I was the lead creative designer for Disney’s 2013 D23 Parks and Resorts pavilion, designing both the exterior and interior of the pavilion, as well as all major signage and graphics. Exterior concept, designed to evoke Walt Disney Imagineering’s headquarters at 1401 Flower Street (click to enlarge): …and here’s how it actually turned out: Interior world […]

I designed the logo for the Imagineering Pavilion at Disney’s D23 Expo. The theme was “Carousel of Projects”, a play on the old “Carousel of Progress” attraction that used to be at Disneyland back in the 1960s. The theme of the whole thing was retro 60s, which I tried to incorporate into this logo. Here […]

An iPhone 4 for you. In picture form.gmaleticiPhone-4-illustration

Thu, 08 Jul 2010 23:10:45 +0000

I needed a high-quality photo of an iPhone 4 for some work I was doing. Sadly, searching the web produced no high-res images. So I decided to draw one in Illustrator. I eyeballed the placement of msot of the features, so I can’t vouch for 100% accuracy. Overall, it seems pretty close. Right-click and save […]

Bunchball Business Cardsgmaletic

Sat, 06 Jan 2007 06:08:23 +0000

As my first task at Bunchball, I was asked to create business cards for each employee that utilized the existing company colors and logo, with each featuring its own, unique character, selected by the employee. (Mine is the tiki.) (As the company got larger we fortunately abandoned this strategy, as it would have taken a […]

Popcorn CartgmaleticPopcorn Cart (400 pixels wide)

Mon, 04 Dec 2006 04:51:08 +0000

An Imagineer I met at Disney mentioned that his first assignment at the company was to design a popcorn cart. He shared this in an effort to make the work sound not-at-all-glamorous (it didn’t work), and it occurred to me that if I wanted to get into the theme park business, designing a popcorn cart […]
