I have definitely never tried Burmese food before, but that looks tasty! I'd be right there with you on the fish sauce, though- that is some angry, nasty stuff!

Congrats on your many accomplishments!! Very exciting year for you two :) It's always a bummer when things don't pair as planned, but I'm glad the crab went well. (and I adore those K Spade plates...!) Congratulations to both of you!

Hi Jackie, That's too bad that it didn't work for you. It's definitely not supposed to be tough or dry! In fact, by the end, mine is usually so springy that it takes some careful tossing to roll out into a round pizza shape. I am not a dough expert, but I would guess that your yeast was dead - either because the temperature of your water was off at the beginning or because the yeast was old. You also may not have kneaded long enough. Working with yeast just takes a bit of practice, and I am still a novice myself. Good luck!
