Right-hand drive cars are just like left-hand ones, except the shifter is on the left side. Pedals are still in the same place.

Poor Fey, I am not French Canadian, just a bilingual Canadian, I was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta and lived there until 2000 when I lived in Québec for 5 years. Also tuque is spelled correctly for french. Where as in english it is toque. Sorry Fey... tH

I'd almost guess the T5 has the OPTIONAL technology package that includes any or all of these features.... Maybe the explanation of the mystery buzzing/beeping is here. :) The optional Technology Package adds a pedestrian detection system (also with automatic braking), driver drowsiness alert, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist and adaptive cruise control. Also available are a blind spot monitoring system, parallel park assist and a rear cross-traffic alert system.

Comment on PWNG-038 Taking Its Toll by Mike Perry

Thu, 24 Oct 2013 08:27:23 +0000

I recently drove to Alberta and had to take the new Port Mann toll bridge, there was sign on the side of the rode about the toll, but I didn't have time to read it. I got dinged the administrative fee both ways in addition to the regular fee. But I got the bill and signed up on-line and am all set up now. But living in Squamish I've never heard about the toll until it was too late. MP

Número UNO! You are adorable. Love the date too - oftentimes I need to count from January onward :( I always wondered though about the change by date. Since I don't buy my cars in the town I live in I usually use those trips to where I got the car as weekend getaways, shopping extravaganza or swing through the town trips. I'm talking 200 miles. I traded my Subaru last year and for trade got $2300 more in Sioux Falls and paid about $1000 less for the HUGE carbon footprint (: Yukon. Took today off to buy paint and carpet. Pilates are done. My belly did not let me do smooth sit ups today! Anyway. I live on a busy corner and I am not usually here this time of day so I think the coast is clear and I can get out of the house with little to no road rage, I mean driveway. Have a great weekend! And thanks for the thought! Do you only wear black nail polish? And what color is your firman suit and do you wear sunglasses when you drive and do you ever stop to smell the roses? Photograph the scenery? I imagine it to be scenic. :D

Hey Fey! Good discussion of gasolines! I absolutely agree with Laughing Budda on using the highest octane blend for scooters. I have an Aprilla that actually calls for such a blend. I have noted a significant performance problem on another bike I used previously when I didn't use premium, and having learned from that experience, I've never used anything else in my Aprilla. In my Honda CRV however, I never use anything but regular. The cost is too great, and the manufacturer does not require anything other than regular. I'm not too choosy about whether it contains ethanol or not. Most of the regular in the southern US contains up to 10% unless you go to great effort to finds some that doesn't. About every 5 tanks or so, I put in a bottle of gas treatment to keep things clean. I'm not convinced that there is any better detergents in premium fuel. At least there isn't anything that I can't do better by using an additive used on a semi-regular basis.

Your more recent podcasts aren't showing up in iTunes, your last one listed there is October 26. I've found those of us with iDevices might get around this by subscribing on the Podcast App itself, but some who listen via iTunes on their Macs or PCs might not be able to do so. My first car was a Toyota Carona too! It was red, I can't remember what year it was, I think '71. I was a great little car, I could spin the wheels around tight corners when I was hooning around. My first ever new car was my Pontiac Sunfire that I bought in 2002 and still drive today. It's been a very reliable car.

Hi George: For the most part I can resist the doldrums that come with the rain. However, there are times when the rain is either non-stop for a number of days (ie, if it rains continually for more than 5 days) or if it is really pouring hard and relentlessly for more than a couple days, then I start to lose my patience for the rain. But these occurrences are rare. What is more frustrating is when I get my cars nice and clean because the forecast says its going to be nice, but then I am forced to drive them in the rain. That makes me more blue than 5 days of rain! ;-) Generally, a day or two of sun completely regenerates me and I am able to tolerate another week or so of rain. The summers here are usually superb (not too hot), and they make up for the wet winters. Fey

Hi Fey, I just wanted to tell you what a fine job you are doing with your new lil' live sex garage show. It has been a pleasure to listen to on all levels -- hearing Peter and Laffing Buddha and the Fat One... I (as you know) am not a car buff.... BUT!!! I do own a car and so I appreciate the idea that I might learn a thing or two... and be very entertained while doing so! I like that you are taking the time to allow non-car-centric chit chat to filter through, as we learn more about you and your guests. Plenty of good, fun chatter all the way around! It is impressive that you have taken to the medium of live audio so seemingly effortlessly and with such good results... and that you produced your little show opener with such panache! I love it! I also appreciate the way you gently guide your guests and panel through the show with an end result that is on target and great to listen to! Somehow... it seems I am listening to a show that has been around for years.... yet I know it hasn't! Well done!

See, this is what happens when you miss an episode or two of a podcast. They talk about you! You have a great memory! The Healey is a 1959 Sprite, which Americans call a bugeye and the Brits call a frogeye. It has a non-original 1275 Austin engine, overbored, of course, and Weber carbs. And it goes lickety-split. It also has a 5-speed Datsun transmission so no grinding gears. And Johnny Lightning made a toy out of it, which tickles me mightily. Here's one: It's a fun little car. You would like it. :) Thanks for remembering!
