The LIbrary of Congress does seem like such a remarkable place. The pictures you took are amazing! Thank you for sharing them; it makes me feel as if I have been there myself. It makes me want to just pack up my bags and go on a trek right there. I have always been in love with books, and I have a feeling that the Library of Congress will have tons that would be able to satisfy my craving for reading. A tour of the dome to get a view from the top would be really great, too.

The Jefferson Reading room is the thing I remember most. Beyond beautiful and exciting.

Visiting the Library of Congress is one of my most distinct childhood memories. Before we got there my dad told me it held every book in the world. When we arrived I told him I wanted to go find Clifford the Big Red Dog. In an effort to not have to look for it, he said "Someone already checked it out Son".

Thank you for the beautiful pictures! I thought to tell you that the first library I visited as a child-that I truly remember was the Library of Congress. My mother commented she knew I was destined to be a librarian because of the sparkle in my eyes and the fasination I felt-then and since for all libraries, especially The Library of Congress. How lucky you are to be there and work there around such beauty!
