Boat Safety Fims Proprietor and Jazz Series Curator Giga Shane offers this rendition of the lovingly worn "Polka Dots and Moon Beams" as the next entry into Boat Safety Films' Jazz Archival Series. Played on solo guitar, the chosen instrument of Shane's baccalaureate matriculation, Polka Dots sings to us through the decades, while it is briefly resuscitated for the duration of this improv. This one goes out to the late Harold "Bubba" Thurston, who generously taught the young Shane free of charge during the humid Sarasota springtime of 1998. This arrangement is derived from the one originally imparted by Bubba during meetings that year. Cast: Boat Safety Films

An experimental Time Lapse film exploring rush hour in London. Inspired by Koyaanisqatsi, the film uses time lapse photography techniques to create the visuals. A DSLR was set up to take a frame every 2 secs with a shutter speed of around 0.3 - 2 secs with an ND8 filter was used to create a motion blur which helps to increase the sense of rush and movement within the film. I did this film for my friend Buck McAllister who's family owns McAllister Towing tug boat company. I shot the film with one camera, in real time, during the towing of the Intrepid Warship back to it's dock on the West Side of Manhattan after it's refurbishment. I shot with a Panasonic HVX 200 camera with a polarizer filter and I cut and colored in Final Cut Pro using all the basic tools that come with Final Cut. Nothing fancy. Cast: Jon Kane
