I had posted what I thought to be an awesome thank you, but it seems to have disappeared. I am making these for my best friend for her birthday and this is my first time felting. Thank you for being so detailed. Now I know where to reinforce the seams and how my tension should be. Can't wait to post my finished pic's on my Ravelry page. Five stars for you!!!

I can't thank you enough for posting these videos. I have knitted all of the pieces and I was very hesitant about sewing them together since this is my first foray into felting. Your tips on tension and where to reinforce the stitching are really invaluable. Again, thank you. These are a gift for my best friend and I know she will totally love them. Can't wait to post finished pic's on my Ravelry page!!

Hi,
I have a question on sewing on the strap...does it go on with the longer angled edge up (by up i mean closer to the opening of the shoe).

Videos are great. Wished I had seen them before I taught my sister how to make them. It would have helped her a lot. I've made 7 pairs so far and it's definitely addictive. Thanks for a great pattern!
PS Used liquid latex rug backing on the soles which helps if you have smooth wood floors - Saf T Bak purchased at Hobby Lobby.

I just have to say these slippers are the best! I'm new to knitting, picked up my first knitting needles in Nov. A friend told me about Ravelry, and I found your pattern there. By Christmas I had made 5 pairs. Everyone I know whats me to make them a pair. Thanks for the update to the pattern, the marker position will help me make them match. Thanks for the videos, seaming them together was my least favorite part. Now I won't be so intimidated. I'm just finishing my 6th pair. Love them! This is an awesome pattern, and great instructions.

thank you for the videos...I have already made one pair of slippers, struggling with the seaming, but now with your help, I feel confident that the next pair will be perfectly easy! I think your patterns are just great.

lymeknitter, I just added it to the bottom of the pattern page(not sure where to link errata- I don't have a designated page right now).

I can tell you here, too. The markers will bothe be placed on the top pieces. Place the first marker at the end of row 8. Place the second marker at the end of row 32(for size 9/10) or row 34(for 5/6 and 7/8).

The new pattern should be out next week, you should be notified by Ravelry when it is available!

Any chance you could post the location of the markers for seaming in the eratta on the Ravelry page. A friend and I already have the pattern, and it would be helpful when we knit our second pair - something we will defintely do.
Thanks

How come your slipper pieces are so nice and flat? Mine curl like nobody's business and it makes them hard to sew together!
ps. my last pair, I made the tops in an oatmealy colour and the bottoms in a brown colour (thinking about showing less dirt on the bottom). Turned out fabulous!

My slippers are finished, and they are wonderful. I have been showing them off everywhere I go. I puzzled over seaming for a while, but eventually came up with the same seaming method as shown in the video. It's good to know I was spot on, and it will be very helpful to all my friends who are planning to make their own pair.

Thanks so much. I made one pair last week and knew as I was going that the seaming wasn't quite right and it is evident in the felted slippers. No problem though... I used yarns from my stash so that I could test the pattern. My next pair will be better. Thanks again... love your blog and patterns!

I'm consider myself a smart cookie, but sometimes a knitting pattern is like reading a foreign language. I'm a visual person and learn best that way. Thank you for taking the time to post these videos. A lightbulb went on nice and bright in my head and now I know I can make these beautiful slippers. I just purchased your pattern and can't wait to start my first pair.

Thank you so much for the videos! I have knitted all but one flap so far. I hope to finish that this evening and then do a little iron work before I begin piecing the slippers! YOU ARE AWESOME! I can't begin to tell you how much the videos will help me and others who are new to knitting! I hope to blog about my slippers very soon! Meylinda, you are a marvel of a teacher!

Thanks for this. I still haven't started making my slippers.... I found it impossible to source worsted weight wool in Australia so I'm waiting on some wool from Canada to arrive.

Still, it's going to be 41C here tomorrow, so I guess that isn't great knitting weather...
