10 Future Collectible Cars To Buy And Hold Now1. Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio2. Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport3. Chevrolet Camaro ZL14. Audi TT-RS5. Porsche 718 Cayman / BoxsterFord F150 Raptor7. Chevrolet Colorado ZR28. Mazda MX-5 Miata RF9. Fiat 124 Spider Elaborazione Abarth10. Toyota 86

Wed, 22 Mar 2017 14:43:00 -0400

MSRP $72,000. As with all the cars in this gallery, the top version of the Giulia is among the 10 cars new for the 2017 model year that arelikely to become collectible, as determined by Hagerty Insurance. This is Alfa’s answer to the BMW M3 and Mercedes AMG C63 and it’s a definitive one, with graceful styling, an opulent interior, and cunning cornering abilities. It’s pricey, but is the cheapest way to drive a car that packs a Ferrari engine, in this case a bi-turbo V6 with 505 horsepower that’s good for a 3.8-second sprint to 60 mph.

MSRP: $65,450. Available in coupe and convertible versions, the venerable ‘Vette’s new track-ready Grand Sport is lighter in weight and features more slippery aerodynamics than the base Stingray, along with a host of performance-minded improvements. It's built for weekend racers and the most aggressive aficionados.

MSRP: $61,140. Added to the line for 2017, theZL1 comes ready to race with a 6.2-liter 640-hp supercharged V8 engine, among other enhancements; a six-speed manual transmission is standard for purists, with a new quick-shifting 10-speed automatic optional.

MSRP: $60,000(estimated). Audi’s TT is generally more of a sophisticated and stylish coupe than a flat-out performance car, though the new TT-RS shatters that image with an aggressive 400-horsepower five-cylinder engine under the hood that propels the car to 60 mph in under four seconds.

MSRP: $53,900-$56,000. Redesigned for 2017, this hot two seat coupe/roadster combo are arguably the best values on a Porsche dealer’s lot. Both maintain a 911-like attitude with smaller, yet more powerful, engines than with the prior generation.

MSRP: $49,520. The latest iteration of Ford’s full-size off-road pickup truck is more potent than ever with added muscle and less overall weight to drag through the Baja. Hagerty says the first-generation Raptor is “already becoming a collector favorite,” with the new model likely to follow.

MSRP: $40,995. Though it’s still cheap compared to the costliest full-size models these days, 41 grand is a lot to pay for a midsize pickup truck, but Hagerty expects the new ZR2 version of the Colorado could pay an owner back over time. It’s ready to hit the trails with an increased ride height, a wider track, off-road-ready suspension, and locking front/rear differentials.

MSRP: $31,555.This is essentially aretractable Targa-topped version of the low-slung MX-5 Miata roadster. It’s every bit as pleasurable to drive as the standard edition, but with a more rigid structure, a distinctive coupe-like design, and added exclusivity.

MSRP: $28,195. Fiat brought [...]
