Good stuff, Kim! "Out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks." I have thought of that verse so many times, especially after I've said something I shouldn't have. But by then it's too late! =(

I appreciated, too, what you said about being "real". It seems I cannot relate very well to those gals who appear to have it all together. I just can't! I think if they'd share one little tiny thing with me that they struggle with, or perhaps be more transparents in their relationships, I could relate to them better. Some are *very* hesitant to let the real "them" be shown. But if that's what God sees, who do they think they're trying to impress??

Good food for thought today! =)

Momrn2~
Isn't God ALWAYS good..and ready to lead us!!

Lately, I've been on the receiving end of some hurtful things. And time's like this are really helping me to search my heart, because it's more fun (in the flesh) to be dishing out...rather than receiving such unChristlike behavior.

God is breaking my heart....and taking me to a new level in him...so that HE...and he along...flows out of my mouth.

Thanks SO much for your post!

Um.. excuse me?! How did you know this is the exact area that God is working on my heart with?!?!

This is the verse I came across this morning in my quiet time. I wrote it on a 3x5 card and placed it in my kitchen window.

Proverbs 12:18 (NIV) Reckess words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing."

I wrote below that... Am I cutting down or healing?

Ooohh ouch... and you just added great "brain chewing" and other verses for me to meditate on and challenge my heart.

Thanks for posting this! It's just what this heart (and tongue) needed to hear today!!!!
