@Adam: Canvas can be very "flash like". Actually my bet is on canvas, unless the video has been edited.

@Andy: Canvas can be pretty performant, but the movie did look more flash like, but who knows. More charting and data visualization would be a great thing for the web world.

Performance looks too good for Canvas or SVG, but it definitely looks interesting.
