Well said! I admire your honesty and openness. More importantly, I admire your courage. I struggle managing one relationship, as it is hard for me to open up, experience true intimacy and allow myself to be vulnerable. I can only imagine what it is like to attempt this with more than one person. Not to mention that I still struggle with insecurities and hence, jealousy at times. Reading this is truly inspiring. I appreciate that.

When I read the title it reminded me of a saying from a video game I used to play as a kid; there was a Chinese character and he would say, "I prefer to anticipate the worst, so that I am never disappointed." It's a bit silly, but I do see the value in not expecting your expectations. A reanalysis of what is really important, a good dose of patience and something to desire/strive for without taking it for granted that it is going to happen.
