Papercraft creations

Updated: 2017-11-21T15:16:05.492+00:00

It’s definitely all things Christmas in my craft room, it’s like a glitter explosion in there.  I made the foamiran hellebores using my newest Hellebore Flower Die from Whimsy Stamps along with some new leaf additions to my die cutting stash.  The stamens started life off white, but I gave them a coat of gold paint so they would tie in with the rest of the card. I dug out one of the

Jingle Bells

I really do love digging out all the Christmas embellies and papers, sparkle and bling.  So whilst I had a holy mess in my craft room last weekend I made up some more gift tags for special pressies. Ginghams and plaids are so perfect for Christmas, and I even got to use up bits and bobs from my scraps boxes.  Ugh, I’ve just spotted a glue string, need to go pull that off before I

Meowy Kitty-mas!

I really do love Crissy Armstrong’s animals, she manages to capture the innocence along with the cuteness overload.  And she’s done that in spades with this stamp set Meowy Kitty-mas from Whimsy Stamps.  I kept to traditional red and white with a touch of silver and green for today’s card. Can you say cute!?!  I coloured the image with prismacolor pencils and didn’t blend the kitty to

Forever Friends

Shabby and pink, I’m SO in my happy place!  I made the large pale pink flower and the berries and buds at the last workshop I attended in Nottingham.  We had a fabulous weekend hosted by Monika from Love to Craft and Create and taught by Ewa Constancja – so very talented! The clematis I made using my Lily Flower Die from Whimsy Stamps, and the little white flowers are from a

Today I’m showcasing the Hellebore Flower Die Set, and I went Christmassy for my project.  My bestest bud in the whole world is Christmas crazy so this one is for her

31 Nights of Halloween–Night 26

It’s been a month of Halloween fun over on the Whimsy Stamps blog. I decided not to make a card as I don’t celebrate Halloween, but my grandkids do.  So after scouring Pinterest I decided to make up a simple little bag to pop some sweeties in.  I used the Sleepy Hollow Stamp set and matching Sleepy Hollow Die set, along with the fab Haunted Halloween Digital Papers to make my little

You’re the best

Hello everyone, I'm back with another shabby chic card, using the beautiful lilac paper from the UKH Gallery Provence pad. I made some foamiran flowers and little blueberries.  The large flowers are made from the Whimsy Stamps Peony Flower Die set, the little white flowers are from  Joycrafts 6002/0068 ~ Square Flower dies and the others are made from Craft Passion dies (links below)I

Poinsettias and Hellebores

I went to the foamiran workshop organised by Monika from Love to Craft and Create and taught by Ewa Constancja last weekend.  It. Was. Fantastic!  It truly was. We made Poinsettias from dies (Tim Holtz and Craft Passions), learned how to make those sweet little berries, and made mistletoe and holly sans dies - these were all hand cut. Here's some of my efforts, and if this is what I

Country Christmas

I love Kraft, red and white together, it gives such a lovely country look to the card.  I’ve used the beautiful Snow Flurry set and Holiday Word Die set from the latest Whimsy Stamps release and kept it simple with some heat embossing, gingham ribbon and enamel dots, finished off with a couple of bells.  I cut the word dies 3 times and glued them together so they would stand a bit

Foamiran poinsettia viodeo tutorial

Here's the promised foamiran poinsettia video tutorial made using the Lily Flower Die Set from Whimsy Stamps

Memory Album

Welp, after all these years I can at last say I've made an album.  I was sent it as part of my GDT kit from Love to Craft and Create so, although an album is normally something I would totally shy away from I gave it a whirl and .... it's a lot easier than I thought it would be.  Working with a paper pad and a set of chipboard embellishments helped it ll come together so easily, I'll list all

Spectacular Foamiran Christmas Workshop in Nottingham

Whoop!  I'm booked up for the Christmas Workshop being hosted by Love to Craft & Create and taught by the amazing Ewa Constancja in Nottingham. Places are limited so if you're interested then pop across to the Love to Craft & Create Facebook page to get all the details.  I've done a few of Ewa's workshops and they truly are amazing.  I can't sing her praises highly enough, I've learned so

Christmas Memories

Each year I like to make a very special friend of mine gift tags for her presents, she loves all things Christmas so I try to go the extra mile when wrapping her gifts.  I went with a vintage theme using her favourite colours.  They were so quick and easy to make too. I kept them fairly simple, with some stamping in Distress Inks on lightly patterned paper, with gold card and

Shabby With Love

Another break from Christmas (tho’ I’ve another Christmas project on my blog on Wednesday) so it’s back to the ole shabby chic again, with the super necessary foamiran flowers lol. I’ll post the links at the bottom as I’ve been doing lately.  Think it’s easier to find everything when it’s all in one place rather than dotted all over the shop. I LOVE how the little clematis turned

One of the Christmas cards I've been working on for the latest Whimsy Stamps release featuring the fab new dies - Christmas Branches and Wonderland Word set.  I also used the Lily Flower die set to make the poinsettias. Ugh, I struggled with getting the true colour in the photographs - I tried photograping inside and out and this is about the best I could get.  White background paper and

You're wonderful!

Little Christmas Angel

A very pink and girly Christmas card featuring one of the new Whimsy Stamps releases.  I adore Crissy Armstrong's images and this newest one is so so sweet. I coloured her using copic markers. Traditional Christmas

I've used the same paper pad as the card I made last week, but this one is a very different look just by using the richer ruby toned papers from the Lemoncraft Christmas Carols paper pad. I made a poinsettia using the lily dies I designed for Whimsy Stamps and 0.6mm foamiran which I coloured with Gallery Artists Soft Oil Pastels, and used pearl stamens and a berry for the centre.  I added
