Nominated for Latin Grammy!

(image) Promissa knows about waiting on God’s promise despite the circumstances. The group comprised of three sisters: Cynthia Matos-Medina, Priscilla Matos and Milca Matos has had to learn to trust in God’s word and endure all kinds of obstacles through their faith. Born in the United States and raised in the Dominican Republic they are a great example of how two cultures can be fused together. This cultural fusion is what makes their signature refreshing sound. From a very young age these three sisters have had a passion for music. read more...

It might get loud!

(image) Who hasn’t wanted to be a rock star, join a band or play electric guitar? Strummed through the fingers of The Edge, Jimmy Page and Jack White, It Might Get Loud might not affect how you play guitar, but it will change how you listen. Watch the movie trailer here.

The real deal!

What are you gonna do?

It's a Global Movement!

(image) is a global movement to inspire the world through acts of giving, because when a gift is given, whether big or small, it makes a world of difference. Person to person, community to community, country to country, you can follow the journey and share your story here. Photography by Fernando Machado.

Extreme Makeover

Last Saturday we spent some time remodeling our office in Cooper City, we actually have a contest every year in Flamingo so it was an awesome experience! Environment is one of our Ethos so we always put a lot of effort on it because we know it makes a huge impact on "how you feel" when you walk into a place. Now, this year we wanted to have a Christmas feel but also to promote the biggest series ever done in our church. So, check out my GiftRevolution desk: (image) I'll keep you posted on the contest!

Inspire the world in 25 days!

(image) This is the Biggest Series we've ever done! The cool thing is the fact that more than 10 churches are doing the same series at the same time!. so is not just a Flamingo thing... it's actually a revolution! but, what is IT? let me explain: is a global movement to inspire the world through acts of giving, because when a gift is given, whether big or small, it makes a world of difference. Person to person, community to community, country to country, you can follow the journey and share your story here.

Sky Diving?

(object) (embed) Yes, It's official! I'm gonna go Sky Diving on December 18th!!! The reason why: - It's a High Adrenaline Experience! - The view its amazing! - This is something you would tell to your grand-sons some day. - You can do it here in Miami! - If the parachute doesn't work you get a FREE TICKET to heaven! seriously...none stop. - Forget Roller Coasters, Go Sky Diving! Here's the deal:

Before your jump, you have a 15 minute class. now, walking to the airplane comes next and it may be the most intimidating part but you will see the Miami Skyline and the whole South Florida Coastline during the ride. Finally, over two miles above the ground the door opens and its time to jump! I'm taking about a 120 mph Freefall kinda experience!!! isn't it cool? You would feel like you are flying!

Check out the video above or click here to learn more about it.

So, would you do it? do you wanna join me?

My 1st Hurricane Experience!

(image) This is a picture of my first "Hurricane Experience". I used to live in Boston at that time and I came to Florida for a Worship Conference but obviously it was canceled due to the weather condition. At least I got the opportunity to hangout with my friends for a couple of days. Now, Once again, there's no Photoshop Tricks on this picture, no multiple layers, nothing but a regular picture, I promise! Hurricane Ivan was the strongest hurricane of the 2004 season. It was often dubbed as Ivan the Terrible. The cyclone formed in early September and became the ninth named storm, the sixth hurricane, and the fourth major hurricane of the year. Ivan reached Category 5 witch is the strongest possible category and it became the sixth most intense Atlantic hurricane on record.

FRC Spanish Concert

(image) Last weekend we had a Spanish Concert at FRC in two of our campuses, Hallandale Beach on Friday night and Cooper City on Saturday Night. These are the songs we did:
  • Republica de la Alegria - Ricardo Montaner
  • Me Enamora - Juanes
  • A Dios le Pido - Juanes
  • We Cry Out - Jesus Culture
  • Las Avispas - Juan Luis Guerra
  • Imagíname sin ti - Jaci Velasquez
  • Solo Tú - Alejandro Diaz
  • Color Esperanza - Diego Torres
Let me tell you, we had a Blast! I wanted to share with you some of the pics I got Click Here to see them. Enjoy!

(image) Today, while I was home checking and realizing that is not a good day to go to the pool and get tanned, I started looking thru my iPhoto Library and found this picture that was taken during the Hurricane Wilma on October 2005. Just for the record and for those who know about my Photoshop skills I gotta say there's no tricks or multiple layers on this photo, it's only one layer and the text on it, I promise! If you look at the picture carefully you'll notice.

Expolit 2008

(image) This is my Brother Gerson at Expolit 2008 with Ricardo Montaner and Dante Gebel,
Gerson had the opportunity to sing a couple of songs with his band last tuesday night before Funky and Alex Campos. The concert was awesome and they did a great job. Click here to watch the video.

Mother's Day!

It was really cool! everybody loved it and while the mariachi were singing all the children were giving presents to their moms. I'm sure it was a unforgettable moment! Happy Mother's Day!
