff. Saya turn him into a Chevalier via a mouth-to-mouth transfusion of her blood in order him to survive. At the mansion Diva killed Joel and the rest of the people there. When Saya and Haji go back the mansion was burned. The descendant of Joel founded the Red Shield to pursue Diva. Saya suddenly enters 30 year period of hibernation as well as Diva. When Saya and Diva awaken, Diva got many Chevalier in different country while Saya and Haji pursue Chiropterans in Russia. Having awakened some unknown time beforehand, Saya hunts several Chiroptera at Yokota Air Force (the events of Blood: The Last Vampire). Several months later, the Vietnam War begins. Saya enters third sleep soon afterwards. Chiroptera sightings in Vietnam confirmed. The Red Shield injects Haji's blood into a hibernating Saya to cause an artificially induced awakening, resulting in her going berserk, killing Chiroptera and humans alike. Saya cuts off arms of both Haji and Carl (Diva's Chevalier). The dying original David entrusts Saya (in her fourth sleep) to George Miyagusuku. Haji, displeased by the incident, distances himself from Red Shield. Red Shield is unable to establish his whereabouts, but there are sightings of him in Hong Kong. George adopts Kai and Riku whose parents died in traffic accident. Saya awakens in her fourth sleep in Okinawa.
