The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency this week requested Rover Pipeline pause horizontal boring work after yet another spill of clay-based drilling slurry. The latest incident happened Nov. 16, when 200 gallons of drilling slurry spilled into the Black Fork Mohican River in Ashland County.

Loudonville library levy approved, Clear Creek passes fire levy

Voters in the Loudonville-Perrysville School District overwhelmingly supported a 0.8-mill levy for operating expenses for the Loudonville Public Library in Tuesday's election. Across the Loudonville-Perrysville school district, which doubles as a library district since the Loudonville library is defined as a school district library, 1,180 voters supported the new tax and 537 opposed it, better than a two to one margin.
