I'll just add a bit to what Corey said. I havn't taken Bailey over there, so far have been lucky to find people to stay at my home here with him. What I know about quarantine is this - if I would move there without much notice, I would have to put him in quarantine for six months. Now my vet just told me that if I have about a years notice, there is a process that can be done over here that would avoid quarantine. He would vaccinate Bailey and document it, then there is a wait period, more tests/titres/documentation($$$), and then he could go right over with me, but it would take almost a year for that. Bailey being the most loveable but truly most neurotic dog I've ever known, I hope he dies of happy old age without ever having to make a transatlantic flight!!! Liza

Good question. Actually, she leaves Bailey here in the states while she's over there. Since she's only been going over for short stints, it hasn't been a problem, but if she were to start living over there, she'd have to find another solution. As far as I know, quarantine rules are still in effect, but that's not a topic I'm completely familar with the ins and outs of. Glad you're enjoying the podcast. Corey

Hi guys... I found the first half of the Liza interview interesting and informative, but I have a question: How does she manage to be a dog owner AND spend time in Ireland? Wouldn't Bailey face a quarantine every time she went over there? Or has that rule been changed.
