Class 1 Progress Reel. 23rd December '07

2008-12-09T04:18:05.652+00:00

Whoops, I haven't updated my blog for AGES. The final few projects at AM were pretty hectic, and my full time job got crazy too, with everybody wanting Christmas related stuff. But I'm back now, and here's my Class 1 progress reel, with some extra fancy rendering.
3 months work right there. And it just wizz's by!!!

Plus, heres some of the planning drawings, and the final few Stu poses. Concern, Exhaustion (quite apt) and Balance.
So, that's it for me and Class 1. Got a week or so off now, and boy do I need it. I've learnt so much in Class 1. I'll miss Chris Chua, my mentor. That guy really knows his stuff. He's now working at Pixar on Wall E.
So, roll on Class 2!

Vanilla Walk Blocking (Saturday 24th November)

2008-12-09T04:18:06.278+00:00

On to walks, and making Stu show 'Strength'. The walks are just in the blocking phase. I think the real work will be next week, when we spline it all.

Tailor Bounce (Sunday 18th November)

2008-12-09T04:18:06.619+00:00

Here's my Tailor Bounce assignment. I have to say, I did have fun with this one. Even though I had to sit through an hour long tutorial to work out how to do the water. Hopefully it was worth it.
The skid, between frames 47 and 60 was a total nightmare however. I would never have got it done without the help of Animation Mentor's Public Review. Thanks to the tips from my fellow AM students, I managed to muddle my way through it.
Walks starting this week. Very exciting.
