FreYose 200 mile run

I had a dream and I made it come true!In 2003 I thought I should run from my house to Yosemite .It took years of thinking about it. Every time I drove to Yosemite valley , I thought I want to run here.I did it in 83 hours 15 min.My amazing crew made it possible .Phil, Chuck, Gabi, Teresa and Mark .Dream big and achieve goals. My run was to celebrate 22 years of being clean & sober. Also to bring awareness on addiction and mental health .Life is amazing .[...]

Badwater Salton Sea 81 miler

Had a great run this past weekend at Sultan C 81 mile race with my friend Teresa. It's a team race where people run as a two-person team are three person team. This is not a relay, you have to run the entire race step for step with the person on your team. Our finish time was 23:36, it's in our age and4th place for two person female team
Team Beast Mode!

Don’t overload yourself with any more thinking. This is more a time of resting before action takes place. Intellectual reasoning only leads to frustration or leads you away from the direction you should be taking. As this is a re-orientation period take time to evaluate your goals, they may not be the same goals that you started with. Trust your feelings more, future success is at hand.
Glad I picked that wisdom card
Attempted Razorback 100 relentless. It lived up to its name.
It was a muddy, wet sloppy mess. The rain made it impossible to move forward the wetter it got. I was trudging through muddy streams. I slipped one to many times and tweaked my lower back. I bailed at 50 miles.
Happy to have survived that far.
Next up 3 weeks SF 100

Coldwater rumble 100

Had a great run this past weekend at CWR100.
Got a course PR for my 3rd finish there.
First female in the Sonora desert 200

51 hour birthday run!

Why run hours for age? Why not miles?
Me; because it's to easy to run 51 miles, running 51 hours is more of a challenge

Mission peak
Pacers that came out during the storm, Chris & Gabi
The party is about to get real . Fun with friends
And just like that in a blink of an eye I was done 51 hours and 138 miles later.
Happy 51st b-day to me.
I don't get older, I just get better 😊

Finally a book is in the works !

Quad Dipsea my 18th finish

I said after finishing this race the first time, 18 years ago I would never run it again.
It's funny how you forget and the years click by. And somehow I just kept running this race.
Had a good run
Finish number 18 in 6:56

TruMan PR'd his Rocky Ridge half marathon time

Life is all about the journey

Heading out on the JMT from Whitney to Yosrmite on July 6th. Hoping to go under 6 days 6 hours unsupported. That's the plan.

If you can dream it, you can do it!

Life can be so busy at times training , working , training, working .
I like giving back to the trails i run.

(image) Saturday I will do trail work in Sunol for 8 hours with my friend Phil. It's part of running 100 miles and 200 mile races. We do trail work.
We will head out after to go pace & watch at Western states 100. It's fun to be there giving back and not racing.
I enjoy those times.
I hope you all have a great summer. Next up for me the 224 mile John Muir trail. I will go unsupported and push for the record. I'm not feeling fast and haven't really trained much for it so we will see what happens the woman's unsupported record is 6 days 6 hours.
I start July 6th😳 under 7 days is always my goal

Other than that I was fine. I was first in the relentless 24 hour race 75 miles. I'll take it.

Life is awesome!!

Mini Dachshund runs a marathon 26.2 miles

Yes you read that right! My dachshund TruMan all 9 pounds of him ,ran a marathon on a gravel trail in 6:17.He ran and raised money for a Doxie named Sunshine that was abandoned in the cold and snow near a dumpster she is being helped by KARF a senior dog rescue Kentucky. She is in the hospital and has fought for her life. TruMan raised $807.00 to help with her medical bills. She is doing much better and seems to be getting better everyday. He could of run it faster but his pacer me ,was slow from running the 50k the day before and Coldwater rumble 100, 5 days before .He was so strong and never slowed down I was the one who was slow.Just because a Doxie is small does not mean they can't do epic shit. TruMan has come a long way in two years since i fostered him and adopted him. He could not walk around the block because he was afraid of the world .Now he's running wilderness trails with me.He is my inspiration , he has taught me that having short legs means nothing overcoming all obstacles is in our mind.I hope he can motivate you to get out and run. The DirtDoxie is amazing!![...]

Why? It's an excellent question. But an even better one is... Why not?

Happy Hump day!
Getting ready for Coldwater rumble 100 next weekend wooHoo.
Can I say this weather has been awesome latley 😁🐶❤️🐾

By the time we hit 50, we have learned our hardest lessons. We have found out that only a few things are really important. We have learned to take life seriously, but never ourselves.

Happy 50th b-day to me!
The best is yet to come!
Merry Christmas to all of you from me and TruMan

You can't stay in your corner of the Forest waiting for others to come to you. You have to go to them sometimes.

Look who's in January's issue in Runners world ? Life is pretty damn stink'n good! Wouldn't you agree TruMan ?

Broken toes suck!!!

I was not able to run Rio del lago 100 because last Wednesday I accidentally kicked the Corner  of my wall, in my room and broke toe 4 & 5.
My ortho doctor is awesome he has allowed me to continue to run a couple miles a day. I'm slow and can't bend my left toes i tape them but hey Im keeping my running streak alive.

I celebrated 2 years of running everyday day 730 days on Sunday.
I ran 3 miles with TruMan on my broken toes
I feel grateful and thankful even with these broken toes . It could of been worse.
I see the doctor again for another x-ray before Quad Dipsea 28 miler. I hope I'm all healed since I will be running that race for the 17th time.
Life is good😁

Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

I finished my 7th javelina 100.  It was my slowest time of 7. I finished in 28:40 I think.
But I had fun even though I struggled.
I will see how I feel mid week and decided if I will be running Rio del lago 100 Saturday. I feel trashed today , which is not normal for me.
I am grateful and thankful. Life is good. Have a great week friends.

If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day so I never have to live without you.

I guess it's been awhile since a post. Just getting ready for Javelina 100. I will be going for my 7th finish there. I was doing a short easy run Tuesday and almost fell. I ended up pulling my glute hamstring area. I've been getting laser treatment so it's doing better.
(image) Today I took Truman to parties at PetSmart and Petco.

I don't think Truman was much into it. Once we got home to run he was happy.
Ok friends send me positve vibes for Javelina 100.
You can follow me on my Facebook athlete page , twitter and Instagram. Seems like I mostly post on those outlites these days.
Happy Halloween
