Erk Crawl: 20th August 2011

2011-08-16T09:27:24.816+01:00

For those of you who don't know this already, Aussie podcaster, Erk, has been travelling in Europe and he'll be in London for an Erk-Crawl on Saturday 20th August. A few of us will be joining him. If you want to come along then here's the plan:

Cafe Lido at 11am for those that want brunch

The Argyll Arms at 12noon for those that prefer a liquid lunch! After that I suggest we do the usual and tweet using the #podcrawl hashtag, so late arrivals can follow us, or call Codger, Clithers or Rowley. No doubt we will end up in The Pillars of Hercules at some point.

Podcrawl Itinerary

2010-10-19T22:27:28.276+01:00

So, here is the itinerary for the Sheffield Podcrawl on Saturday 23 October.
This is more solid than "provisional", but is subject to change at any time.

Dave and Caroline will be at Sheffield railway station from about 10:30 on the Saturday morning, where the first of our long-distant comrades will be arriving between 10:45 and 11:00.

As the Codger will be absolutely gagging for a hot drink of the caffeinated variety on arrival, we will be heading over to the Showroom Cafe at about 11:30, only a short walk from the railway station. [map]

We will spend some quality time there, until the next batch of reprobates arrive at the railway station around midday.

From there, at about 13:00, we will be moving on to The Devonshire Cat on Wellington Street [map], from where we will probably waste the remainder of the day, sampling their somewhat extensive range of draught and bottled beers.

Because of the number of people who are travelling in from far away places, people will probably start leaving around 19:00 on the Saturday evening. Fear not, however as at least 5 of us are actually bedding down in Sheffield overnight, so the evening need not end quite so early.

So in summary:
  • From about 10:30 at Sheffield railway station
  • From about 11:30 at the Showroom Cafe
  • From about 13:00 at The Devonshire Cat

If we have your mobile number, we'll keep you posted with any changes to the above. If we don't, leave us a comment below and we'll get in touch.

I've switched comments OFF on this blog due to the distressing frequency with which Chinese/Japanese spam is being posted here. They were pretty much the ONLY comments...

If you have something you want to post here, you probably already know Grumbler, Codger, Clithers or Rowley, so please contact one of them...

Not long now till the London Podcrawl!

Made in the UK Podcrawl Special

2009-11-29T09:46:00.587+00:00

Professionalism completely thrown out of the window this time with some interviews with the hosts of Made in the UK after some alcohol was consumed for Podcrawl. Thanks to Adnams for sponsoring the event. There is expletives throughout, and so not entirely safe for work, but safe for headphones.

Many many thanks to the hosts, and to the artists who let us play their music on the show, without them, these projects would not happen.
