Color of the Year: Greenery

If you haven’t heard, the 2017 Color of the Year is “Greenery”! What is Color of the Year? Each year Pantone selects a color that they feel reflects the cultural attitudes and emotions of the time. Greenery is a rejuvenating color which is symbolic of new beginnings and as Pantone says, is “Nature’s neutral”!

The Color of the Year also becomes a must-have shade throughout the year for design – from fashion, to cosmetics, to interiors and exteriors. This is my favorite palette from Pantone with Greenery as the departure point:

It's a must-have color for your nails with two new beautiful wraps from Jamberry!– Glittering Greenery and Greenery Garden.

You may be wondering if two wraps is all Jamberry is going to launch for the 2017 Color of the Year. The answer is no! They will be releasing other Color of the Year – Greenery products throughout 2017!

    Which one is your favorite?

Share on TwitterNew series(or should I say, tag) for my posts.....I will be posting at least on a weekly basis an outfit that I love with accompanying Jamberry Wraps that coordinate. When possible, I will include links to where the item can be acquried.Hope you enjoy it, and without further ado, the first post! It's always wonderful when, without planning ahead of time, you find something that matches perfectly with other lovelies in your wardrobe! The dress is the Amelia from LuLaRoe. I purchased this particular one from consultant Greta Bergmann. In general, you should have several LLR consultants on your radar because they have varied inventory.Since it's winter, I've paired the dress with LLR leggings in navy. The shawl is the Rockefeller Shawl from Stephen West. It earned me a blue ribbon at the county fair in 2015! See my project notes on Ravelry. The cardigan is from Land's End. While my particular one was part of the Fall collection and is now gone, there is this cabled cardigan which is pretty close. Honestly, I've never met a Land's End cardigan that I didn't like! Like other stores, the colors vary by season, so I recommend you stock up during the seasons your 'colors' are in style. The shoes are from John Fluevog. These are the Sam, which are currently out of stock, but browse around...maybe you'll find another shoe or 4 that you'll fall in love with. My current total is 5 pair of Vogs!Which mani would you pair with it? ❤️or💙?  First, a true red, True Love. Next, playful flowers in Boulevard. On the right, Lakeside. And lastly, Sunflower.Shop all around the world in Canada? au Canada? in Australia? in New Zealand? in Mexico? here to join my FB VIP group!Which mani would you pair with it? ❤️or💙?   [...]

My thoughts on the FRINGE HOURS

Share on TwitterFeeling mom guilt???? Overtaxed by your obligations to others? Are you making time for yourself? Time to Rally! You need to read the Fringe Hours by Jessica N. TurnerI had never heard of this book until CCC mentioned it on her podcast geekygirlsknitThis book reaffirms some of what I already felt and gave me food for thought (through a Christian lens).I'm clearly not alone, as my friend Tracy recently blogged about finding margin here.I listened to the audio book on hoopla(thanks chplnj!) And bookmarked a lot!My takeaways:Just because something is a good thing, doesn't mean it's good for you at this moment in your life.Too many good things can be too much. Think about if something should be eliminated from your schedule.'Change is hard, but good in the end'Watch out when you're on the internet, simple browsing is a quick catalyst for the comparison gameDon't allow the sin of envy to come into your lives…remember that what you see isn't the 24hrs a day in someone's home - it's just a glimpseRomans 2v1Therefore you have no excuse, O man, whoever you are, when you judge another; for in passing judgment upon him you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, are doing the very same things.  Matthew 7 v1-2Judge not, that you be not judged. 2 For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and the measure you give will be the measure you get. Turn your thoughts into something positive….commend rather than condemn!'women may judge a lot of little things about each other, but that judgement is rarely remembered in the long run;'we can do more thanwe can even imageine whe just need to do it"Fear holds us captive'Self care doesn't have to be complicated to promote healing'Find opportunities to find time for you--those are the fringe hours: like lunch, late night or early morning. An easy way I practice self care is to do fits your schedule which was one of the many things that appealed to me…I do it on my own time…after kids are in bed or while they are occupied with something."'If it makes me yell at my kids, don' do it'"Sometimes you have to say NO. Oh my word, the new year is here!!!

xt-align: center;"> Happy 2017!! Thank the LORD, we get to see another day. I must admit that since 'Y2K' and the change of the millenium, it's hard to remember that it is indeed the 21st century!my future is so bright, I gotta wear shades....Do you make new year's resolutions? I stopped last year and instead chose a 'word of the year' to guide me. That word was JOY Which fell apart sometime in June, when our huge Mulberry tree fell on our house and we all subsequently had one ailment or another for the remainder of the year.June 2016 View from my kitchen window looks like a scene from TREES!I feel somewhat late to the party as everyone in the blogosphere already has revealed their WOTY. I suppose it's better to be late and fully dressed than not show up at all. I've pondered long and hard, without further ado my word of the year is: Definition of rally transitive verb1 a :  to muster for a common purpose b :  to recall to order2 a :  to arouse for action b :  to rouse from depression or weaknessintransitive verb1 :  to come together again to renew an effort2 :  to join in a common cause3 :  recover, rebound 4 :  to engage in a rallyRally(n.d.). Retrieved January 8, 2017, from Italiano: riprendersiEn français:se rependreShare on Twitter Rally is simply what I need to do. I don't want to metamorphise or transform into a swan, because I'm not an ugly duckling! I need to keep my spirit up, confront and overcome obstacles as they come and take up my crossMatthew 16:24-26The Cross and Self-Denial24 Then Jesus told his disciples, “If any man would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. 25 For whoever would save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. 26 For what will it profit a man, if he gains the whole world and forfeits his life?[a] Or what shall a man give in return for his life?[b] Footnotes:16.26 life (both times): A play on the word “life” —natural and supernatural; cf.
