The Malibu Creek State Park has a great ridge trail where I ran the 2004 Bulldog 30k, and the 2004 Malibu Creek Challenge 14m. Both times I found some of the fastest runners I have ever lagged behind!

The 2005 Deadwood Mickelson Trail Marathon was a super-fast course in a wonderful area to visit. The Badlands are definitely worth a return trip. Easily one of the most affordable travel races in the US. Deadwood, SD
