Personally, this is my favorite FUs LP. Not as fast as Kill For Christ, but much better songs!

I remember certain people being bent out of shape for the lyrics, but it was all in jest.

As for the Tampa scene of the 80s -- many great bands, but lots of racism and violence. Not cool in that respect. For a real laugh at the Tampa rocket scientists of the 80s, watch the documentary, "The Scene." You can find it on You Tube.

Never mind, I just saw the Wiki post that you linked to. So some people took it seriously. That's pretty fukkin' funny. Not in the scene I grew up in (Tampa,FL). Wow, people can be some real ignint fools, even in a supposedly open minded scene as punk. rock on, thanks again....

Just out of curiosity, why did you state this record as being "controversial". Just wonderin' cuz I'm a punk product of the 80's and I don't remember anything about this LP being any more controversial than much else during the time. If anything, I'd say the follow up release is a bit more controversial as it started to hint at the suckiness that was to come from these guys during the late 80's (strictly opinion but I know I'm not alone in that thought)....Cheers and thanks for all the work you guys do on the blog (even the controversial stuff)....A&H
