Beautifully Champagne

Just out from ISON, the "leather trim dress". Beautifully detailed, it comes in many lovely colors.

I was in a champagne mood (now when really am I NOT in a champagne mood?). I added a matching hued hair from eXxeSs and journeyed over to the lovely and still empty building by Barnesworth Annubis.

This is a ladylike lower mid thigh skirt. Dress it up or wear it to a business meeting (glasses would be good -- you don't want too many passes).

It is a bonus post day! Woot!

With plenty of news to impart and part of it time sensitive, here is a second post for the day.

COLLABOR88 is open. That doesn't actually mean you can get in yet of course or that it won't be gray. But, thinking ahead to when you DO make it over there is obviously plenty of great things to see. From the website I gather that this month's theme is "back to business".

Out from Barnesworth Anubis, the 5th avenue shop and apartment set.

Classic for sure, it features plain rooms in the front and more homey areas in back. This IS a very flexible design. Home, shop, office, combo -- lots of roles can be played.

There are two main versions of the build. One includes a facade with apartments above. I actually like that the best but it was too imposing for my already built city *wink* so I went for the less impressive but immanently useful one story model. If you want to come visit while you are waiting to get into the venue, the photos were taken here.

My dramatic hair is a new release from Vanity Hair, Biting the Dust. Definitely sleek and modelesce, it is also slightly messy which for me adds realism.

My casual black and white set is the weekend special at SLC. This is a great value outfit, especially for newer folks or ones short on lindens. You get basic white pants, a cute summery top (both mesh) as well as matching undies (could double as a swimsuit if needed). Shoes are included. A variety of colors are available

Glass Houses

They say that people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. In the real world they would be way too busy with the Windex to have time *wink*. Luckily in our virtual world we often have spotless windows with no upkeep involved. That's true of the  "Infinity Cloud" Glass Studio from [CIRCA] on the Four Walls Hunt.

With three living areas and three skylights there are shadows galore. The 30 x 20 abode weighs in at 29 LI.

My very pretty bracelets are just one set of a large release from ::Zup:: at Cosmopolitan.

There are tons of luscious colors, but multi and solid hues. The bracelets come with both bright and no bright versions.

Falling Stars and Other End of the World Stuff

It's coming up on the shortest day of the year. This is good; it means that I can start waking up to lighter skies and save on that light bulb electricity. But this year as the change of seasons roles around, there is a calendar to watch. It reads 2012 and you know what THAT means -- why the End of the World of course.I used to live an an area that was on the cusp of Survivalists country. My town was definitely more metaphysical than get out the guns, but the impending date was talked about often even though it was many years away. So time flows; here we are -- December 2012.I am in with the positive thinkers on this. There are many things our world and leaders could rethink in my humble opinion. Starting over at least in spirit could be a good thing. Whatever your thoughts on the date or even if you don't HAVE any beliefs about the possible upcoming changes, you'll want to venture over to the End of the World Fair opening the 15th.The offerings are definitely varied with some of the vendors really getting into the mood and following the theme :D.Shown here are two of my personal favorites (don't worry there are more coming), the telescope with three poses -- one a star gazing animation -- from End of Daze Designs (main store); the shooting stars as part of a fantastic particle effect generator. The cosmic display comes with a menu of choices including Armageddon which I haven't tried yet. I am more of a meteor shower gal.  The two prim wonder hales from Fotoscope (main store). My corduroy trench coat complete with leather trim is from Kaithleen's (main store); leggings from SD Wear (main store). This cute mitten earrings set is brought to you by IMaGE Factory (main store). A necklace and lip piercing are also available. Along with regular merchandise and some newly made items for the fair (it seems so anyway) there will be specially priced offerings from the merchants. So mark your calendar for the 15th. Poses by: the telescope. [...]

On the Streets

A tough street girl look needs a fitting backdrop and so I headed off to Toxian City this morning. Unfortunately the visitor tags are gone and role play is required it seems. Hence, while I might LOOK streetwise and savvy, I hung around the entry docks for these photos.

Specials are the headliners here. The Bliensen + MaiTai - Fugen jewelry features necklace, oversized stacked bangles (not shown here) and several colors of earrings. Mix and match, wear them single or all at once depending on your style. These are available  at The Wash Cart Sale.

This new partial mesh Tracy hair from EMO-tions will be on special August 21st at My Attic. Four colors - black, snow, flames, dark red at a very special price.

My sweater and bra set is Streets Girl from PARADISIS. Back in the store with many ways to wear and lots of great accessories, it is one of my favorites. Actually a very short dress, I tucked it inside my PARADISIS Satine pants which fits my style *wink*. Stockings as well as pearl and roses jewelry (not shown) are in the pack.

The Absence of Color

I am much more of a "Make Love, Not War" kinda gal. Still I appreciate a gorgeous build and I support folks exploring their personal versions of Second Life. So when a gray camo pack from BOTHER came my way, I knew just where to head, Wolfenstein Antractic Stronghold. This post mainly features Chav, but the helmet definitely looked better on me *wink*.

If you love camo, then checking out the store's offerings will be a pleasure.

Not everything is military of course, but there is plenty in that vein. Shown here are both vest and rucksack as well as some well worn jeans.

The backpack is particularly nice with a netting layer over the camouflage cloth.

All prim items are manual mod. The backpack is sized for guys, so tiny ladies will need to do a bit of prim manipulation for fine fitting.

This was the first sim I had visited who had set their windlight and asked if you would change to it. I did. With misty lighting and snow abounding, it was an interesting shoot.

Some friendly folks tried to chat me up. I of course was deep into photography mode and didn't notice their IM until I was done shooting :D.

While this sim is action packed with shooting and such, it doesn't seem to be a role play sim. I wore my visitor tag anyway, hopefully letting them know I wasn't their for the melee.

Style Notes:

Style notes will be simple for this. All clothing and accessories are from BOTHER except for the tee which comes from funkstar. Chav's military boots are from the Mootool Hunt of last month courtesy of Aliza Karu.

Of Ravens And Boas

Most of us like playing dress up. The new LaMadame sets from !dM deviousMind definitely entice us to explore and imagine.  While the boas and corsets are the stars -- in my score card anyway -- the sets offer many options including a long skirt and a choice of pant colors.

Two boa styles are included; long and asymmetrical -- drama abounds.

Both corset and demi bra come with strategically placed tattoos. Mixing and matching possibilities are abundant.

The sets come in black, pearl, blue, gold, pink, purple and red.

This pearl necklace from MB Style no longer qualifies as a new release *smile*. It has been sitting in my newness folder languishing away the days waiting for a perfect match. The Jacqueline beads have finally found a partner. Tis a happy day.

It took a little sleuthing,  but you can find the beads here!

Fresh Air

I have been stuck in doors the last couple of days. Mother Nature is being good to the plants, but people? Not so much. Some fresh air and activity were definitely on my To Do list this morning.

I haven't been hiking in a very long while, but this adventurer backpack from BOTHER gave me inspiration. The survivalist style gear is nicely textured and manual mod. Petite gals or guys will need to do some individual prim editing, but average to large sized avatars should find it "just right" :D.

The rest of my outfit is made up of old and comfortable favorites. My hiking boots are from the [ hoorenbeek ] subscribo, the current gift.

Locale? Cap Estel.

A Mad Mad World

The world has gone mad and me along with it. Drama continues when I thought I had left it behind and some time off for reflection is in order. But as with many turns in the road, a blog post emerged with fashion and newness and fantasy.

Can you quit your job without knowing it? Apparently. That is the point of view of my former -- however they became that way -- bosses. It is important to have a personal perspective and so I have no problem with theirs.  Well, there is that thing about feeling a bit INSANE for not knowing I had ended the story myself. But that's OK as I had two great new items that may have never appeared on this blog without the impetus of a plot line *wink*.

This very cute and definitely fantasy hat is a gift from the Hair Fair. Find it at Curious Kitties booth.

My necklace is actually a teapot. Now who knew (WHO KNEW) that I would actually have a need for something so quirky!  Not I. The day is indeed full of surprises. Find it at in a variety of gemstones and with matching earrings at bewildebeest.

It would have been better had I believed I had quit--fewer harsh words, less admonitions. But sometimes we need lessons to move on and grow. So I will be working on another project for a bit. Don't worry, if you've been following this blog, you know I process quickly.

Take care of yourselves while I am on brief hiatus. Hopefully I will return with renewed vigor. Right now, though it isn't so much fun.

See you soon.

Willing Wench Wanted

This is one of those mark it on your calendars days for me. I got fired this morning. No, not a real world thing, but virtual. It was, however, the very first time I have lost any job. An exemplary service record of a few decades is now marred.  Yes, that is me smiling as I type. We learn strange lessons in our virtual world, and in part I expect that is why many of us are here. There is a story of course, but the details don't really matter. We learn; we grow; we move on. The events of my morn seasoned my choices for this post, but I was stylishly dressed as the sun rose. Newness and freeness mixes in the desert sunset. Here's the scoop. My outfit is another made from the the mix and match pieces in July's DCNY collection. My top is actually a dress that I tucked in under some cuffed capris. A very pretty pale gold, the color is called "slice".Long tresses hale from the Hair Fair, now open and are free in a pack of great ones from Calico Ingmann Creations.  This is so funny. When I featured some hair from CiC yesterday, I thought this was a new store. Well honestly I was zipping around to 100 shops at the fair and it was a busy morning. I didn't put it together until now. I had planned on venturing over to the "new shop I found and loved" today, but no need. I have been there often and some of my favorite hairs are from "CiC". So now, I have more. More is even better!Last up are these very pretty and detailed ethnic earrings from .( bewildebeest ).. Oh so pretty and big enough to make a statement even with long hair, these Kush Earrings can move smoothly between role play, boho or more modern styles. Since some really great photos (IMHO of course) won't be seeing the light of day in prime time, I am thinking I will start doing a bit more Flickr with some shots that don't fit into The Blog. That will be fun for me and who knows where it might lead. Just yesterday someone contacted me about being in a machinima film. If that comes together it will be fun, finishing a loop that began when I started teaching again in Second Life.It is all endless circles. And that brings me to the photo for the title of this post. I thought it might be fun to do a picture at an employment office -- considering how my day had started, but while perusing the classifieds I spied a job opportunity (better put that in quotes in your mind) entitled  Willing Wench Wanted.I couldn't resist checking it out. It isn't a fashion shot, but it was fun and so I am adding it at the end of my new experience day post.  Style Notes: Hair: !!CiC Angel - Chestnut (free - Hair Fair)Skin: Ramya*DOLL* DARK TAN /SMOKEDClothing: DCNY_Stretch Crochet Dress_Slice; DCNY_Wide Cuff Legging P_Slice/CrushShoes: [PM] Fae Wedge [B] - LF - KhakiAccessories: MALT  Jeans Scarf; .( bewildebeest ). Weekend Shopping

Most of us love to shop in some form or another. While the Marketplace is quick, I prefer wandering in picturesque shopping neighborhoods. Whatever your favorite method this sometimes aerobic activity takes, it is always appropriate to have a Little Black Dress (popularized by Coco Channel long ago) as a canvas. This saucy number from Jazmyn D definitely fits the bill and best of all, it is free on the soon to end Moolto Hunt. Highlights include a gored prim skirt -- we once called them "flip skirts" if I recall, shoulder pads and sculpted cuffs. If you missed how this hunt works, here is the info page.

Update: Jazmyn Diesel wrote me this morning to let me know I had found an OLD Moolto Hunt item and not the current one. She is leaving the dress out so you can still find it. You know what that means? There is another bag out there to search for *wink*.   If you have the hint for the store found in the previous prize, that may help with the new one - LOL. Happy hunting!

My very cute earrings hale from Addiction. The  Journey Set is a new release  for this weekend's Lazy Sunday event and includes two styles of medallion necklaces.

The necklaces come scripted and unscripted as well as for chest and spine (how nice). They include a black chord with silver clasp.

Click the photo for a larger, high rez version.

The set will be out after Sunday in case you are reading this as the week begins :D.

Turning Back the Clock

Yesterday I had occasion to take some portrait photos. I needed some portfolio samples for possible additional employment. Liking to keep busy, loving to take pictures -- it is a good fit for me. I am not sure if the job will materialize, but I had a fun time and some friends have new portraits for their walls.

I seldom play with all the features that my graphics program packages. I know you want to see how the clothes look, not be amazed at post processing choices *wink*. But I found a combo of a few steps that I really liked and wanted to reproduce them so I wouldn't forget.  This is Chav (me in boy disguise) in the new Saturday bargain tattoo from Para Designs.  Find both black and colored versions in three tones and all layers right near the entrance.

Not an avid shopper, I gave into the lure of ink and purchased this mostly for me, Chic. But it looks great on guys too as you can see. There are tattoos down one leg and the back is mostly bare. What I liked about this design was the flow and the finishing of the edges.

Tattoos seem to be making a return in SL fashion these days. Just like other styles, the move in and out of Flavor of the Month status. It is nice to have them back!

Here is the original photo, before effects were added.

Small Town Gal - Accessories Fair

Small town gals like to feel pretty too. Simple things work for them most of the time; home-made is a good thing, bargains even better. Such is the premise for this late night post. My cute, summery patchwork dress hales from KoketKa, a new to me store. The Julia dress comes in a variety of mixed pattern colors; happily the first one I opened worked perfectly for the accessories I had in mind.

Both shoes and purse in ecologically "green" bamboo are from Duh! and even better they are free as a prize on the Summer Breeze Hunt.

The dress itself is made for baring shoulders and reaping the full benefit of summer sunshine. Oversized prim buttons add a fun touch.

I added a little bolero top to bring the outfit into dressier territory. Why? To go with these spectacular earrings from Indyra Originals (INDY&CO) at the Accessories Fair. These are one of two limited edition RFL items at the shop. A matching necklace is also available.

Blue On Blue

SLC has a cute casual set out for Low Letter of the Week starting today. The SLC Jeans and Top Winona are available in several colors. I chose blue and you will see why as you scroll down :D.  The jeans are long and full with rolled cuffs that sag in appropriate places giving them a slightly messy, leave-me-alone-I'm-RELAXING air. The prim belt is nicely detailed and works well with the set.And here of course is why I chose the blue set; color coordination whenever possible. This great little cabana hales from Boathouse on the Sand and Sun Hunt. The house complete with bed is the prize; the matching furniture and decor items are available at a bargain price (really) for those of you that want even more cuteness. The bed which comes along with the painting in the prize pack, sits two with alternate animations available by clicking the bed. Silly me, I forgot to do that! The chairs out front have some very nice, calm sitting animations. /1a to adjust with a slightly different menu than you might be used to, but it works just fine.  I wasn't able to actually STAND in the cabana, the floor being phantom -- perhaps because of sculpties in the linked bed. But it is certainly easy enough to add a rug or an invisible prim to the floor should you want to do more than literally "hop into bed" *wink*.This is perfect for a beach or lake getaway place. So serene. I want to mention that my glasses are yet another pair from Kumaki Glasses Style -- all available at the Accessories Fair. You can see that I have chosen blue lenses (well natch) with silver frames and turned the glasses into shades with a fairly solid opacity. So many choices, it is fun and easy to adapt the various glasses to whatever color scheme you need for the day. If you have been watching closely, you know that I have now shown you four different styles. Don't worry; there will not be a test. And for you photographers out there that might be wondering? Jade AND The Accessories Fair

This morning I did a feature on Accessories Fair 2011-- the camels, the desert sands and being a snake charmer. I had intended for that to be my Color of the Week (JADE) post. But ya know, don't you? When faced with so many pretty things -- and especially those that are jadish, what's a gal to do? So here is my updated (read that as second) color challenge post. The titles are almost the same; after 2,000 posts it is sometimes tricky to come up with something brand new.The Accessories Fair is still very much in the theme as both my gloves and fans are part of the new releases that you can see tomorrow starting at 1 PM SLT. They hale from Bliensen + MaiTai and are only available at the fair right now, so if you love these, get over there soon. The fans come in five colors. You can choose from animated (dancing), animated after you type in "/1start" or static which is what I used for these photos.I had lots of fun with these shots, challenging as they were; a background beyond the background as well as avatars to derender made for some tricky work *wink*. But still, I am happy with my pics. I needed to take this last shot so that you could see I matched my toenail color. It too, is JADE.I bet you are eying the multi-tiered skirt. Come on, fess up. You know you want one? There are seven colors to choose from including a gorgeous bright blue! The belt is actually designed to fit lower on the skirt, but I had a perfect companion in a sheered top from WoE, so I did a little rearranging. You can get your own Up or Down Skirt  at Mischief Fashion. Jade At The Accessory Fair

Jade is the color of the week. The Accessories Fair opens tomorrow. Put them together and you have a stylish sneak peak at the event that begins Saturday 1 pm SLT. It is quiet over in the desert this morning but tomorrow begins an event filled time with a photo contest and an "adventure". (More on that below). Charity events are most often spectacular. Builders and designers come together with a vision hoping to make our real life world a bit better. I love seeing the creations they come up with. This RFL venue is both different and fun. Two connected sims with themes of "oasis" and "dig". Both are great to explore.Hang out at the oasis market; charm a snake with your very own pungi (new Scrabble word there). Explore the shops with exclusive new releases. Donate to Relay For Life by purchasing from special vendors. Most of all enjoy this great build by beth33 Beaumon with details help from Charriol Ansar. For some of you the Fair is all about shopping! I have some superb things to show you from the designers at this event. First up and with an appropriately "jade-like" hue, is the lovely set from ruchica (main store). The set also come in orange -- we'll call it "coral" as its gemstone designation. Intricately detailed and exotic, this is definitely something I will enjoy wearing often. ****************************************Here is all you need to know with pertinent links.Accessory Fair 2011 "Ancient Egypt: Discover the Treasures" photo contest entries will be accepted beginning June 13th, Monday at 1 PM SLT. The photo contest theme is "Treasure Hunter" with a cash prize set to 10,000L$ for the ultimate look. Find all details of the photo contest on: Quest is on, adventurers! The Accessory Fair 2011 Treasure Quest starts on Sunday, June 19th at 11 AM SLT and ends on Sunday, June 26th at 3PM SLT.  It will feature clues and riddles to solve that will lead the adventurer in you through the two sims in search of the mystery of the Pharaoh. Purples - Edible And Not

Since I was dressed in a cute new and definitely purple dress by VESNA, it seemed fitting to journey over to Fungus where color abounds, much of it in the red-blue section of the color wheel. I have more to say about Fungus, but first let us talk about the dress -- well of course! The Krushka dress is the equivalent of the perfect " Little Black Dress", and indeed it comes in black as well as two other warm colors. It has a nicely shaped sculpty prim skirt which works well for me. It also has enough detailing and texture to keep things interesting. It is a great canvas to show off jewelry and accessories. I should mention that there is a smallish logo style tag on the back of the dress. I went with a minimalist look and simply added a belt and some cute star leggings from Shania's Sock Shop and my new I-So-Love-It belt from Ducknipple (Zombie Popcorn Hunt). OK, now about Fungus --I found Fungus during its building stage, long before it was open. I have forgotten now what sim it used to be, but that locale was in my photo op landmarks. So, being a good girl, every six months or so I go through ALL those landmarks and delete the ones that have disappeared. Thus, I thought of Fungus as the purple fantasy shopping sim "coming soon".It is that, with cute little boutiques scattered amongst the giant mushrooms and grasses -- but it is MORE. It is also a Game Within a Game adventure, one where you hunt, solve puzzles and pick up a few goodies along the way. When you TP into Fungus you will find a board that gives you an intro notecard and a hud. You will need to wear the HUD in order to track your discoveries. I spent a couple of hours in Fungus over the weekend and I have found some keys and some chests and some that actually match (LOL). I have also found some mysteries and an idea of what I am trying to do.Even though I have been playing adventure games for many years, I am in a bit over my head at Fungus. I am sure it isn't all that difficult as plenty of folks have finished to the end. Trying to see if there were any hints or forums about the Snail Trail adventure, I found schnaeppchen's page and saw that for a moment at least, she was at the top of the game board :D. It looks like 33 people had completed the quest at that time in mid May. I will be going back to now and then to search and ponder. I am not too worried about completing the journey; it is fun just to try. OTR: Red Desert

It has been unseasonably cool in my part of the globe. Missing the desert winds, I looked into Cajsa's list of places and found this new to me sandy Arizona like landscape, Red Desert - Horse Country.

You can grab a horse at the entrance, walk or run (no flying) over the sandy dunes. It is a fun place with an old mine as well as a meth lab - LOL. Very much an off the grid experience, I do feel warmer now.

My exploration outfit includes two pieces from MISCHIEF, a very cute tied top and a sculpty denim skirt. Both are fresh and sassy. If you are a hippy gal, switching to a skirt shape will probably be called for. Both designs come in a variety of colors. Fatpacks are available as well as coordinating accessories.

Two hunt items accessorize my outfit. A cute and beachy (well desert is close to a beach -- at least they both have sand)  shell necklace from BeautyCode on The ??? Hunt. One for the guys is in the pack too. My  Japanese Lucky Cricket Sandels are from Ziva's Underground Footware on the Silk Road Hunt 2.

My poses are from the Hodgepodge set at Juxtapose.

Of Spring, Bunnies and Eggs

It is the bunny and egg weekend, and beyond that the shopping is great!  With a host of sale groups in force over the next two days, there is pretty much something for everyone. Two bound to be favorites are this great top and dress set from .: Acid & Mala Creations,  specially priced for group members. And even better -- well for those of us that usually live in pants -- you can get a huge fatpack of the tops for a very, very low price on Super Bargain Saturday. I was over there this morning and a line for the vendor was evident *wink*.  All layers are included so you can actually wear this without the main prim piece and tuck into a peasant skirt or whatever. I like multipurpose designs!

Another great find with a holiday flare is this cute Easter basket with brown eggs (my favorite) and carrot chewing bunny. It is a gift from Baffle.  And in case you have last Fall's group gift sandals from G Field, they go perfectly with the top or dress.

City Gal

There is no doubt in my mind that the K-CODE JADE set belongs to a city gal. So I ventured over to Old New York for this photo shoot. It is good to revisit favorite places of old. Even better when they are still around :D.

I always wanted to live in Old New York. I can't remember how long the sim has been around now -- over a year for sure. In the beginning garnering a rental was impossible. I noted that there were several apartments available now. Our virtual world moves so quickly. Places, styles and designs become outmoded shortly after being introduced. That is a good reminder that we all need to reach and grow and fulfill our potential -- everyday.

A Little Birdie Told Me

There's lots of newness over in the KOSH camp -- these new Ginko earrings for example. Neutrally colored with lots of flare they match the just out as I type multi-piece Ginko set for this session's 50 of a Kind event. That set includes a double necklace, bracelet and ring and will be available for up to two weeks when another item takes its place. There are only 50 to be had -- well I bet you figured that out *wink*.My personal favorite of the new releases is this super cute and just my size (small) cottage with covered rooftop deck.  It comes in a variety of rezzing options; just a house, house on a 35 meter floating island, house on a 60 meter floating island. All are very prim thrifty so even 512 folks can enjoy this open and comfortable abode. All inclusive as shown here, it weighs in at 70 prims. The interior features a sunny window "greenhouse" area. Open and inviting, it gives you a great view of the endless skies.  Another bit of newness is this multi-pose pillow and computer from KaiaGaia, a cute little shop in a village of shabby chic furniture stores. It is prim friendly at 2 and 4 prims a piece and was a DSN gift.  Style Notes: Hair: >TRUTH< Melinda - copperSkin: [:T:] Zoe / sunkissed :: 06 BrassClothing: KOSH- HK pants Silver; CONCRETE FLOWERS- NEWSPAPER VEST-daily mirror-Shoes: PixelDolls Romance) Prarie Boot . Retro Fever

Yes, you guessed it, this is my AVOCADO Asparagus (TY Miyoko) 52 weeks post. But in fact it is much more than that -- to me at least. It is a story about the wheels of time, synchronicity and of course RETRO!The story starts off earlier in the week when I had the opportunity to review some of the recently released items from Sn@tch. When I was new (insert wheels of time theme here) I featured a lot of Sn@tch goods; group gifts, hunt items and even some things I purchased *wink*. My favorites were almost always those with a retro theme. So when I saw this new outfit called Marcia with an avocado option, my search for this week's color was over.I did a lot of posts highlighting Sn@tch designs, some on location. One that echoed my retro theme took place in a trailer park (insert synchronicity marker here). This morning found me scanning the search entries hoping to find a photogenic spot to recreate the theme of this post. Now before you judge my photography too harshly, be aware that THREE YEARS have gone by :D.My morning trekking left me sans photo op spot and the realization that there are a lot of 2007 builds out in the world still. Plan B took me took me over to  Blue Sky where I found two new retro homes to choose from. The photo at right was to be my avocado post.Click on any small photo for a high rez version. That would have been the end of the story, except that JUST as I was TPing home, a notecard came in from the owner of Blue Sky with the offer of ---- drumroll and synchronicity reprise please ----- an extremely cute little Airstream style trailer. I was so in love. THAT was what I had been looking for all along. The Sakura (the name of my first bunny) Trailer comes furnished and weighs in at 161 prims. The steps are button activated, the glowing overhead lights are touch on - off and the furniture comes with a collection of poses.I wanted to move right in, but alas, no extra prims at the moment. So I took the rez box over to the sandbox, added a second rez box generated surround forest glade and it was so very comfy. The trailer will be available starting the 16th at the next Chic Limited event. The venue is empty at the moment but here is the SLURL if you want to bookmark for opening day.A modern dinette and couch are included as well as decor accessories and lighting. There is a ladder leaning up on the far side for accessing the roof should you want to add luggage or other props -- or sunbathe in your bikini. Now all I need is a really nicely made pink flamingo and I can revisit the past in style. The Marcia set comes complete with three color variations of the cropped sweater -- avocado, purple and cobalt and includes SEVEN brightly colored capris. I seem to be navigating into capris loving territory these days. I like them better than shorts; you can dress them up or down. The pieces are mod - no copy - transfer so you can share the fatpack with a friend if you are willing to let go of any color *wink*.Style Notes: Hair: A&A Shirley Hair Mahogany (new release)Skin: [:T:] Zoe / tan :: 04 ElectricClothing: :::Sn@tch Marcia Sweater (Avocado-J):::; :::Sn@tch Tweed Capris (Avocado-P)::: (new release)Shoes: A-BOMB Khitten ShoesAccessories: FAB.PONY "Fantasy60" Earrings (Space Garden); Rainbow Bag GreenPoses by:Pffiou, BehaviorBody, the Sakura Trailer dining chair[...]

Testing One-Two-Three

I did a lot of testing last eve trying to see if I could get a good shadow photo without an hour of post processing :D.  The answer is "maybe", but as someone commented on my previous post, maybe we should start a PURIST No Shadow group *wink*.   That is most likely my plan.  I did get an answer from Kirsten about my personal viewer issue. It is not a 64 bit issue, it is a graphics card issue. I have ATI. Faster and better for many things, but not SL. Actually I sort of knew that, so subconsciously there must have been a plan. I tried shooting at 3500 pixels which helped some but also introduced other issues. So no easy fix for me.I took these photos this morning with the same settings and in default lighting. NO retouching muddies the comparison. The top is from Kirsten's viewer S 21 (5) and the bottom from Imprudence 1.4. They are very close in quality but for me Kirstens is a bit better. My bottom photo appears to have a few unloaded textures in the background. Not a viewer issue, just me without coffee.Click on either photo for a high rez version.Like some other photographers and bloggers out there I am still in a quandary. I like the full feel of subtle shadows, but I can live without them. I love the multiple layers and multiple attachment points of Viewer 2 but absolutely hate some of the other features -- mostly the enforced web add-ons for profile and now search. I don't want to work harder; I want to work smarter. I really have tried to embrace V2 and I can get around nicely in there now, but I still miss some features of Imprudence (and most likely other old style third party viewers). My very pretty jewelry is from Eclectica. I have had it in my "to be blogged" folder for some time. Last night it made its debut!  I paired it with the very popular Artemis dress from  Kouse's Sanctum (2011 Relay).Style Notes: Hair: Amacci Hair Jessica ~ Brown AuburnSkin: [:T:] Zoe / sunkissed :: 06 BrassClothing: [K~*~S] ArtemisAccessories: Eclectica Flounce earrings and necklacePoses by: EverGlow, LAP[...]
