"Under the skirt" there is an ordinary 25watt light bulb which gives a nice and soft light in the window. If I was going to use this design as a lamp over a table I agree that it would be lonely. In that case I think I would use some kind of wooden frame to spread out a couple of lamps.

Funny, a while ago i made two lamps for my kitchen using the Ordning colander. Because they were attached to the ceiling (with an adapter), I had to use lightbulbs with the silver top.

What about clustering about 8 of em- at random heights...almost like the "Droog" milk bottle(s) fixture.
PS: I didn't notice/"check under her skirt"....- are you using the Envir. Correct Flourescent bulb from IKEA as well?

I had the same thought on seeing those caddies on a trip to Ikea - in fact I have two of them sitting around in my basement waiting fot me to operate on them. I seem to remember encountering problems drilling through the base. Have to revisit the project to see what the problems were.
