the design is pretty stupid

Whoever is in charge of designing the product interface must be on crack or something, the background is pitch black and menu is placed at the bottom, I thought at first the program didn’t work correctly, but then sadly I realized the bad design is the least of its problems. The product doesn’t have the features that must be there in order to be qualified as a decent application; it looks like an experimental project to be honest. I simply cannot install this utilities, my OS is WinXP SP3. The message when trying to install this was, "Microsoft Photo Info: There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. What to do

Downloaded "Snowcraft" from this site, and i cannot even open the game because every time I do, I get a message telling me that the game needs 3Mb of virtual memory to use it. I have checked this problem out, and there is no reason why it shouldn't open. Am I missing something "very" crucial here just to play this game, or should I just forget about this all together.... I see other games that I would like to download, but if this is the problem I get with just one, will I get the same problem with others as well, as well...?
