Annacurra have little bit extra

Annacurra captured the Keating Trophy when they outplayed Bray Emmets by 0-6 to 1-0 in the twenty minutes of extra time played when the two sides were deadlocked at 2-7 to 1-10 at the end of this enjoyable and honestly contested Keating Trophy final played in almost continuous rain at Pearse's Park, Arklow on Saturday last.

To have 110 caps for your country in any sport is a phenomenal achievement. To have those 110 caps split across two sports is a mind-boggling achievement. To have done it all before your 20th birthday is a mind-blowing achievement.

The drought is finally over for injury ravaged Greystones RFC. Kevin Lewis' walking wounded side brought their five-game losing streak to an end with a hard-fought and extremely tense 17-13 victory over eighth placed Galwegians. Saturday's triumph, achieved on the club's 80th anniversary, saw 'Stones climb off the foot of the table.
