I hope I'm wrong too! Although I don't think we'll have to find out, I fully expect a win tomorrow. The Wings are well aware they may have to play these guys in the first round, and I think they will treat this game like Game 1. Time to remind the Jackets who rules the Central.

John, I'm with you on the goal burst and the effect something like that would have had on Ozzie and his reputation. The mob would have been out, for sure. I'd like to see Oz trim the one borderline goal a game down to a nice round zero, but yeah, I can live with it too. If they play well tomorrow and tear up the Jackets, I hope you're right about the game setting the tone for the rest of the season. If Mason shuts them out or only allows one and Nash has another hat trick, I'm going to go ahead and hope you're wrong.

Boy was it nice have that goal burst on our side for a change. Those usually seem to go against the Wings this year. On that same thought, thank God that didn't happen to Ozzie, that would have been the end of the world I fear (in the blogosphere anyways). As you stated, Ozzie had a really strong game. He could have had the first one, but if I'm not mistaken, it grazed the post on the way in, so it was a pretty well placed shot. I can live with one borderline goal a game. I think how they play tomorrow will really set the tone for the rest of the season. The Jackets have really had their number, and another loss against them could lead to a continuation of the pattern of late for the rest of the season, not to mention if we have to play them in the playoffs, their confidence will be sky high. I think if the Wings can win this one (knocking Mason down a few notches with a big goal outburst wouldn't hurt either) it will really get them going and they will go on to beat out the Sharks in the West.
